See if this is what you are looking for:

http://www.learntomakeslideshows.net/endev...onChange584.zip

If it is correct, the problem is that you have accidentally clicked on the small box between the zoom (Horiz and Vert) which makes your animation non-linear in circularity resulting in asymmetrical opposing objects. Check your numbers against my numbers to see where I made changes.

Best regards,

Lin

FAWI-

In 5.7.3... some of the created cogs, within my design,

have been losing their rotational positions.

Viewing this in 5.7.2 first, makes my point obvious -

Here is one such cog link. (180.98kb)

Hi Lin, thanks for your quick response...

I see and understand your point.

But actually the blakHalo.png (Parent) is at (zoom 105 - 126) by choice.

This effect i have used on car wheels spinning towards the horizon(non-rounded in circularity)

The projects opened and put to movie are identical, only the PTE program changed.

The problem is best viewed side by side - so I made two movies-

Created-in 5.7.2.mp4(how it was or should be rotating)

Created-in 5.7.3.mp4(How it has now changed)

All i did was upgraded to 573 from 572

So maybe its something under the bonnet.

Cheers,

Hello Steev,

I confirm something changed.

Actually, that's the parent-children relationship.

The children are not affected by the deformation of the parent the same way they did before.

I hope Igor can put it back and that this modification (back to what it was) is not against what he plans to introduce in next betas.

Hi Steev,

I understand now - I couldn't quite make sense of what you were trying to achieve from the original sample.

Yes, it seems that there must have been a change in programming formula math between 5.7.2 beta and 5.7.3 beta - perhaps Igor can look at this and it will help with diagnosis.

Best regards,

Lin

Thanks for discovering this problem. It is a bug in Beta 3 because we've added changes in the code of the program for future 3D transformations to objects.

We'll try fix it quickly.
