Dave, It is impossible to set true zero size for several reasons (for example to avoid errors like "division by zero"). So you can set only 0.001. Tom, We think it is not a bug. Imagine a starship which flies away from you to space. Initially its visual size reduces very quickly and then it stays as a dot for very long time. Using "Perspective correction" option we simulate true speed of movement of an object in 3D space.

Tom, Yes, it is a bug which appeared in v5.6.0 Please try v5.6.3 Beta which contains only this fix: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/picturestoexe-setup-beta.zip It is a logical problem. The caption is linked with central position of a button. Adding of a frame will complicate things. I need to think more about this issue. I've added this issue to my TODO list for v5.7 Thanks.

KDJ, Firstly I'm very sorry and apologize that you didn't receive any response nor from me nor from our support person on your request regarding that projector's issue! The most likely your request was forwarded to my email address and I didn't reply yet. For the most difficult technical problems I'm the only one person in our company who can solve it. Here is our problem which I'm trying to resolve. With the forum we receive the great help of this community and every new user quickly gets all help on his request. Regarding Canon SX50 issue. As written above and I've read from here http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/archive/ind...573660-p-3.html it is a hardware problem of this projector and many users experience this problem (not only users of PicturesToExe). The next model - SX60 doesn't have this issue anymore. - Several users of SX50 recommended set 50Hz (instead of 60Hz) which fixes the problem. I've learned this advice from AVSForum. Did you try to set 50Hz using DVI connection to the projector? Please note that you need DVI digital connection, because VGA connection doesn't allow to utilize 50Hz. Please let me know about result. - If you are using Windows XP, did you try to modify a project to run slideshow in a windowed mode? Set same width/height size and no border option to simulate fullscreen. Will it give a better visual result? - We can try to display picture every second frame - simulate 30Hz at 60Hz of real frame rate. Even if it will help, smoothness of show for Pan/Zoom effect will not be enough. Sadly to say but I'm doubt that we can find a good software fix for PicturesToExe if Canon is not able to fix the problem in a firmware update.

As I know this issue happens because of damaged or incorrectly encoded MP3 music file. If you temporarily convert MP3 to WAV and this problem doesn't appear it will confirm that reason in MP3 file.

Steve, One important addition - currently it is not Mac version of PicturesToExe (please see my remark above). PicturesToExe for Windows will able create executable file of slideshow for Mac.

Peter, Many software products create similar hidden files in a folder with images. Windows Explorer creates Thumbs.db file when you turn on Thumbnails view in the Explorer. Picasa creates Picasa.ini file. Probably you didn't see WnSoftFolderInfo.ini file because it is always hidden file. And normally Windows Explorer doesn't show hidden files. Regarding renaming. You're right - WnSoftFolderInfo.ini was created after this operation. I think it is a small bug which I've missed. Because no need to do it in case of renaming.

Peter, PicturesToExe (main program) since v4.30 automatically creates this hidden file WnSoftFolderInfo.ini when you at least one time rotate an image in Slide list or in File list. The file is one for all images in that folder. The content of this file looks like: [picture19.jpg] RotationAngle=1 [picture16.jpg] RotationAngle=1 If you delete this file and then open some project which used one of these rotated images you will see that images have lost rotation information. Since v5.xx there is another way to rotate images - use Objects and animation editor. And information about rotation will be stored in a project file. Also rotation in Objects and animation editor performs by video card (in fact for free). If you rotate images in Slide list (File list) it takes additional although short CPU time (10-50 ms) to load such image.

The most likely the next version 5.7 will able create slideshows for Mac (executable file like EXE for Windows). We're testing this feature right now.

We're working on slideshow's engine for Mac and PicturesToExe for Windows will able create both kind of executable files: for Windows (EXE) and for Mac (APP). We need help of beta-testers who has Intel based Mac with Tiger or Leopard. I'll send created slideshow to see how it will play under Mac with hardware acceleration. If you want to join this beta-testing please add your post to this topic and specify model of your Mac computer/laptop, version of MacOSX and installed video card (if you know). P.S. full version of PicturesToExe for Mac will be the next step (not in this year).
