Ray has found that this problem happens when Commodo firewall is working. Difficult to say - is it our bug or Commodo's. We wanted correctly process pressing of Win+M key in fullscreen slideshow created with future v5.6 (minimizing all windows), but it seems that Commodo doesn't like this method and stops normal work of slideshow. So we have to find another variant for Beta 1 of v5.6. No problem with v5.5 or with earlier versions. Thanks, Ray!

Dave, For the projector I set 1920x1080 60 Hz (primary), for LCD display set 1024x768 75 Hz (secondary).

I use Epson TW2000 (1080UB) LCD projector at home and it shows fine PicturesToExe slideshows. I set projector as primary monitor in display properties of Windows. Refresh rate is 60 Hz (also I tried 50 Hz with good result). Since you set projector as main/primary display output there should be no difference - is it projector or display. My slideshows work in fullscreen mode, hardware acceleration. If projector works as second display (not main) and you use some software which move a window of slideshow to a second monitor (projector or display) it may cause described problem. Hardware accelerated 3D mode doesn't work enough well on secondary display.

Objects with zero opacity will not be displayed at all and they don't take power of video card. But please remember that such image object still remains in video memory. If slide too heavy (many large images) it may work slowly because of lack of video memory.

Brian, I just disabled ability to view member's profiles for guests. Only for registered users.

I temporarily had to disable automatical validation of new users on the forum and manually approve new accounts, because spam-bots try to create 30-50 accounts every several hours to post spam on the forum. I spent much time today deleting a hundred of created spammer-accounts. Many thanks to our moderators who quickly deleted spam messages. Same problem happened with many Invision based forums: spammers found a way to how avoid captcha password verification during registration and automatically create thousands accounts for spam messages. I'm waiting for complete solution. Invision promissed to issue an improved security update v2.3.6 today later. Sorry for this problem.

In version 5.6 we've added 3D for new transition effects. Maybe later in 5.7 it become possible to operate with objects in 3D space, too.

We'll update the forum today. Invision Power Board has issued the security update. It will solve a problem with appearing of spam messages.

We're still working on v5.6 I hope Beta 1 will be ready on this week. Sorry for delay. We've added one more new transition effect betwen slides - Swap 3D (In addition to other new effects of v5.6: Flip 3D and improved Curling of Page). Also new Mask object will be improved - it will possible to apply several Masks to one image for creating virtually unlimited special effects.

We just fixed this bug for future v5.6. It may happens because of empty text object only (no text) in mini-Player. In this project there was a text template for all slides - "Display filename of main image". But some slides didn't have main image and text comment became an empty string.

I just realized that in this demo I've used photographs by Bill & Karen Hines from England 2003 AV without their permission. Excuse me, Bill! I very like this slideshow and often use these photos in my internal beta-testing.

Peter, It's a special Mask object available in future v5.6. You can use any form of Mask not only circle. I think Dominique will much better use Masks than me Beta should be ready in a month.

Peter, There is a trick which will help to reach the desired result. Choose custom speed for Rotation and set range 1-100 (instead 0-100 by default). It will look practically as a linear speed and PicturesToExe will take rotate values from first and last keyframes ignoring Rotate values from intermediate keyframes (between first and last ones) - exactly what you need.
