We just finished a native code of PTE AV Studio for future Macs with Apple Silicon CPU. Encoding of 1080p MP4 video using CPU works much faster on Mac with Apple Silicon than my Windows based PC with Intel Core i5-7400 3.0 GHz. Much faster than my iMac with Intel CPU. New Apple's CPU is an absolute winner in speed. No noise and cool. Amazing results. And it's only A12Z CPU, new official Apple Silicon for Macbook and iMac should be even better.

Hi, PTE AV Studio works on any Mac 2012 Late or newer. If you want to reach ideal smoothness in a fullscreen preview (and executable shows) for heavy animations with complex effects, we would recommend the following Macs: Best Macs for PTE AV Studio - Mac Mini (2020), Macbook Air (2020) and Macbook Pro 13 (2020) with Apple M1 chip. - Macbook Pro 15" or 16" 2015 or newer. - iMac 21.5" 4K Retina Middle 2017 or newer - iMac 27" 5K Retina Late 2015 or newer - iMac Pro 27" Retina - New Mac Pro All these Macs use fast AMD graphics which is very good for PTE AV Studio. Regarding Macs with Intel graphics Mac Mini, Macbook Air and Macbook Pro 13" use integrated Intel graphics which not so fast. However the interface of PTE AV Studio works fast and smooth on any Mac. If you create a MP4 video, all compatible Macs are fine for PTE AV Studio. Because your show created as a MP4 video will play smooth on any Mac. New Macs with Apple M1 chip In June 2020 Apple has announced a move to own CPU (Apple Silicon) based on ARM technology during next 2 years. In November 2020 Apple introduced first Macs with M1 chip: Mac Mini, Macbook Air and Macbook Pro 13. PTE AV Studio for Mac is fully adapted for M1 chip to work with the best peformance.

Hello, We didn't change anything in Video Builder for DVD creation several years. This output option was kept for compatibility for users of previous versions who still need to burn DVD video. Try again with another project, and with another DVD player.

Gary, You cannot overwrite the same file. If you open and convert filename.converted.mp4 file, a destination file should use another filename.

Patrick, Thanks for your patience. I'm glad that you finally received our message with your license key. I've checked mail logs of our server, it seems to be a new problem with sending to Orange.fr mail server. I just sent a complaint to Orange regarding this problem and awaiting their reply. Gmail addresses are OK.

Hi, This improvement can be added in future version 11.0. Currently we support 14 IPTC tags in JPEG images and 4 EXIF tags. Tell me what additional IPTC codes you'd like to see in PTE AV Studio.

We'll publish 10.5 Beta soon. Also this version will able to open .pte projects saved in Mac version. 10.5 is a minor update.

We fixed this issue in future update 10.5 (together with future Mac version).

Dave, If you begin a new (empty) project and don't save it, it will be opened on next start of PTE AV Studio. Reasonable?

Hi Bob, Sorry, I'm not sure that understood rightly this problem. What version of PTE AV Studio you used before recent update? Can you record a screen video to show this problem? You can use any screen recorder or your camera. Upload video to Youtube or WeTransfer.com and send us a download link. Or make a series of screenshots step by step to see this problem. Dave, That is correct. PTE always worked this way.

Brad, Thanks for letting us know. We recommend to use a local folder for slide styles and transitions to avoid unexpected problems with PTE AV Studio due to locked or partially synchronized files.

Tom, Thanks, According the latest rumors, hardware acceleration for AV1 video codec will be available for new graphics cards released this autumn: AMD Radeon 6000 series, NVIDIA Geforce RTX 30x0, Intel Xe graphics. We also plan to add hardware acceleration for AV1 in future version of PTE 11.0. I'll purchase NVIDIA Geforce 3060 for testing once it become available.

Yes, I see this problem with this project in v10.0.13. Can you reproduce it from a scratch? I started a new project and applied the same transition "Page" with a diagal direction. It was.

Malcolm, Download and install the updated version 10.0.13 manually: https://www.wnsoft.com/en/pte-av-studio/download/ In version 10.0.6 there was a mistake with Auto Update function. So it should be update manually once. Try to create single EXE shows in version 10.0.13 and let me know about a result. If it still doesn't work, start a new simple test project with several photos and try to create an EXE file. Choose a simple file name (say MyShow.exe ) and try different folders (Documents, Downloads, your folders).

Dave, Probably there audio files still locked by audio editor? Try to restart Windows. Manually clear the audio cache folder again. Then run PTE AV Studio. It should help.

Hi David, We'll add a command to clear audio cache in future version. Usually this problem occurs very rarely. Right now you can manually clear this cache by deleting "WnSoft-WaveCache" folder on your computer: C:\Users\YourComputerName\AppData\Local\WnSoft-WaveCache Note, that "AppData" is a hidden folder. Don't forget to close PTE AV Studio before deleting this folder.
