Thanks, you are right! It's so interesting, - right today I've finally found and fixed one visual bug when sometimes Preview is not shown when you click on a slide. I wasn't able to reproduce it again, but fixed exact reason of this problem. And with your help I now can be sure of that it's fixed and it's a same bug I'll upload updated beta very soon. Al, excuse me that I've missed your first message about this bug! Also couldn't you explain me more about "glitch that keeps occurring on the thumbnail view" problem you've mentioned above? Fred, thanks for finding this bug! I've also see this bug when try to rotate several pictures at a time. It will be fixed very soon! Concerning auto-rotate feature. I've tested how it works with Canon A80 digital camera. By default, the camera will not add record that photo should be rotated and I turned on this option manually in the menu of the digital camera. Al, there is no practical limitation for a count of slides in the thumbnails view. You can work with 10000...50000 slides and more. It required additional time to make it possible. This table view or thumbnails view is fully our own component, we didn't use any standard controls.

Yes, I remember about this important moment. Now I've completed almost all works on the new view and will return to this and another moments. I hope to realize it. Play button always starts playback from the beginning, but "Resume" (same button) after pause always works as you mentioned. Also Ctrl+R or Preview button in this Cust. synch. window will start slide-show from the selected transition points, as I again checked up this moment. Thank you for interesting suggestions! Currently we've already started works in this direction to realize really smooth Push, Slide, Pan and Zoom effects on various PCs. I consider these features as important. But please be patience. Especially the Zoom effect requires to solve a number of technical difficulties and limitations.

I've almost added for the next beta ability to easy rename the file. It will be fully ready in the next beta. And advanced sub-menu (as in Windows Explorer by right mouse click) for the file panel only. So in Windows 2000/XP you can choose "Open with..." function. p.s. there is one parameter in apr.ini file - GfxEditorPath= it should help you.

Portrait photos are smaller than landscape photos. Fade effect in PTE contains optimization and it processes only necessary parts of screen which should be changed. So it save CPU time and doesn't process alike background, for example. v4.30 beta has an additional optimizations for the Fade effect by default and it works in 2 times more smooth. You can turn on this optimization and in v4.20. Open apr.ini file and add the next string after word pte_SoundInitDir= opt_FastFade=1 Then run PTE again. You will need to rebuild old slide-shows if you want to have this more smooth Fade effect on.

What version of PicturesToExe you have? Please try with newest v4.30 beta #2

David, for example I work on my favorite Sony SDM-M51 LCD 15" and personally I prefer 15" displays (equivalent 17" CRT). Aleksey has 19" CRT, Pasha 18" LCD.

Yes, I'm working on this function to be able choose the templates' folder right now. When you choose another folder, PTE will copy (not move) current templates into new specified folder.

Yes, we plan Zoom, Pan and more smooth Push/Slide effect. It's a long work, but it will be added. I also very want to see Pan effect! About waveform. Please let me know what you would like to see improved or reworked concerning displaying of the waveform? Personally I like the current state when Cust. synch. window has its usual size. But I agree that it maybe better to lower the waveform (fully below all time-line) and increase height of the Cust. synch. window?

Ok, I'll work on these and another moments. Currently I've improved very many small moments for the next beta (very soon!). Michel found several visual bugs I've missed and beta #2 will work much better. Main part of the new thumbnails view is our common work of our all team. After this feature (already right now), we'll closely concentrate on new functions for the presentations. Multi-select for time-line is a long work and so not in this version. The copyright (or any) logo feature will be added in v4.30, too (it's a very easy to do feature). Thanks for your opinions about views. We also thought that probably it would be great to add schemas. It allows to save your favorites views with all parameters and quickly switch between them.
