Insert Blank Slide not inserting at start of slideshow
Igor replied to tonyb's topic in General Discussion
Hi, Probably you worked in the Timeline mode? A blank slide is being inserted into cursor position (red vertical line). Switch to the Slide List mode. Select the first slide. Press Option + S, or choose "Insert Blank Slide" from a popup menu. -
Hi, Wonderful show and very impressive animation, especially at the beginning! Bravo! I noticed an interesting fact in your AV show. The last picture shows the yellow brick road leading to the Emerald City. This picture is from an upcoming local film coming out next January, "Wizard of the Emerald City" This is a local remake of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Here's the teaser/trailer for the new film: It’s another miracle that such a film could be created in such a difficult time...

Mary, Glad that you solved that issue!

Hi Mary, Probably there was a typo in the new Templates folder path? Wrong folder. I recommend to uninstall PTE AV Studio and reinstall it again. By default, a new Templates folder will be located in Documents: Documents\PicturesToExe\Templates If you will not find your old templates there, check your folders: D:\PicturesToExe\Templates\ D:\PicturesToExe\ where you tried to place the templates earlier. Close PTE AV Studio and manually move the templates to Documents\PicturesToExe\Templates 2. Then you can try again to move the templates to desired location in the Preferences window > Templates tab. I recommend to click the "Change" button to choose a new folder for the templates in the Open folder/file window. Please don't type a new folder path manually, because it may lead to typos and freezing.

Hi, Thanks for your response. Good luck! P.S. I just started a new topic on the forum:

Hi, In V11 we introduced an option "Save a copy of .pte project file in a .bak file" (Preferences > Project tab). It's disabled by default. I see that sometimes users face the problem of losing their projects due to computer crash. What do you think if we enable this option by default for all users in a future version? This will help to restore damaged project by renaming the .bak file to a .pte project.

PTE AV Studio 11.0.14 is available for PC and Mac Download: https://www.wnsoft.com/pte-av-studio/download/ Or use Auto Update feature: Main menu > Help > Check for Free Updates Fixed rare problem with reading certain JPEG images (if pixels were not encoded in YUV format). Fixed problem with the “Adjust Time Range” button for a video clip when a slide style is applied. Fixed issue with double \\ in file paths of images in a project saved as a Template and then copied to another PC (Windows only). The installation files are the same as recent public Beta version.

Daniel, Yes, iPhone offers good fast results and no manual control. PTE AV Studio is designed for creative people and offers advanced features and fine-tuned manual control.

Hi, Thanks for choosing PTE AV Studio again! Hope that you'll recover your project. Good luck! I'll start a new topic regarding the option "Save a copy of .pte project file..." activated by default for new users.
-
It's a good advice. Try this suggestion. Your recovered project contains the links to files (images) from a folder: E:\1-PTE AV Shows\00-Working Project\2024 Med\Photos\ Copy the project file to this folder and open it.

Hi Judy, A good question. I think, software like PTE is the point/station where you create a montage of images/video/audio/text. You have a fine control over everything you do in a project. And you need to use other apps (camera software, image editor, audio editor, text editor) where Ai (neural engine) can be intensively used for content creation. You then add this content to PTE and complete the final edit. Maybe I don’t see all the possibilities for using NPU yet. But we are tracking all related news.

Many thanks for your responses and wishes! I was 18 years old when we released the first version of PTE, 25 years ago.

Hi, We'll implement the nested blur in V12.
-
Hi John, I apologize for this problem. If PTE AV Studio can open the recovered project, it will automatically load the next time you launch the app after a crash. I recommend to enable the following option. In the main menu > Settings > Preferences. Project tab. "Save a copy of .pte project file...". It will help next time, if the same problem will occur again. Also periodically use a command "Create backup in a ZIP" from the main menu > File menu. It creates a full backup of your project.

Thank you very much!

Hi, We're celebrating 25 years of PTE AV Studio in July 2024. Quarter of century! P.S. V12 is under active development.
-
Hi Ian, Yes, we're working on PTE 12 and have a good progress on new features. We'll also show a completely new app soon. It is a small product.
-
Hi Ken, Try the following. In the VideoBuilder window click the Project Options button. Change "Audio format" mode to "LPCM" (or to MPEG Audio, if it was LPCM). Burn a new DVD-Video disc. We recommend to consider a MP4 video output with HD quality as a replacement for a DVD. All flat TVs can play MP4 video files from USB memory stick. Or sometimes even from a DVD/CD media (recorded as a data disk).

Gary, I agree with you, a simple rotation inside the picture borders would be a very useful addition for many users. Let me think more on this issue.
-
Gary, We can only apply cropping to the edges of the image. It's done in Framing parameters for an Image object. Rotation is not compatible with these parameters. Sorry. It requires using of a Mask container. In theory we can do it in the internal code to keep things simple for users.
-
Gary, I understand your task, it would be useful for many users. Check Google Photos on a PC in web browser. It allows to rotate an image. When you rote the picture, it automatically adjust the size to avoid appearing black strips/triangles around the object borders.
-
Hi Gary, Yes, I remember about your suggestion. I think that when you talk about this rotation option, you also mean applying auto-sizing to the image to avoid black bars/triangles appearing around the edges of the object?
