For developers. Main PicturesToExe's folder: Latest installed PicturesToExe 5.0 version: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PicturesToExe\InstallPath5 (For example: "C:\Program Files\WnSoft PicturesToExe\5.0") In PicturesToExe's main folder you can find UninstallCfg1.ini file. In this file "Config" in section "Params" locates folder where placed all settings of this current version: (For example: Config=C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\PicturesToExe\Versions\5.0 ) "ConfigCommon" locates common folder where places common files of version 5.0 and future versions of PicturesToExe (Templates, Buttons, Navigation bar templates): (For example: ConfigCommon=C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\PicturesToExe ) If you want to write an application which installs new Buttons/NavBar templates you can use this information.

I just uploaded updated Pre-Release version with a fix of small and rare visual problem when two speed intervals for two keypoints appeared (instead of one interval). It was only visual bug in speed dialog window.

Paul, Thanks, very interesting AV show! I would like only say that on some images too large (3600x2200) and zooming will look better on more small images. Extrat large images on small values of Zoom parameter (100% for example) cause some kind of shimmering on sharp details of a picture. Also I found small visual bug in PTE when I explored speed settings of objects in your slide show. We'll fix it.

Steve, We discussed this problem and I'm sure that AuthoringWare company who licensed us burning library will ask you install latest firmware update for your DVD writer. Because as written above updated firmware includes: "DVD-RW Writability Improvement 2X DVD-R Writability Improvement DVD Playability Improvement". Maybe it contains other not announced improvements. It deserves to try it. Only if this update will not help, they will solve this problem. I bring my apologies for this problem.
-
I hope it is a final code of version 5.0 If there will be no bugs more, I only will add updated language files to final release.
-
Barry, Maybe it's a mistake with this CONS of PTE, I see exactly some phrase in CONS of Ulead DVD MovieFactory 6 Plus. However it's a minor problem
-
Steve, Excuse me, please, if my offer was incorrect, just I wanted to compensite your expenses on DVD medias because burning was not successful. We'll try to solve this problem. I'll write again to the company who licensed us burning library. Thank you for your patience and help.

Steve, It still can be hardware problem, I suppose other program can get it worked, but problem may exists. Currently we don't have other bug-reports on burning process from other members. I remember there were several complaints but only for particular cheap DVD media. If you agree I can make refund of your order for PicturesToExe to compensate wasted money on DVD medias. As alternate way please create ISO image and burn it on Nero or another burning program. On this support page on Pioneer: http://wwwbsc.pioneer.co.jp/product-e/ibs/...ev00001r_e.html I see update for your Pioneer DVR-106D drive. If it possible, please install it: http://wwwbsc.pioneer.co.jp/cgi-bin/www1/d...VRA06_FW108.EXE 1.08 Disc setup process Improvement 1.07 DVD-RW Writability Improvement 2X DVD-R Writability Improvement DVD Playability Improvement 1.06 4X DVD-R Writability Improvement 2X DVD-RW Writability Improvement Defect management(DRT-DM) Improvement +RW Readability Improvement If Pioneer says "Writability Improvement" probably it may help in this case.

Please anybody can send us this article? http://www.beckhamforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1217 -
Steve, As I've understood this problem (even now DVD writer not attached to Firewire) doesn't happens always, only rarely? Please try another RW discs, not Memorex. Probably we'll buy another burning library for the next version to get better result.

Patrick, PicturesToExe 1.0 was released in 1999 (8 years ago) and it was before wide spreading of digital photography. I remember as I scanned my 10x15 photos to make slide shows. And quality of many scanners also were not enough good. In earlier 2001 we added Fade in/out transition effect. It worked smoothly only on powerful PCs. In 2007 we added Pan/Zoom effects and only video cards released in 2002 and later capable to play ideally smooth these effects. We always balance on edge and create product for nearest future which appears when new technologies open new possibilities. I still consider that having "Hardware acceleration" disabled (and excluding some variations of Mosaic effect) v5.00 can operate better than v4.48 Also in v5.00 you can easily burn DVD-Video discs which play anywhere. However anybody welcome to compare and discuss v4.48 vs. v5.00 but please friendly and with arguments
-
Now instead zero time of a slide you should set "Stop at the end of this slide" option. I'll correct code and old v4.48 projects with zero time of slides will be converted to use this option on such slides.
