I'm very grateful you for your patience! Now I found exact reason of this problem and we'll try to rework new EXIF module which caused this problem. I'll upload beta 16 tomorrow. Please let me know how it will work.

different menu problems - Application Error!
Igor replied to baldsparky's topic in General Discussion
Thank you very much! I reproduced this problem with your EXE files and we will this problem tomorrow in beta 16. Also I found another bug - there were no black strips on my display (1024x768), although your slide show has aspect ratio 16:10. We'll fix this bug, too. Both problem exists when "Hardware acceleration" option is turned off. -
I almost found code where this problem occurs. Please try this beta 16 NAS4 http://www.wnsoft.com/test/apr-deluxe_nas4.zip If it will work fine, we found reason of this problem and will rewrite one small module.

Thank you for the help! Please try this beta 16 NAS3: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/apr-deluxe_NAS3.zip (2 MB)

different menu problems - Application Error!

Paul, I just sent you personal message via forum. Please send me both EXE files - "My P2E Presentations.exe" and "Project1.exe" where I can reproduce this problem. With these files we easily find and fix this bug. -
Please try beta 16 NAS2: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/apr-deluxe_29-05-2007.zip (4 MB)

Help running PTE embedded actions via MS Vista?
Igor replied to rick4pte's topic in General Discussion
Ricky, Please try to this Project1.exe demo can run another slide show: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/RunAndExit.zip (650 KB) I still can't reproduce this problem, I just tested again under Windows Vista. -
Please help me in solving this problem. You said me that beta 10 worked fine and beta 11A already had this problem. I can prepare series of beta versions to find moment when this problem occured and we'll fix this problem. Here is a first beta NAS1: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/apr-deluxe_NAS1.zip (2 MB) Thank you in advance,
-
Hello, please try this pre-beta 16: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/apr-deluxe_28-05-2007.zip Will it help to solve this problem?

Lin, Thank you. One additional moment for discussion. "Run application after last slide" option works only as it called - after last slide. If user click Esc during a show this option will not work. However there is undocumented option in .pte project file opt_runapponexitiflastslide if set it to 0 (zero), "Run application after last slide" will work even on pressing of Esc key. Should we make this option available public in Project options? Although I don't see any free place for this checkbox.

Lin, You are absolutely right. There is a problem with "Run Application" action. We'll rework this moment in the next v5.10 - we'll manage several individual slide shows as one virtual slide show and this will solve this problem. We can't do it right now, because this work will take at least one month and full beta-testing all PicturesToExe. Currently there are two solutions. First variant, as Lin said, turn off "Hardware acceleration" option in Screen tab of Project options in slide show which will act as menu (to run other slide shows). Another variant. Don't use "Run Application" at all. Use "Run Application And Exit" action together with "Run application after last slide" option (in Advanced tab of Project options) to return back to menu slide show.

Please try to encode another slide show and play file in media player.

Where did you try to play burned DVD disc - on PC or DVD player? If on DVD player and you have AV reciever with coaxial/optical connection, check up audio settings of in your DVD player. Audio output for MPEG should be PCM (not Bitstream). DTS and Dolby outputs can be Bitstream.

We just prepared special beta, probably it will work faster on your PC, please try it: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/apr-deluxe_28-05-2007.zip

I should a little correct my previous words. If "Hardware acceleration" option disabled and slides don't use any Pan/Zoom effects or animation, Fade effect should works with same speed and smoothness as v4.48 and for any source images (1024x768 or large 3500x2300).
-
Den, What size of images (in pixels) you use in your slide show? In "Flowers" demo with simple Fade effect I used 1024x768 JPEG images. Maybe you use large images directly from digital camera? It can be reason of this and other problems (large size of EXE file, long loading). Of course, more fast video like Radeon 9600 or Geforce 5700 can handle 8 Mpixel images with 75 frames per second, but Geforce 7300 is not enough fast for this.

Den, It's exceptionally strange problem. First moment, when you disable "Use hardware acceleration" option in Screen tab of Project option and create EXE file, simple transition effects (as Fade in/out) should work as in previous v4.48 Because it's almost same code. Second, your PCs and video card should be quite enough for using "Hardware acceleration" mode and Pan/Zoom effects. Even more, v5.00 and hardware acceleration makes even simple Fade transition effect better that in v4.48 I started full antivirus scanning on my PC and antivirus couldn't disturb to work of v5.00's slide show. Pan/Zoom effects played flawless during this process. Please let me know how these demo work on your PC: "Flowers" - http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/show/Flowers.zip (1.5 MB) "PteShow" - http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/show/PteShow.zip (8 MB) Peter, Yes, we found full solution for this problem already in beta 13.

Only in not synchronized mode, music will play without rewindings. In v5.1 or v5.2 we plan to make possible compilation of several individual projects to one EXE file and you will able to make menu and slide show with any necessary behaviour in one EXE file.
-
Dominique, "Pause show when window of slide show becomes inactive" option added in beta 11 By default we use exclusive fullscreen display mode for slide shows in v5.00 It provides ideally smooth playback of Pan/Zoom effects and maximal hardware acceleration. But you can uncheck 'Use hardware acceleration" option in Screen tab of Project options to run video player over slide. p.s. if be fully honest we can add third display mode with hardware acceleration but not exclusive display mode. It's behaviour almost as v4.48 slide show but still almost ideal Pan/Zoom effects. But I'm worry too complicate things. A lot of modes, it's could be terrible.

Thanks, we reproduced and fixed this problem in beta 15.
