AV Studio 10.0.1 and 10.0.2 freeze on project options [SOLVED]
Igor replied to Roel's topic in Troubleshooting
Roel, Try to run PTE on Intel integrated graphics. Click right mouse button on a PTE shortcut and find a command associated with Intel graphics. If you have any previous version, the new version always suggest import settings from previous versions on first run. -

PTE executable published for Mac won't open on Mac [SOLVED]
Igor replied to jmdanz's topic in Troubleshooting
Mike, My mistake. Shows created in version 8.0.23 or earlier don't have a digitial signature and warning will appear (in macOS High Sierra or newer) every time when you run a show. Since version 9.0 we added a verified by Apple digital signature and that warning doesn't appear. Here is a sample show created in v9.0.22: https://files.wnsoft.com//test/mac/pte9022_mac.zip Shows created in future version 10.0 for Mac also will include this signature to run without a warning. Please consider an alternate solution. Create your shows in a MP4 format with HD or 4K quality. It will guarantee that shows will always play on any Mac, or PC, or TV. Even with a digitial signature there is a chance that Apple may break compatibility with old executable shows in future macOS updates. I see that you have a license for PTE 8. If you upgrade to PTE AV Studio 10 Pro now, you can use the same license key for PTE 9.0.22 to create executable shows for Mac with a digital signature (up to macOS 10.14 Mojave). Later during this year we'll introduce a Mac version of PTE 10 which will be free for all customers who purchased a license for PTE AV Studio 10 Pro. This version will create shows for macOS Catalina (10.11 - 10.15+). -
Hi, Let me know - what version of Windows you have and name of your graphics card.

PTE executable published for Mac won't open on Mac [SOLVED]
Igor replied to jmdanz's topic in Troubleshooting
Mike, Executable shows should be created in version 8.0.23 or newer. If older version, for example PTE 8.0.20, was used, it means that created executable show will not work on macOS High Sierra or later. And as I wrote above, macOS Catalina doesn't play any executable shows created in any version of PTE. -
Try to restart Windows.

PTE executable published for Mac won't open on Mac [SOLVED]
Igor replied to jmdanz's topic in Troubleshooting
Hi Mike, Please read first message here: https://www.pteavstudio.com/forums/topic/19917-solution-for-non-working-slideshows-on-macos-sierra-10122/ The suggested solution for PTE 8 should help with macOS 10.14 Mojave or earlier. Note, that macOS Catalina 10.15 doesn't run any executable shows, because they're 32-bit apps. Catalina supports only 64-bit apps. Alternate solution: if you have a source files of your projects, create a MP4 video with HD or 4K quality at 60p. Video files always will work with any future version of macOS. Also we're finishing work on Mac version of PTE 10. The new version will work with macOS 10.11+ or newer, including Catalina. A public Beta version should be available by end of this summer. -
Hi, Please let me know, when you sent us messages through the Contact Us form? I found your 3 messages from January 15 and 17 and our replies to you. All our team are working from home. We reply on all questions from customers every day. Also we're already working on future version of PTE AV Studio. Also now we're finishing a Mac version of PTE AV Studio 10 Pro now. When you purchase a new license for PTE AV Studio, our billing system automatically sends a customer his license key. Usually it takes several minutes, in some cases several hours.

Hi, We have a great progress with Mac version past 6 weeks. Today I've built the first installation package (DMG) with PTE which passed all Apple's checkings for distribution of the app through our website. It means that the main code of PTE is ready. I expect a public Beta version this July or August. Now we're fixing last known problems. PTE for Mac will require macOS 10.11 El Capitan or newer.

Dom, Glad that it works for you now! I hope to see new custom transitions It's not bug, a storage is different for a single transition and multiple variants. But probably we'll improve it to avoid such confusion.

Hi, Try to update sound drivers. Check this video lesson which shows how to do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncO8vekrfao Firstly, try with "Search automatically..." option. This will let Windows to find optimal new sound drivers. Restart Windows.
-
Dom, You correctly added ReplaceWithEffectBuffer=1 or ReplaceWithEffectBuffer=2 But you need to remove a duplicating line below for each slide object: ReplaceWithEffectBuffer=0 Copy slide object, paste in Notepad, remove wrong text line, and copy/paste back to PTE transition editor.

Hi, I guess that there is a problem with audio drivers in your computer. Open the Project Options window > Audio tab. Add any MP3 audio file. On the right side on this window you can see a play button with a slider to test audio file. Click to play this audio file. Do you hear a sound? Open any media player in Windows and try to play any audio file.

Dom, Can you send me correctly exported transitions in .pteeff format? I cannot open *.effsrc files.

Hi Mary, I apologize for this problem! You can send me a personal message through this forum. I'll reply you. I couldn't find your recent request to our support team associated with your email address. Probably you could use another email? Or our reply was a marked as a spam. Please check a junk folder in your mail app.

Send me a short test project where I can see this problem.

Try a new version. It includes only this fix and installs as 10.0.10 Build 7: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/pteavstudio-setup.exe

Hi Dom, I suggest alternate solution. See here: https://www.pteavstudio.com/forums/topic/23225-dynamic-shadow/
-
Creating of a dynamic shadow for an Image object or Video clip. 1. Create a copy of an Image object with same main object index (1). Apply a Blur effect and Grayscale color filter. 2. Put both objects - image and it's "shadow" into controlling object. And set "Transparent for click" option for both objects. You can collapse this group of objects to see only controlling object. And it can be easily moved or resized. Now you can dynamically change "shadow" for an image or video clip and apply any animations. Also if you create a slide style, the image and it's "shadow" will be applied automatically due to same main object index. Example is attached. 1st slide - a static shadow (using objects). 2nd slide - animation of a shadow. Dynamic Shadow.zip

Thanks, we'll fix it in the next update.

My AV's are not working with High Sierra [SOLVED]
Igor replied to tkimages's topic in Troubleshooting
Hi, I apologize for this problem. Please read my post with a solution here: https://www.pteavstudio.com/forums/topic/19917-solution-for-non-working-slideshows-on-macos-sierra-10122/ Note, that executable shows will NOT work on macOS Catalina, because it doesn't support 32-bit apps. Also if you have source projects, I recommend to consider alternate variant - create a MP4 with HD or 4K quality at 60p. Video file will be compatible with any future Mac version. Because Apple too frequently break compatibility with existing apps and we have to add corrections in the code. -
Next generation Macs will use a 5 nm Arm 12 core processor
Igor replied to tom95521's topic in Equipment & Software
Tom, It seems that Apple may start from Macbook 12". The most likely, Macs with ARM CPU will not be compatible with existing apps for Intel CPU, or performance will be very poor. So we users may need to wait when all software vendors will update theirs apps. It may take additional 6-8 months to adapt Mac version of PTE for ARM CPUs. Technically our code will be almost same, just we have to wait when the compiler of a code (Freepascal) will be updated for Mac/ARM. They already work with Android/ARM, Linux/ARM, but it may requires some adaption for Mac/ARM. Also we have to wait adaption of video decoders/encoders for ARM version. Anyway, I'll buy Mac with ARM for testing to start the work as soon as possible. -
Hi, Please tell in more details. Do you use PTE AV Studio? If yes, this product allows you to create executable shows (in EXE files) for Windows. You can burn created EXE files on a CD/DVD disc (using Windows Explorer or another tool to burn CD/DVD discs). PTE AV Studio allows to create a menu show to run other EXE files.

Jill, Yes, we think to move this switcher to the main menu, or popup menu.
