  1. Tom, We just finished a code of a new edge anti-aliasing algorithm for PTE 10. It will give much better visual result than all previos versions.
  2. Hi Bern and Keith, I'm glad that you solved that problem. We don't recommend to use Interlaced option for saving of PNG images. I never used it for my PNG images. PNG decoder is same in PTE 9.0.22 as in many previous versions.
  3. Hi Patrick, Regrettably I have no news from Ken for a while. Did you see this topic: https://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/topic/21052-ken-cox/ Probably Lin Evans can tell more.
  4. Gary, Speaking about MPEG-4 I mean "MPEG-4 Part 2 Advanced Simple Profile" video codec. This codec is very simple for fast video decoding using CPU. H.264 has a full official name - MPEG-4 Part 10 Advanced Video Coding. But usually all name it H.264 or AVC.
  5. Hi, Let me know what version of PicturesToExe you have. Please attach a small test project in a ZIP and screenshot with this problem. You can use Firefox Send service to send me a large file: https://send.firefox.com/ with a link in a private message (it removes automatically after first downloading).
  6. Jill, Thanks for your note.
  7. A license key for PicturesToExe (25 digits/letters) which you received by email when purchased PicturesToExe.
  8. Hi, What version of PicturesToExe you have? And what version of Windows? I never heard about this problem earlier. Try to update drivers for your video card and sound card. Check Windows Update centre for available updates.
  9. Carolyn, Please read my personal message which I sent you through the forum.
  10. Carolyn, When you work in VideoBuilder to burn a DVD video disc you need to add .pte project files to the main window of VideoBuilder. All project files should be saved (or updated) in same version of PicturesToExe (7.5 for example) before you add them to VideoBuilder. When you added one or several projects you press "Next" button and choose a Template for a DVD menu. All templates allows to choose a number of items (a grid of projects) for one screen - 1 x 1, 2 x 1, or 4 x 2, etc. For 5 projects you can choose "Items: "3:2". P.S. To make a screenshot press PrintScr key (on the top of your keyboard) and then insert image from a Clipboard in your graphics editor. Or press Win + PrintScr hotkey - it will save a screenshot as a file in "Pictures" folder > "Screenshots" folder
  11. Hi Carolyn, I apologize for this problem. Please tell me - do you need to burn a DVD video disc in VideoBuilder, or you need to put EXE shows on your DVD disc? Tell me in more details and attach a screenshot. I'm not sure that I rightly understood this problem. Try to insert a new blank DVD media before you run PicturesToExe or VideoBuilder.
  12. Carolyn, I moved your question to a new topic here: https://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/topic/21059-problem-with-dvd-video/
  13. We added a new sorting method in the File list to future PTE 10 - Exif Date. PTE 10 reads an original date of a photo from EXIF tags. What would be a correct name for this option - Exif Date, Original Date, Date Taken?
  14. Dave, Thanks for this clarification.
  15. Dave, Thanks, Please remind me also exact names of your NVIDIA and Intel cards. Did you try to run PTE shows two ways - by selecting Intel or fast NVIDIA graphics from a popup menu for an EXE file in Windows Explorer? And NVIDIA variant worked faster (smoother) than Intel, right?
  16. Dave, Can you check version and date of your NVIDIA and Intel drivers in Device Manager?
  17. Please read this topic from Dave:
  18. Hello Melanie, Please send us 1-2 sample files which don't work correctly, we'll check it. Attach these files to your reply.
  19. Hi, Tell me in more details. 1. Do you mean Publish option, creation of a MP4 video from your project? 2. What pixel size of your video? 1920 x 1080, 30p? What time duration? 3. What version of PicturesToExe? 4. Check Task Manager for CPU loading from other apps.
  20. Bert, OK. If you choose again "Windowed..." mode in the Screen tab, you can find a special text field "Caption of the show". Clear any text from this text field and set back "Fullscreen" mode.
  21. Bert, Tell me in more details, add a screenshot. I'm not sure that I rightly understood this problem.
  22. You need to modify this script. Count of slides and time points are now recorded in [Times] section of .pte project.
  23. Microsoft recently introduced a new feature of Windows 10: Controlled folder access. This mode prohibits any apps to save any documents in My documents, My images, My videos, and on desktop. Even Notepad and Paint apps can't save any documents in these folders! And users will see a meaningless error message on attempt to save a document. Some users accidentially enabled this option and I received two messages from PTE users recently. Symptoms of the problem in PicturesToExe: 1. Error message during the installation of PicturesToExe: "IPersistFile::Save failed; code 0x80070002. PicturesToExe cannot create a shortcut on the desktop. 2. User cannot create a video file, or an EXE file in My documents folder. 3. Creation of a slide style, or creation of a transition effect doesn't work (because the storage of styles and transitions is located in My documents by default). Solution: A. Disable "Controlled folder access" feature in Windows 10. B. Or add PicturesToExe to the list of trusted apps. More info from Microsoft https://www.windowscentral.com/windows-10-preview-build-183517-now-available-slow-ring-insiders
  24. After version 10.0 PicturesToExe will offer download and install a new updated version (10.0.1, 10.0.2, etc) like other products. This code is already done.
