Bernard, Thanks, I confirm this issue. We'll fix it.
-
Glad that you found a solution. In the Project Options > Screen tab > change Full screen mode to Windowed mode. Or before call a video from a show double click on a window - it switches between a full screen and windowed mode in any show on Mac.

Tom, Technically, it's possible, but may require a special command, because existing users may expect opening a current video player associated with a video file. Anyway, the good idea.

Custom Slide Styles and Transitions Location Change [SOLVED]
Igor replied to Stuart175's topic in Troubleshooting
Stuart, I'm glad that now it works rightly. We'll check again moving of the storage. It's not your mistake. -
Bernard, Thanks for the details. How usually you type ï in "maïs" with French keyboard on Mac?

Hi, See my reply here: https://www.pteavstudio.com/forums/topic/25116-menus-on-macs/?do=findComment&comment=155882

Regrettably it's a behaviour of macOS. When you run another app (or open a video) from a fullscreen app, this original app will be minimized when launched app finishes its work and macOS will return to the desktop. The same happens even in Finder. Enable a fullscreen view in Finder and double click on a video file to open VLC or QuickTime. When video finishes and you close the player, macOS will return you to the desktop and Finder will stay minimized. Two workarounds: 1. Wrap a video clip to a second show (.pteav file) and use "Run Slideshow with Return" command to run it. Run Slideshow with Return command guarantees that a launched show will return to the menu show at the end. 2. Or switch the show to a windowed mode. In a windowed mode, the menu show will stay active when a launched app (video) closes.

Hi Bernard, I cannot reproduce this issue on my Mac with a virtual French keyboard. I tried to type text accented characters and they look as in TextEdit app. Please make sure that you use the latest version 10.5.1 in the About window. Did you mean a preview of a Text object, or the text box in the Objects and animation editor, in Properties tab? Can you give me two simple examples of keys which I should press to see this problem. Expected result, and wrong result.

Custom Slide Styles and Transitions Location Change [SOLVED]
Igor replied to Stuart175's topic in Troubleshooting
Stuart, A storage of styles/transitions in Application Support has a special complex structure. Consider this storage as "a black box" which just works Users should work only with Styles and Themes window and import/export commands are available. If you manually create a backup of PTEAVStudio folder in Application Support, you can always revert any changes with settings or styles of PTE AV Studio on Mac. P.S. We'll check moving of the storage to another folder to make sure that it works correctly on Mac. -
Custom Slide Styles and Transitions Location Change [SOLVED]
Igor replied to Stuart175's topic in Troubleshooting
Stuart, Application Support > Styles and Transitions folder is fully served by PTE AV Studio. All exported styles should be saved to another folder (in Documents, for example). Can you try to create a new test style with a simple name like Style1 to check if it appears in the list of the styles. -
Yes, we'll try Windows 11 as soon it becomes officially available for developers.

Custom Slide Styles and Transitions Location Change [SOLVED]
Igor replied to Stuart175's topic in Troubleshooting
Stuart, If you delete apr.ini file (settings of PTE AV Studio), PTE will create automatically a new empty folder "Styles and Transitions" in Application Support > PTEAVStudio Then you can replace this empty folder with your earlier moved folder "Styles and Transitions". Or you can keep things as is. I recommend to make a backup of this folder anyway. -
Custom Slide Styles and Transitions Location Change [SOLVED]
Igor replied to Stuart175's topic in Troubleshooting
Hi Stuart, Try the following. 1. Close PTE AV Studio, make sure it's not launched in the Dock. 2. Find "Application Support" folder on your Mac. It is shown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a10BiE9t7RY Instead of "peterjoh" folder it will be your Mac name folder. Then browse Application Support > PTEAVStudio > Versions > 10.5 Delete apr.ini fle. It's settings (layouts and some settings of PTE AV Studio). Now if you run PTE AV Studio, a location of Styles and Transitions will be by default, and no custom styles. 3. A default location of styles is located here: Application Support > PTEAVStudio > Styles and Transitions If you have a backup of your original folder with styles, replace this default folder with your saved folder. P.S. We'll check moving of a location of styles and transitions folder to see how it works on Mac. -
Hi, Today we installed a new macOS 12 Monterey Beta 1 on our Mac Mini with M1 chip. PTE AV Studio 10.5 works fine on Monterey. No problems. Fast and smooth. PTE AV Studio already has a native support for Apple M1 chip with the best performance. A final version of macOS 12 Monterey should be ready around October this year for all Mac users.

Hi, You need to install the latest update - 9.0.22 from WnSoft website > Download > Previous versions page.
-
Hi Bill, We’re glad to see you again, thanks for waiting the Mac version of PTE!
-
Hi William, I'm very glad! Thanks for your feedback. Igor P.S. PTE AV Studio already has a native support for Apple M1 chip and the best performance on new M1 Macs.

Hi, Version 10.5 is a free update for all users who have version 10.0.xx. Just download and install the new version from WnSoft website. If you have Auto Update notifications, PTE AV Studio 10.0.14 should show you a message about the new version 10.5 and Mac version. Version 10.5 contains more changes and improvements than usual minor update, so we decided not to offer it through the Auto Update installation. Just install it manually.

Thank, Paul! Looks great. May I suggest to re-upload the style in a ZIP archive? By default, Windows and Mac cannot unpack RAR archives.

iPhone, other smartphones and some traditional cameras add a special meta-tag about an angle of rotation (position). PTE AV Studio 10+ reads this tag and rotates a video clip automatically to show it correctly.
-
Denis, Thanks, we'll check again.
-
PTE 10 automatically recognizes portrait videos and automatically rotates it and shows correctly. I recorded several test videos with my iPhone at different rotate position and all videos were shows correctly. You can always rotate video manually in the Objects and animation editor. Probably in future versions we'll add a quick access to rotation for a video clip.

Yes, you're right. "Pause when slideshow window becomes inactive" option is enabled by default for all projects, so it will work acording description in this case. I will ask to add a small correction for the Online help.

Hi, Try a new PTE AV Studio 10.5.2 Beta: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/pteavstudio-setup.exe This version adds support for variants of fonts installed in Windows. Earlier some fonts in a font family were not available in PTE AV Studio. Fixed problem with cloning a custom transition immediately after importing. Let me know about results of testing.
