If your project contains any video clips, or audio files in WMA, OGG, M4A, FLAC formats, or images in WEBP, TIFF formats it may add a 0.5 or 1 second delay on a start of this EXE file to unpack and initialize video/audio decoders. On fast computers with a SSD drive this delay is almost invisible. On my computer this delay is less than a half of a second. If your project uses only JPEG, PNG, BMP, GIF images and MP3, WAV for audio, the show should start almost instantly (taking only time to decode first 3 slides). If you create a MP4 video (not EXE show) all said above has no matter.

Jill, Do you mean a short flash of black (less than a second) before the first slide appears on the screen? If yes, it always worked this way many versions of PTE. When you run an EXE show, PTE loads 3 slides before show 1st slide on the screen. PTE should display something on the screen, this is why you see the black color. If you add only small JPEGs (say 1024 x 768), the first slide appears almost instantly.

Denis, Can you try the latest Beta version (it's a stable version): https://files.wnsoft.com/test/pteavstudio-setup.exe Yes, I observe one issue. Clone Transition command doesn't work if you just created or imported a new transition and did NOT click the OK button to close the Slide Options or the Project Options before use the Clone... command. A recently added transition was not completely introduced in the storage (because the Cancel button can revert adding/importing of a transition). We'll think if it can be improved.

Hi Peter, Do you have the Pro edition of PTE AV Studio 10? This feature is available only in the Pro edition (earlier in the Deluxe edition 9.0, 8.0). Roel, Probably some PTE files were corrupted or locked by another app. Let me know how it will work in several days, or week.

Roel, Try the following: 1. Close PTE 9 and 10. 2. Browse Documents folder > PicturesToExe. Make a full backup of PicturesToExe folder and delete this folder (or rename). 3. Uninstall PTE 9 and PTE 10. 4. Restart Windows. 5. Install PTE 9 again. If the program will offer import settings from previous versions, SKIP this action. Check the work of PTE 9. 6. Install PTE 10. Skip import of settings. Check the work of PTE.

Adrian, Please try again: 1. Close PTE. 2. Find a foldere where you original Templates folder is located. 3. Copy all sub-folders from Templates to another new folder. 4. Delete Templates folder. 5. Run PTE. And move a location of Templates folder to a new location. 6. Close PTE. 7. Copy folders from a backup of Templates into a new location with Templates.

Dom, Currently, it's not possible with slide styles. The only way is to use a fixed image included into a slide style (and it will not be replaced to user's image). It's not a bug. Slide style conception is already complex and powerful, much more flexible than in Proshow products. I'll discuss with my colleagues if it possible to improve slide styles for future version. Initially we added a possibility to include the same image on next slide to allow create an animation when the same image can pass through two slides. For example, if you create a carousel of photos.

Roel, Do you observe the same problem with freezing in PTE 9 and PTE 10? Try to find updated drivers for NVIDIA graphics. Your current drivers are dated by September of 2018 for NVIDIA. Check your laptop's manufacturer's website for available drivers, if Windows Update app doesn't offer new drivers. P.S. Please don't attach a screenshot with the About window, it contains your license key.

Roel, Try to uninstall and then reinstall PTE 10.0.10 Build 8 using the link I posted above.
