Jill, Thanks, I confirm this small glitch. We'll fix it soon. If you restart PTE, the File tree will show a connected USB drive.

Thanks, Tom!

Barry, It happens when a slide style require 1 image is being applied to a slide without any main image. PTE generates a virtual image (TextWith Size) which can be replaced later. Some slide styles with text captions don't require any image and this issue will not occur. In future version we will give another name for this missing image to avoid confusion ("Missing image", "No image").

Jean-Marc, Dave, Thanks! Our decoders could open all your TIFF images. We can support TIFF: 1. One or several layers. 2. LZW or ZIP compression. Or no compression. 3. RGB or grayscale images 4. Order of pixels RGBRGB or RRGGBB 5. Format: IBM PC or Macintosh 6. Transparency Not supported in TIFF: - TIFF with JPEG compression - Pages, only 1st page is loaded - Color profiles (need more time to investigate how to extract ICC profiles)
-
Jean-Marc, I need real TIFF images if you created them earlier.
-
Hi, Please send me several your TIFF images which you would like to use directly in PTE. Not TIFFs from Internet. If TIFF file is larger than 500 KB, send me a download link. We'll check them with our image decoder.
-
I'm glad! Thanks for the confirmation.

Can you send me several your TIFF images which you might want to use with PTE?

Alan, I apologize for missing problem. Please update VideoBuilder: 1. In the Main menu > Help > Uninstall VideoBuilder (DVD). 2. In the Main menu > Publish > DVD-Video Disc. Confirm the installation. Sound should be correct in 2nd and next shows in DVD project.

Tom, I disabled support of video files in the File list of VideoBuilder. They caused this problem, because the encoders are outdated. VideoBuilder now supports only PTE projects and MPEG2 videos. Please update VideoBuilder: 1. In the Main menu > Help > Uninstall VideoBuilder (DVD). 2. In the Main menu > Publish > DVD-Video Disc. Confirm the installation.

Alan, I just tried to create an ISO image with DVD from 2 PTE projects (2 and 3 minutes). It worked OK. Can you try again with other projects? And create ISO image. If you see any error, please attach a screenshot.

I just checked for specification of TIFF format and feeled a fear about support of this monstrous format: Not sure that it's a good idea to support this format and it will never be supported fully and correctly. 1. Mode: Single image, multiple pages, layers. 2. Color: RGB CMYK YCbCr CIE Lab Indexed Grayscale 3. Compression: PackBits (RLE) Lempel-Ziv-Welch (LZW) LZ77 ZIP JBIG JPEG CCITT Group 3, CCITT Group 4

Thanks, Jill. Additionally, Blur effect, color filters and Motion blur effect for video output available in the Pro version only. Some slide styles in Standard version include Blur effect, but you can't change it.
-
Alan, On your screenshot above I see that you added to shows for your DVD: .pte project and MP4 video. Please add only PTE projects, not video files for DVD project. Or wrap your MP4 video into PTE project and then add for a DVD.

Hi, Glad that you resolved this problem. If it happens again, let me know.

Problem with .wma audio file [NOT SUPPORTED FILE]
Igor replied to Paiche59's topic in Troubleshooting
Pascal, Thanks, I see the problem. But I'm not sure that we can easily support this format. It's WMA9 Lossless compression. File size is almost same for uncompressed WAV audio. MPC-HC player couldn't play this audio. Audacity refuses to open this file. PTE 9 freezes when I tried to play it. -
I received several requests from former Proshow users during past month to add TIFF support. Probably we'll do it. Currently I recommend to use PNG format if you need lossless quality, or JPEG as adviced above. Thanks,

Problem with .wma audio file [NOT SUPPORTED FILE]
Igor replied to Paiche59's topic in Troubleshooting
Pacal, Send me a coupe of WMA audio files which don't play. I have no problem with my WMA files. P.S. The best audio formats for PTE are MP3 or WAV. -
Alan, Does this problem occur when you burn 1st DVD with several shows? And you didn't click Back button to modifiy the project or burn another copy?
-
Barry, Try a new test version: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/pteavstudio-setup.exe

project saved with new name, not opened when reopening PTE
Igor replied to jkb's topic in Troubleshooting
Jill, Sorry for the late response. Do you mean PTE AV Studio or PTE 9? This problem might occur in old PTE versions if a project was received from a template or backup in a ZIP. In version 10.0 this problem should not occur. I couldn't reproduce this problem. -
Alan, We fixed this problem. Please try the updated version: 1. Run PTE AV Studio. 2. In the main menu > Help menu. Choose Uninstall VideoBuilder (DVD). 3. In the main menu > Publish. Click "DVD-Video disc". Install the updated VideoBuilder.

Action on Mouse Click - to Show video files as well as exe
Igor replied to jkb's topic in General Discussion
Jill, Ok, I understand. Try the following solution: 1. Use "Run Application..." command. Click to choose a file. In this window change a filter for accepted files from "Video Files" to "All Files". Now you can see and choose all files, including video files. 2. Configure your video player (VLC or MPC-HC) to run video files on fullscreen by default. Now when you call a video clip, PTE menu show will call a video player on fullscreen. When the video player finishes you can close it and PTE menu show will continue work. Does it work good for you? I just check with MPC-HC player and it worked fine. If you use FFplayer.exe from FFmpeg, the player will automatically exit after playback and return to PTE menu show. I can tell more about use of FFplayer. -
Hi Rosemary, Do you mean thumbnail images of video clips in the File panel of the main window in PTE AV Studio? If I remember rightly, PTE displays a video frame from 0:03s time position, because the first frame usually contains a back picture.

Hi Alan, I confirm this problem. Please wait a couple of days we'll fix it quickly.
