  1. In PTE 10 Beta 18 you can save or reset font settings for a Text object in the Objects and animation editor. See "Save/reset font" link in the Properties tab for a Text object.
  2. Added in PTE 10 Beta.
  3. Dave, I saw a bright spot in the middle of my monitor. So I managed to draw a correcting grayscale mask to compensate this defect. The result was good.
  4. How good uniformity of backlight in your monitor? My Dell U2417H has a more bright area at centre of a screen. I wrote a small utility which corrects uniformity of backlight by applying a masking layer above all windows. I used Photoshop create this grayscale mask in BMP file. I use this utility more than 2 years. It works in all apps including PTE excluding fullscreen 3D games.
  5. Mur, This command (or Ins hot key) moves next slide (with it's transition) to current cursor position. How it can be used: 1. Set a very long duration for 1st slide (say 20 minutes). 2. Click Play button. 3. When you hear soundtrack you can press Ins key to add points of slides (transitions) according your music. P.S. I moved your topic to the General Discussions, because this feature feature covers all previous versions of PTE.
  6. Done in PTE 10 Beta 15:
  7. Ron, Probably you need to disable automatic slide advancing? Set in the Project Options > Control tab > "Wait for a key press to show next slide". Or set similar option in the Slide options individually for every slide.
  8. Hi, Try the following: 1. Right-click the PixBuilder shortcut and select "Properties". 2. Switch to the "Compatibility" tab, then click the "Change high DPI settings" button. 3. Tick the box under "High DPI scaling override", then change the option from Application to System. This will force PixBuilder to use the Windows 10 display scaling setting. 4. Confirm the changes by clicking "OK". Relaunch the PixBuilder application and the UI should now be scaled on the 4k / High DPI monitor.
  9. Added in PTE 10 Beta. FLAC and M4A.
  10. Ron, Does this problem occur in PTE 8? If yes, did you try PTE 9? Do you use "Run Slideshow", "Run Slideshow with Return" or "Run Application" commands to run next show? I need to see the project file of the main window (menu) to understand what exactly happens there.
  11. Hi Geoff, Any modern laptops with NVIDIA graphics are good for PTE 10. 8 GB of memory is quite enough. Any modern CPU with at least 4 cores. If you choose a laptop with 15" screen I recommend to consider a model with a fast single dedicated NVIDIA graphics (not dual graphics). For example, NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1060. It's a really good and very vast graphics which will work well with many future versions of PTE and support all effects. Also choosing a laptop with a single NVIDIA graphics you'll get an option for video encoding to MP4 with GPU acceleration (faster in 3-4 times). So if you consider lightweight 13"..14" laptops I recommend models with dual NVIDIA + Intel graphics - Geforce GTX 1050. Just see my note below. It's also fast and good video card for PTE 10. In PTE 10 we solved issues with smoothness on laptops with dual NVIDIA + Intel graphics. Dual graphics are used in majority laptops (95% of models). PTE 10 automatically uses NVIDIA graphics in these laptops. PTE 9 doesn't work well on laptops with dual graphics - you need to wait for a solution from Microsoft (it may take several months). NVIDIA recently confirmed that there is a bug in Windows 10 with performance on dual NVIDIA + Intel graphics. It's not a problem of PTE iteself. PTE 10 will work faster and smoother on same laptops than PTE 9. Even the main window works faster and smoother. Faster video encoding. We added many optimizations to PTE 10. Also when you choose any laptop, I higly recommend to make sure that display is flicker free (no PWM), you can find this info in certain reviews, for example here: https://www.notebookcheck.net/Reviews.55.0.html
  12. Hi Laszlo, I observe a pause at the end of 1st slidw when I play this EXE file. Do you mean this problem? If yes, please open the Project Options > Control tab > and untick "Wait for a key press to show next slide" option. By default, this options is turned off for new projects. MP4 video seems to be OK?
  13. Hi Laszlo, Please try to reproduce this problem with reduced project (as small as possible). And send the project files in a ZIP archive via https://send.firefox.com/ by a personal message. Thanks,
  14. Hi Ron, I'm not sure that I rightly understood your question. In all versions a fullscreen preview starts when you click left mouse on the Preview button and then release the mouse button.
  15. Next Beta 11 tomorrow will include 64-bit EXE shows and fullscreen preview. PTE 10 will be 100% 64-bit app. Also system memory usage will be reduced on 20..30%
  16. Hi, Yes, just price difference + 2 USD (due to extra payment processing)
  17. I just received a message from NVIDIA representative regarding this problem with a slow performance of PTE 9 on laptops with dual NVIDIA + Intel graphics (also same problem occurs with Proshow products): Anyway, in PTE 10 Beta we used a temporary solution to avoid this problem (it was a hard work).
  18. Hi Jean-Cyprien, Thanks, you're right. Today - 20 years of PicturesToExe
  19. We're working on next Beta 11 with large improvements.
  20. Lin, Using of Motion Blur adds unusual result
  21. Does anybody already tried to use PTE 10 Beta for real projects?
  22. We fixed it in Beta 8. We're not ready change it in PTE 10. Sorry.
  23. Lin, Can you tell in more details?
  24. Hi, Read this announcement: https://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/topic/21388-for-owners-of-laptops-with-nvidia-graphics-on-windows-10/ PTE 10 Beta fixes this problem with Windows 10 v1803, 1809, or 1903.
