Share Screen in zoom. Improved smoothness and sound
Igor replied to Igor's topic in Equipment & Software
Hi Jill, Thanks for your commentary and experience! Yes, your task is more complex with different shows and menu and proposed suggestion probably doesn't fit. -
Hi, You can try a new Beta of PTE AV Studio 10.5.5: Download: For Windows: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/pteavstudio-setup.exe For Mac: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/PTE-AV-Studio.dmg PTE AV Player for Mac: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/PTE-AV-Player.dmg What's New: Fixed problem import/export of slide styles which contain a comma in a style name. Fixed problem with high memory usage in the editor of a custom transition when a slide buffer is used multiple times. Fixed problem with the “Go to slide…” command when using a slide name set by default (a main image name). Fixed problem with freezing during video encoding when embedded video clip has a very short duration (about 1 ms). Added compatibility with a notch at the top of the display in the new Macbook Pro 14” and 16” when you play a show at full screen. Or when you work in full screen in PTE AV Studio. P.S. If you purchase a new Macbook Pro 14" or 16" with M1 Pro / Max chip, please try this new version and let us know how it looks with a notch on the screen.

Gary, Honestly, we didn't plan a batch converter at all. It was designed to convert a single video file. Multiple video file cause many questions and problems. Different resolutions and aspect ratio, Trim feature may work incorrectly. In fact, it's not ready for version 10.5. Probably it can be improved in future version.

Hi, I found 2 recent options in Zoom app which greatly improve visual quality and sound in Screen Sharing when you demonstrate PTE AV Studio shows or other videos. 1. You can enable Stereo (High-fidelity) option for Screen Share. See the attached screenshot below. I tried this option yesterday and it greatly improves sound quality and increases audible range for other participants. I think it's very important for AV users. 2. Zoom now includes a built-in video player for MP4 or MOV video files (H.264 format). It's located in the Advanced tab of Share Screen window. See the screenshot below. I noticed that smoothness of video clip was much better and I could observe less artefacts on a picture. More info You can also enable "Optimize for video clip" option. It improves smoothness (frame rate) for dynamic scenes in a video. The only side effect of this option, it reduces resolution of video - 1280 x 720. This option also works with external video players, but earlier participants could observe black rectangles on the screen due to notification windows when a video is captured from the screen. With a built-in zoom video player this option now works flawless. So I recommend to set "Optimize for video clip" for a video with dynamic scenes. You'll get 1280 x 720 at 30p. And untick this option if you demonstrate an AV with still images and slow dissolving transitions, you'll get 1920 x 1080 at 30p. Using a built-in zoom video player will require to create your AV show as a MP4 video. I recommend 1920 x 1080, High quality, 30p for zoom. Because zoom can't effectivelyplay 60p videos. Consider use of Motion Blur option in MP4 video output for 30p video to improve smoothness even for 30p videos. P.S. Make sure that you updated Zoom app to the latest version, at least version 5.5.

Hi Gary, I'll reply tomorrow. Sorry for the delay.

Tom, you're right. With H.264 format we use the most optimal settings, especially in PTE AV Studio 10.0+ H.264 is very flexible codec and has many hidden options to reach smaller file size with the same quality. Encoding to HEVC format works in 3 times slower, video playback on relatively old graphics card utilizes 70..100% of CPU that causes a high power consumption and noise from the cooling fan.

Hi Mike, PTE AV Studio 10 and 10.5 create only 64-bit executable shows for Windows 7/8/10/11. Windows XP (it's 32-bit OS) is not supported anymore. Consider two solutions for an old computer: A. Create a MP4 video file with HD or 4K quality. (Recommended) B. Or install an old version 9.0.22: https://files.wnsoft.com/picturestoexe/previous-versions/picturestoexe-setup-9022.exe Activate it with your existing license key (10.x). When you install this version, untick an option "Associate with .pte project files" to keep project files associated with the latest version 10.5. Open your project in v9.0.22 and build an EXE file for an old PC with Windows XP.

Hi, Apple has announced new Macbook Pro 14" and 16" with new Apple silicon (M1 Pro and M1 Max). These CPUs in 2x and 4x faster than previous M1 for graphics calculations and rendering. So the new Macbook Pro 14" and 16" should be very good for PTE AV Studio 10.5 Pro for any complex projects and heavy effects. Let remind that PTE AV Studio is already optimized for Apple silicon CPU (M1 / Pro / Max) and works with the best performance and effeciency.

Hi, Glad that you solved that problem! If it will happen again, please let us know.

Hi, We firmly added this feature for PTE 11 - export of all or selected slide(s) to JPEG or PNG image(s). With a possibility of a transparent background for a PNG format. Any custom pixel size of a slide. Of course, both versions - Windows and Mac.

Lightened vignette on images that are PTE blurred
Igor replied to Delicate's topic in General Discussion
We plan to improve the Blur effect in future version 11.0 to avoid edge issue. Also probably we'll add more options/variants for the Blur. We're experimenting right now. -
No problem, you can activate one license on any 2 computers which belong you. Just if you want to use 3rd computer, firstly uninstall PTE AV Studio from any of two old computers and then activate the license key on a new computer to keep 2 computers with one activated license at the same time.

Darryll, We fixed this problem. Please try the new version 10.5.5 Beta: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/pteavstudio-setup.exe

Darryll, Thanks for the test project and waiting. I also see this problem with "Go to slide..." command. We'll check the code and I'll write you later.

Please delete received spam message and don't follow any links from that message. That's all.

Those spammers could send only PM messages throught the forum server. They don't know real email addresses of recepients. The forum and its database were not hacked. These spammers have abused the possibility to send personal messages to other members through the forum. Now new member cannot use the messanger during some time and a number of sent messages during a day will be restricted for all members (probably 10 should be enough?).

Hi, PTE AV Studio 10.5 is compatible with Windows 11. Firstly uninstall PTE AV Studio from the old computer which you don't plan to use, before install PTE AV Studio on a new computer with Windows 11.
-
Mark, Do you mean this forum, or Facebook? UPD. I thought that your posted about the same problem which we had on this forum a couple hours ago and I combined both topics.
-
Hi, We apologize for this problem! There were 2 new spammers who joined 2 hours ago: "barbara2" and "alina". They used the forum messenger to send about 180 spam messages to other members. They didn't get access to your email addresses. I banned these users and we'll disable the messenger for new members to avoid this situation in future.

You can Clone Keyframe for the 1st keyframe and all checkboxes will be ticked. When you Add Keyframe and adjust with a mouse cursor a position, size or angle, PTE automatically set ticked this group of parameters for this keyframe. Checkboxes for animation parameters are VERY important. When you construct a complex animation, you set only desired options and it should help when you change animation parameters for existing objects.

PTE AV Studio 10.5.4 and Panasonic TX-55GZ1000 [SOLVED]
Igor replied to Dominique's topic in Troubleshooting
I'm glad that it works! I recommend to use NVIDIA encoder only to render a draft video. Your CPU is very fast and it surpasses NVIDIA encoder. Probably we'll add this advice/hint to the interface in future version. -

Untick "Hardware acceleration" option and encode a new 4K video. It should help, I think. -

Dominique, Thanks for testing. Can you attach a screenshot with your video options before you start encoding? -
PTE AV Studio 10.5.4 and Panasonic TX-55GZ1000 [SOLVED]
Igor replied to Dominique's topic in Troubleshooting
Hi, I created several test 4K videos in PTE AV Studio and one 4K video in Handbrake video converter. Try these files on your 4K TV: https://www.icloud.com/iclouddrive/0quDPIrdd-zI6iNqeZsflQgvQ#4KTest Let me know about a result. -
Hi, Thanks for the new details. I'm glad that it was resolved. We'll think about a new description for the Publish menu.
