Tom,

You can download a demo I made for a show of my last eclipse in Libya, which I think is what you are refering too (second sequence) :

TheDom-3DSolar-Small.jpg

Here is the demo : http://thefreedom.free.fr/share/dload.php?...amp;file_id=116

Here is the full PTE project : http://thefreedom.free.fr/share/dload.php?...amp;file_id=144

Dom,

That’s exactly what I was looking for, I have down loaded you Demo and copied the footprint, I hope you don’t mind?.

I have produces a one slide demo and sent it to you by e-mail, please let me know here on the forum if you have any suggestions on improvement,

Tom,

to simulate a moon orbiting around a planet on the horizontal plain and running in front and then behind the planet

Tom,

I tought there was the example you explained, but there aren't exactly what you explained, so I have put some slides more on my example to show how to do in order the moon is first in front and then behind.

I have also had an example of what we can do with ellipse : a ball (golf) which have a part of an elliptic orbit and which find the hole.

There are 3 slides about moon's orbit

1 The moon is always in front

2 add an second "earth" the opcacity of which change from 0% to 100%, so it's now in front then behind

3 add zoom effects on the moon as if we were at a distance from earth equal at the diameter of the moon's orbit.

The new version is here

If it was really the moon, it's always the same face which is visible from earth, so you have to put twice the value for rotation of the "moon".

I have a modification ready, but for the moment, I can't connect to the server.

I have had a look at your example by the rolling ball, am I correct in assuming that you Substitute a moon for the number on the ball and modify timepoints?,I’m only guessing here, I’ll wait on your modified file to see how the master does it.

Tom.
