What's still missing from version 5?

Can anyone tell me what basic functionality is still needed to complete version 5? I don't mean any feature suggestions or requests, just the functionality we had in version 4.48. Thanks.

The 'sync slides to music' is the most important for me. I haven't downloaded any of the 5.0 betas yet until it can do this. I realize this puts me behind the learning curve but it's great that many here are testing out the features as they become available. I hope they put the 'sync' stuff in the next beta release so I can start playing too.

I made a little tutorial (in french only) at this adress which explain how to do that enough easily and give a very good result, for Pan, zoom, rotate or opacity or several of them.

It's PTE which make itself the most part of the calculations.

Based on Igor's latest message (see the link above by Ken), he states that this will be added in beta #10-11. Here's the part where this was mentioned:

Beta #10-11

- Navigation bar;

- Buttons, hyperlinks, text objects with real shadow as in DVD Builder menu or in Adobe Photoshop;

- Textured background;

- Importing of objects from old v4.48 projects;

- Support of EXIF rotated JPEGs;

- Adjusting of speeds for Pan/Zoom/Rotate objects.

So am I correct to assume that you will be able to start a motion slowly, increase the speed mid track and slowing it down when it comes to the end of its travel, as in Adobe Premier?

It's possible today with PTE. You just have to use the keypoints for that.

You're right, Jean-Pierre, and your system is very clever and effective.

I made me too some essays of this type, but in my opinion there are two little problems:

1) this method is a little too complicated for a common PTE user;

2) the effect isn't perfect, if you don't use many keypoints.

I agree with you that it will be better for everybody, even for me, when there will be the function, but use the future, as I read, about the result we want isn't right, it will be only easier and quicher to do.

Many people want this function for opacity to have better 3rd image for instance, it will be a good thing to do that quicker than to day.
