Harold, I didn't change anything in the code of preparing slides, but I'll check up for this situation! Please let me know your CPU Mhz, version of Windows, screen resolution and typical graphical size of pictures. And as I understood some slides were skipped during playback of the show or is there a small delay (30.. 50 or 100 ms.) with show of a picture? Also please try out: 1) How your presentation works in the *Preview* mode (if you press "Preview" button in the main window). 2) When you run READY .exe file. 3) Third test, when presentation will be ran in the "Custmize synchronization" window by the "Play" button. (And you see changing of slides on the area of preview.) 4) And final test. Please convert your mp3 music file into simple uncompressed Wav file and temporary set up it instead of mp3 music. So it may shows possible delay in the synchronization, because playback of uncompressed WAV music takes in several times lesser CPU loading. Thanks for testing!

Yes, beta #6 is available! It adds OGG Vorbis support. Timing in v4.10 should works exactly as in v4.00. I've done many tests and checked up with my presentations. But I think it happened because there are too small intervals between slides in your presentation (some are only 200 ms., it's a 1/5 of second). New player takes a little more CPU resources under slow PCs to play mp3 files (10% under Celeron 400), but provides much better sound quality. However we're continue work on optimization of the playback!

Thanks for letting me know about this. I'll check up it tomorrow or on Monday! p.s. beta #6 is available with OGG Vorbis support: http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/apr_beta.zip

New music player uses external Micrsoft API to play WMA files. So I don't know really. With beta #5 you can try it out. p.s. also OGG Vorbis support can be added to v4.10 (And WMA and OGG support realized as an options - presentation will not contains additional code if these formats are not used).
-
"Run application at the end of presentation" option will be added in the coming betas, of course!
-
I all time keep this suggestion in the mind. But new music player required so many time and work and I'd like to concentrate to make it without bugs. I can promiss that it will be the next step in development of PTE. New music player is written to realize this feature as well, and as future support of the OGG Vorbis, for example.

PicturesToExe v4.10 beta #5 is released http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/apr_beta.zip (1,3 Mb) What's new in this beta: * Realized support of WMA music files in the new music player of v4.10
-
We've fully realized and support of WMA music files in the new music player of v4.10. In beta #5 soon.
-
By the way, newest v4.10 beta #4 doesn't require DirectX or Media Player more. So it gives much stability on various configurations... after we will have tested it enough with beta versions
-
We're glad to say that WnSoft's Web site is fully working now!
-
Please let me know your PicturesToExe's version. Is it happened in a produced presentation or in PTE? Please describe how to call this error and can you reproduce it?
-
We're updating our web site now. New DNS records may take some time. Please wait.

Please try newest beta #4 http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums//index...ct=ST&f=2&t=852 I'm sorry for this unpleasant bug with hang-ups in beta #3. It occured when we've changed a core of the music player to it can workable under WinNT 4.0. Now this bug is fixed and beta #4 should works fine.

PicturesToExe v4.10 beta #4 is released http://www.picturestoexe.com/apr_beta.zip What's new in this beta: * Presentations always hanged up with previous beta #3. This bug is fixed now! p.s. please try this beta.
-
Yes, we're all evening working to fix this bug. It occurs only with newest beta #3. No problem with beta #2. Of course, it will be fixed soon! I apologize for this hard beta testing!
-
To Limey Thank you for letting me know about this problem! We quickly fix. I just sent you email to learn more about details - how to recreate that situation.
-
Please don't worry! Our web hoster is changing the server. It will be ready in 24-36 hours. We're already uploading files of our web site into new server. But updating of DNS takes these 24-36 hours. By the way, as you can see the forum works fine, because it uses special hosting with own domain name.

I just uploaded improved beta #3 which fixes all those problems. Please visit http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums//index...ct=ST&f=2&t=842

PicturesToExe v4.10 beta #3 http://www.picturestoexe.com/apr_beta.zip What's new in this beta: * Fixed minor bug of beta #1/2 when new button to choose application in the "Customize slide window" didn't work. * Fixed very old bug when you copy slide it didn't remember color of text comment in the personalized slides * Fixed two bugs of previous v4.10 beta #1 and beta #2. New music player didn't work under Windows NT 4.0 and it had a problem with playing of MIDI under Windows 95. Both problems are fully fixed now. p.s. please let us know how new beta works.
-
Thank you all for testing! think(box) I've fixed that old bug when color of a text comment in personalized slide was not copied. RNB I just sent you email. I hope that we quickly fix that problem with MIDI playing. About spinning of CD disk in a CD-ROM drive. Yes, because presentation reads music continuously directly from CD disk to don't create temp files on the HDD drive. But it's not a problem, we can create special option to copy all resouceres to the temp folder (as one file!) and CD-ROM will not be used at all. p.s. by the way, now in v4.10 any presentation starts immediately and there are no glitches even during direct playing from CD-ROM drive.

I just prepared and uploaded corrected beta #2 http://www.picturestoexe.com/apr_beta.zip * Fixed bug of beta #1 when button to choose background color didn't work. * Fixed very old memory leak. Presentation might fall with "Out of system resources" message under Windows 9x, if many slides contained large objects (pictures or transparent buttons). To Adda To think(box) These two bugs are fixed now. Thank you for the help! To Mike Oh, excuse me for this skipped place! In the beta #3. p.s. also we're working on WMA support and got working code with the new music player. So it could be added even in v4.10
-
Please try to with v4.10 beta. I hope that it will solve that problem with music playing!

"This problem may occurs under Windows 98, because you've used too large pictures (1600x1200). This is unpleasant limitation of Windows 9x. No problem for Windows NT, 2000 or XP. But I'll think how to optimize work with such large pictures under Win9x." I was not right, - that is our bug. So using of 1600x1200 pictures shouldn't case any problem! It happened because a great number of slides contained huge pictures-objects (in 1600x1200). Thank you, Bill, for the example of presentation you've sent me. I'll fix it tomorrow. In current versions of PTE large pictures 1600x1200 as main picture of slide *will not* case "Out of system resource" message. Only if slide contains object (picture with 1600x1200 points) and presentation has 20..40 such slides.

v4.10 beta #1 is available now See http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums//index...ct=ST&f=2&t=828 Also there is no problem even if presentation has 2, or 10, or 100 music files in various formats (MP3s, MIDIs or WAVs).
