You can try a new test version for Mac: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/PTE-AV-Studio.dmg Now Option+G inserts a copyright symbol for a Text object. This version will be published officially later.
-
Hi, Thanks for letting us know about this issue. In the next update (10.5.2) Option + G will insert a copyright symbol. Use a temporary solution as suggested above.

Thanks, we'll check again next week.

Phil, Try the following. 1. Restart macOS. 2. Find "Application Support" folder on your Mac. It is shown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a10BiE9t7RY Instead of "peterjoh" folder it will be your Mac name folder. 3. Then in Application Support > PTEAVStudio > Versions > 10.5. Delete "10.5" folder. 4. Try to run PTE AV Studio again.
-
Hi Phil, 1. Tell me about a configuration and name of your Mac. 2. Do I understand rightly that you successfully used first Mac version 10.5 and the problem occured with 10.5.1? 3. Can you try to run a sample show on your Mac? Download and install PTE AV Player: https://www.wnsoft.com/en/pte-av-studio/pte-av-player/ Download a sample show in .pteav file: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/shows/Sample-Project-Win10-5.pteav Then run PTE AV Player, you should see an Open file window. Choose Sample-Project-Win10-5.pteav file to open an run the show. Will it work?

Hi, Restart your Mac. Remove PTE AV Studio and reinstall from DMG image again, copy PTE AV Studio icon to Applications. 2. If it doesn't help, try to unmount all external drives (network drives) to see if it helps to run PTE AV Studio. Let me know about results.

Problem playing a published sequence on Mac [SOLVED]
Igor replied to Joan's topic in Troubleshooting
Hi Clive, Do you have a final version of PTE AV Player for Mac? Download and install the latest version: https://www.wnsoft.com/en/pte-av-studio/pte-av-player/ Then run the Player manually from Applications. It will associate the Player with .pteav shows. Or you can try to run PTE AV Player from Applications, and when the Open file window appears, choose your show. -
I compared both versions 10.0.14 and 10.5.1 and hear no difference with my simple project based on your WAV audio. I click Preview button to play the show from beginning. Do you observe this problem if encode a MP4 video? In both versions. Probably other members can check this project?
-
Thanks, I created a simple test project with your WAV file. And I don't see/hear any problem in PTE 10.5.1 Synchronization is perfect in a preview / EXE. testWAV_Apr29-2021_15-53-44.zip

You can send us a sample WAV file for checking.

Keyframe Moved when Style Style Applied in a certain way [SOLVED]
Igor replied to Barry Beckham's topic in Troubleshooting
I found this style on Barry's forum here. This style doesn't use "Scale key frames..." mode. Please create as possible simpliest style with ticked option "Scale..." and send me it. We'll check it. -
Keyframe Moved when Style Style Applied in a certain way [SOLVED]
Igor replied to Barry Beckham's topic in Troubleshooting
Barry, Since version 8.0 we introduced scalable key frames enabled by default for all new projects and slides. In the Slide Options you can see an option "Scale key frames in objects (on time change)" option (enabled by default). Some users prefer an old conception of key frames with absolute time positions and possibility to link key frames at the end of current transition and beginning of next transition. And also beginning/ending of a slide. When a key frame as placed at one these 4 points you may see plus (+) sign in the timeline. For compatibility, we add an option "Scale key frames in objects (on time change)" which can be turned off. However we highly recommended to use "Scale key frames..." mode for slides intended for a slide style. It was hard to support both conception of keyframes and provide a support for all possible combinations, especially in slide styles. This style "4 Image and text option" does NOT use "Scale key frames..." mode and when you apply it for your slides, PTE unticks "Scale key frames..." option for the applied slide in your project. I recommend to modify and recreate this style and use "Scale key frames..." mode in its slide. We'll check the code, but I'm not sure that it will be easy to fix it. -
Hi, Do you use MP3 music, or M4A / OGG / WMA / FLAC ? The new version 10.5 correctly shows waveforms and perform audio synchronization for M4A / OGG / WMA / FLAC files. Earlier version 10.0.x skipped first 50 ms of an audio file. In v10.5 PTE plays an audio file from very beginning. Although 50 ms is not a large delay that hard to hear. For projects saved in earlier version 10.0.x you need to correct keypoints manually in the Timeline view. If you used only MP3/WAV files, there should be no difference between v10.0.14 and 10.5. Also you can clear the cache of audio waveforms, by deleting this folder: C:\Users\YouComputerName\AppData\Local\WnSoft-WaveCache

The most likely, those old EXE files were damaged. So Windows can't recognize a valid EXE file. If those shows are important for you, I can tell you about a workaround to run them (if resources in an EXE file were not damaged too).

Hi, Regrettably we couldn't get to work audio in some WMV videos. I recommend you to convert such videos to a MP4 in Handbrake - a free opensource video converter: https://handbrake.fr/ Another benefit of a MP4 format - you'll get a hardware acceleration for a video playback in PTE, that greatly reduces CPU loading.

I created 3 single EXE shows in versions 8.0, 9.0, and 10.5: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/tmp/TestShows.zip Please download and try to run them on your computer. Try with "More" link. Also I created a safe EXE show in v10.5 (launcher and data file in a ZIP archive): https://files.wnsoft.com/test/tmp/SafeEXEShow10.5.zip

PTE AV Studio 10 crashes at launch WIN 10 [SOLVED]
Igor replied to Shakes's topic in Troubleshooting
I'm glad! Thanks for the confirmation. -
Hi, Yes, at certain sharp angles anti aliasing is not active. In PTE we always used special algorithms for edge antialiasing for objects to reduce GPU loading. Antialiasing in PTE works this way last 10-12 years. We don't use antialiasing option offered by a graphics card, because it will slow down rendering on slow/old computers, or at 4K screen resolution. If you open your project in the old version 9.0 and compare with 10.x, you will discover that antialiasing was improved in the recent versions 10.x and stay active at more sharp angles, than in version 9.0.

PTE AV Studio 10 crashes at launch WIN 10 [SOLVED]
Igor replied to Shakes's topic in Troubleshooting
Hi Paul, I recommend to download and install the latest free update 10.5.1: https://www.wnsoft.com/en/pte-av-studio/download/ Perform a new installation and skip import of settings from old versions of PicturesToExe. If that problem still occur, tell me about a configuration of your computer - CPU and graphics card. Update drivers for your graphics card, manually or through the Windows Update. Old version 8.0 is compatible with Windows 10. -
PTE AV Studio 10.5.1 is available for PC and Mac Download: https://www.wnsoft.com/pte-av-studio/download/ Or use Auto Update feature: Main menu > Help > Check for Free Updates. Added Hardware acceleration option for MP4 video encoding on Macs with M1 chip. Added Hungarian language for the interface. New shortcuts (Control+F11/F12) to go next/praevious slide in the Objects animation editor (Mac only). Fixed issue with Convert/Trim Video windows opened from a full screen view of the File List. Fixed problem with crashing the Objects and animation editor if a preview area has zero size after resizing of the Timeline panel.
