As some of you know. over the past 8 wks i had cataract removal on both eyes. Am trying to adjust to the new implanted lenses and have been searching for test patterns to check against.Still have to get my glasses changed -- will likely be mid January 09 by the time their lenses are changed.

found a great site this morning that will also help those that need standard colour charts etc

Hello Ken,

I had cataract surgery with phacoemulsification and lens implant in both eyes at age 66, about 8 years ago, and I have never looked back. I had rapid-onset cataracts, about 10 months from starting to where I was unable to drive at night because of the interference with my vision.

The biggest surprise was my color vision after the surgery. Whites were really white, almost blue-white, and colors were just brilliant. The surgeon said that natural lenses yellow with age, and replacement with water-clear plastic lenses restores the proper 'white balance' of the eyes.

I am intrigued though as to why you are looking for color charts.

i send my computer signal to tv's via svhs output -- i didn't care what i got as long it had straight lines

over the years i have sent many scans of my MacBeth colour chart to people -- it is a known value

- i was surprised that it was on the sites i put in the original thread - a bonus :) as it is true and has the descriptiom chart as well

my left was supposed to ne great for distance -- it isnt - the right is

have to go to my Eye guy tomorrow and want to be ready to discuss

I have come up with a before and after sample of what i used i to see - - both the Dr and surgeon were amazed at the simplicity of the sample -- a white business card and an ivory business card

as you say colours are bright :)
