Daniel, Did you work with one instance of PTE AV Studio? We need a step by step instruction how to reproduce this problem from a scratch. As simple as possible. It seems that some audio files were locked and PTE AV Studio couldn't load them when you switch a project. Usually a possibility to recover missing files is required when project is opened. We didn't want to complicate the app with a special rare case when project files are being deleted at a moment when a project is already opened.

Daniel, Regrettably we never face with this problem. I can only recommend to uinstall PTE AV Studio, restart Windows, and reinstall PTE AV Studio again. Also you can try to set file association with PTE AV Studio manually using Open With command and browse PTE app manually from Program Files.

Hi, The project attached above is empty - no slides, no audio clips. I noticed that it was saved in the old version 9.0.x. We don't support this version anymore, because version 9 was introduced almost 5 years ago. Sorry. Only critical bugs will be fixed. New versions 10.0 and 10.5 include improved video and audio decoders and better compatibility with a wide range video and audio formats. I recommend to upgrade to version 10.5. This version also includes many other improvements and new features. You can enable Light theme if you prefer classical design.

Hi, Make sure that you use the latest official version 10.5.5. Try to re-create this problem in a small test project - several images and this audio file. Then please send us this project - all files in a ZIP archive. Use a command Create backup in a ZIP from the main menu > File menu. Upload to iCloud, Google Drive, or WeTransfer.com and send me a download link here or in a personal message.

Thanks for the audio file (01 Babysitter-Boogie.m4a). Regrettably I couldn't reproduce that problem. I started a new simple project - 5 images and this audio file. No problem with MP4 video output (Windows 10).

Try to copy one project from these transfered templates into a new folder and open this project as usual project (not as a template). I meant copy within Mac to Mac. Also try to pack to a ZIP archive a project and then unpack and open in PTE. P.S. I forgot to ask - did you open that project from a local Mac drive, or from network storage?

Does this problem (delay) occur in other projects or in a certain project only? Try to create a new simple test project with 10 images and one MP3 audio file. Do you observe the same delay? Also try to restart macOS, if the problem (delay) occurs in all projects.

Hi Denis, This problem might occur with Windows XP and Vista. And probably earlier builds of Windows 7. And only with buit-in ZIP unpacker. There is no problem with later Windows 7 updates, also Windows 8, 10 and 11, and Mac can unpack ZIP archives with non-Latin symbols. Also external ZIP unpackers don't have this problem many years. So we removed that warning since version 10.0.

Hi, I understand that this point is important for you. I can't promiss firmly, probably we will able to improve a transition to a new launched show in future version. You wrote about this issue after 2 years since a release of version 10.0 where this behaviour appeared first time. Did you notice it first time? I don't remember other reports on this subject earlier.

Hi Ken, A project may has only blank slides (with text objects and rectangles) without any images. It should work fine. And I frequently created such projects for testing purposes. If you think that you discovered a problem, please send us a sample project for testing.
