Al, Undo works for every changed digit in edit controls. About keypoints. It's not bug in PTE, but looks as bug When you dragged keypoint to moment when transition effect finished keypoint became locked to this moment ("+" symbol indicates this). So counting performs from this moment and you see 0 ms. in "Keypoint time". And typing 3000 ms. you see that keypoint located at 4000 ms. When you drag keypoint visually I lock up keypoint from beginning of a slide and counting performs from 0.

I'll fix problem that object outside timeline can be rotated/resized, but can't be moved in beta #2
-
Al, If it possible to save this project and after re-opening you can reproduce the problem again, please pack entire project or one slide and send to my email address please int_support@

Thanks, it's a bug and I'll fix it. Objects can't be continued to other slide(s). Only on their parent slide.

Al, We can add special option to "Customize slide" window which may override global settings of aspect ratio for such slides where you want to use another aspect ratio. Question about "Cover screen" option. What do you think if I will show warning message when you choose this mode in Project options:
-
I apologize that choice of aspect ratio and modes looks a little bit complicated on first look. We adopted this idea from DVD-Video, DVD players, and video projectors. There are two modes in Project options which describes how slide will be shown of a screen. "Fit to screen" always fit the slide (keeping choosed aspect ratio) on the screen, without cropping of parts of a slide. "Cover screen" - slide will be enlarged (also keeping aspect ratio) to cover all screen. Some parts of the slide will be invisible outside of the screen. Pan/Zoom effects definitely requires aspect ratio modes. Anyway we're trying to suggest optimal settings by default and no need to change them if you don't have time to learn all them. About "Cover screen" mode. Almost all DVD players or TV screens suggests this option for watching DVD disc. With this option wide picture of a movie will be enlarged to cover all TV screen. You can enabled this option in slide-shows in two ways: 1) Using command line - type for example: pteshow.exe -cover for my demo slide-show. 2) And second way globally for all displays enabling this option in Project options. I agree that this global option maybe dangerous without full explorering how it works. But for some authors this option can be usuful. Probably we have to explain in Project options how it exactly works? About confusion with four similar options "Fit to screen" and "Covert screen" in Project options and in "Objects and Animation" window. It's my mistake, although they are similar, but in Objects and Animation I will rename them to "Fit to slide" and "Cover slide".

Nice technique! We'll try to realize antialiasing (in v5.10 or earlier). Benefits of Rectangles that they don't take video memory and render with highest speed on the screen.

We keep and don't delete all messages. I have copy of old forum 2000-2002, but it's in Snitz 2000 format and no convertor to Invision Board format, it uses Windows technologies, we use Linux for forum hosting now.

I can't download your new work. Server reports me that it allows only 500 simultaneous connections for entire my country.

Another suggestion for Igor and the development crew
Igor replied to Lin Evans's topic in General Discussion
Yes, in beta #3 and very soon. Now Aleksey is finishing "battle" with DirectX API. Minimizing/restoring of window is fantastically difficult task in DirectX. -

Ready. -
No plans at this moment, because no benefits for slide-show. We need not to have memory usage more than 2 GB. 32-bit software works fine under Windows x64 if it doesn't contain dangerous optimizations/tricks.

Lin, I can just make possible adding of several new images. They will be inserted to slide or on a current *one* selected object. -

Lin, Do you speak about possibility to add several new images to current slide (using "Add image" -> open dialog)? If yes, with this possibility they will be inserted onto currently selected object? -
Please wait for the next beta #3 where I improved Visual editor with several new important options. Grid in Visual editor in my TODO list. I'll not promiss exactly when. We're finishing work with re-initialization of video card. DirectX is a very complex interface and even minimizing, restoring, or Alt-Tab during watching of slide-show require to fully re-initialize slide-show.

Jim, Please let me know URL of web site you have tried to open. And what security software you use which shows such warnings? Our main web site www.wnsoft.com doesn't have any active content, no scripts, no PHP, only static .html pages.

We're working on beta #3 now and also we're testing PicturesToExe 5 under Windows x64, Windows Vista and Windows Vista 64-bit. All is OK and work is successful.

Slide-shows created with final version of v5.00 will work in VirtualPC on the Mac. As another way - producing of DVD.

PTE 5.0 projects unload my monitor profile.
Igor replied to davidlshepp's topic in General Discussion
Thanks for testing! Ignore visual problems and with locks up - it was quickly written test. I think we'll try to use variant used in Gamma2 test for next beta #3. -
New Navigation bar is almost ready, but not implemented in slide-show engine yet.
-
For now there is only one possibility to utilize your powerful video card it is installing of Windows XP using Apple's BootCamp.
-
We'll fix it soon. Thanks.

PTE 5.0 projects unload my monitor profile.
Igor replied to davidlshepp's topic in General Discussion
We found solution for this problem, but we need to test it a little. http://www.wnsoft.com/test/Gamma.exe (150 KB) Please download this test, run it and after several seconds press Esc button. If colors will be OK, it's good. DirectX doesn't care about of gamma and it's not descibed in documentation... -

I'll try to reproduce this problem. I downloaded Monaco EzColor demo from Monaco System web site. 1) Please try these two additional test examples: http://www.wnsoft.com/test/GammaTest.exe (380 KB) and http://www.wnsoft.com/test/GammaTest2.exe (400 KB) 2) Also try to run some another DirectX game. It's necessary to run 3D game which works on fullscreen. (Not 2D game.) 3) Please run dxdiag utility. Start -> Run -> type dxdiag choose third tab ("Display") and click "Test Direct 3D" button. Perform several test which DirectX will suggests. Will color profile unloaded after this test? -
Nick, It's very wonderful that you found reason of the problem! I'm very grateful to you. Only one correction - Geforce 6200 This case is added to my database. I just thought that I missed to suggest test with playing of sample of HDTV video clip. I'm sure that Media Player could had exactly same problem.
