  1. Mike, Yes, I've uploaded all shows now: PicturesToExe Deluxe 5.0: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/show/PteShow.zip http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/show/Late_Summer_at_the_Garden.zip PicturesToExe Deluxe 5.6: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/PteShow_v560.zip http://www.wnsoft.com/test/Late_Summer_at_...Garden_v560.zip
  2. Lin, Thank you for the interesting observation. We think this difference comes from reading of multiple resources (images/music) from one EXE file and from separate files. We load images and music in several parallel threads of CPU and Windows better optimizes reading when we load images from different files in opposite to one EXE file. It's our supposition. We'll explorer this issue later.
  3. Mike, PteShow demo was initially created in v5.0. Please try updated version I've re-created in v5.6: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/PteShow_v560.zip (8 MB) But it is really strange issue, because there should be no problem with Vista. Jim, Usually all old slideshows should work. But the most often problem that sometimes happens on some PCs - incorrect work of drivers of video card. Simple updating these drivers cure the problem.
  4. What version of PicturesToExe you have used to make this slideshow? If v5.0 or newer, please use Windows Update to update drivers of video card and sound card. Please try this official demo from our website: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/show/Late_Summer_at_the_Garden.zip How it will play on your laptop?
  5. We have published updated YouTube settings on our server to solve problem with uploading of slideshow on YouTube. When you open YouTube output window in PicturesToExe the program automatically will suggest you download and use updated settings. Please click Yes button to confirm. If PicturesToExe doesn't show the message about the updated settings, please wait 24 hours and try again. P.S. future v5.6.1 already will contain this fix for YouTube.
  6. We don't support Windows 98/Me anymore in v5.6. if it really necessary we could do it, but new slideshows use hardware acceleration and require more powerful PCs.
  7. Tony, Thanks for details, the problem definitely is on side of video card or drivers. And the updated drivers may help.
  8. Thank you for letting me know! It will be fixed in v5.6.1 (next week).
  9. Thanks, I have reproduced this problem (2 second's delay) in both versions 5.5 and 5.6. And we will investigate this problem. But the most likely the problem in this particular MP3 audio file. Probably rewinding inside this file works incorrectly. It may happens if MP3 encoded incorrectly or damaged during dowloading. The easy way to check it - temporary convert it to WAV and check for the problem again.
  10. Tony, If you are observing flickering of the screen with high frequency even when you call stand-alone EXE file of a slideshow it might be caused by problem somehow related with video system. Please try to update drivers for your video card.
  11. We know about problem with uploading on Youtube. We'll release updated version soon. Thanks for your patience and excuse me for the late response.
  12. Our web hoster has moved our official WnSoft.com web server to another computer due to system crash of the server. The IP address has been changed and there are possible problems with access to website during 1-2 days. Also we have to re-configure some settings of the website and emails. We are apologize for this problem! P.S. I'll reply on other questions and problems soon. I was busy with promotion of recently released PicturesToExe Deluxe 5.6 and preparations for next v5.7. Still had no free time even for short rest after v5.6.
  13. Did you try to play this file in Media Player Classic Home Cinema? http://www.wnsoft.com/soft/other/setup_mpc.exe
  14. Barry, The most likely output to second display will be possible in the next version 5.7 (it is in my TODO list). But it will work well only with Windows Vista, because Windows XP has serious problems with performance when we use Direct3D mode for secondary display.
  15. You know that in newest version 5.6 we have added the special menu with output options when you click Create button in PicturesToExe. I spent much time thinking on this improvement. But now I thought - could it be too difficult for new a user to make right choice? EXE, MP4, DVD, AVI, YouTube - probably too many equal options. A user tries MP4 and finds that it takes long time for rendering, then he tries DVD - bad quality for computer playback, skips EXE output and finally he decides that the program doesn't meet his needs. I'm wrong in my concern how you think?
  16. Lin, Please try newest version of Media Player Classic Home Cinema from their official website. Also there are various settings in the Main menu | View | Video Frame, probably it may help, although it seems to be a bug.
  17. Steve, Thanks for the updated info! I'm glad to learn that it is not our bug To all: Please excuse me that I still didn't reply on your recent emails.
  18. Yes, 4000 seconds is a perfect reliable solution for this issue. I call it temporary solution because it's work-around way and main variant also should work without bugs (after we fix the bug).
  19. Steve, Sorry, we can't reproduce this problem with TaskBar. The major change in this version 5.6 - we don't use anymore exclusive display mode for slideshows when Aero UI turned on in Windows Vista. It allowed solve some problems (bugs in Windows Vista) when in previous version you seen visual defects on screen on closing of slideshows (re-initializing screen mode). Strange that Taskbar doesn't hide on your PC. Our guess that your variant of Windows Vista Ultimate has some pre-installed 3rd party software which prevent from hiding of Taskbar. Please check up other applications - video player and Media Center in full screen mode and let me know about result.
  20. Thanks Peter and Paul! We've reproduced both problems. 1) First issue releated only with Windows Vista looks as quick flashing to desktop before started slideshow will appear on the screen (if Aero UI turned off) or started slideshow doesn't appear on the screen (if Aero UI turned on). Fixing of this probem may take long time, but we will release updated v5.6.1 immediately when solve it. Temporary solution: please use new "Run Slideshow" command which works much better than "Run Application". 2) Second bug with wrong Run action of next slide instead of current one if wait more than 2.5 seconds. We also will fix it. Temporary solution: set much longer time of slides. say 400 seconds instead of 2.5 seconds.
  21. Thanks for note. I've added ZIP variant. Jean-Pierre, Thanks for terrific demonstration of new effects in this version!
  22. WnSoft announces PicturesToExe Deluxe 5.6 - Professional slideshow software Download link: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/picturestoexe-setup.exe (6 MB) http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/picturestoexe-setup.zip (6 MB) What new in version 5.6: http://wnsoft.com/apr/news.htm Press-release: http://wnsoft.com/apr/press-release/pte-56.html We are very grateful and appreciate help of all people who helped us create this new version of PicturesToExe!
  23. Hello Dmitry, Thank you for the suggested corrections in language files! It seems that Invision forum blocks RAR archives by default. But I think that's right because ZIP is standard de facto
  24. Updated Release Candidate 3: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/picturestoexe-setup.zip (6 MB) + Updated language files. + Updated ReadMe.rtf and WhatsNew.rtf files. + Minor changes. If there will be no more bugs, this build will be published as a final release at the end of this week.
  25. I'm quite happy with my home Epson TW2000 (1080UB in USA). FullHD 1920x1080, HDMI, LCD, very deep black color and flawless color reproduction, flicker-free picture.
