Thanks, Dave!

It would be a sad news, because this niche of software needs in a competition of ideas. I have always respected our colleagues from Photodex. Their products PSG and PSP were released later than PTE, but it always was an interesting competition - who can create a better product. I hope that they can stay in bussiness. And I can understand their difficulties, because nowaday the competition on this market became much more strong. We have to work very hard to survive. A lot of competitors who offer simple slideshow software with templates for beginners. Online services for slideshows. A hard competition with video editors and big companies like Adobe. I feel great gratitude to all PTE community who support us and it allows us create new versions of PTE.

Jose, If you set globally the Unsharp Mask in the Project Options, it can't be controlled for a certain objects setting negative value of a Blur option. However I see one strange behavoir of PTE 9. When you change the global Unsharp Mask parameter from the O&A editor the preview should reflect a new result. Will check it on Monday.

Tom, As I know AMD Ryzen 7 is very good CPU. It should work fine with PTE 9 and 10. AMD manufactures really good CPUs now. For my next PC I will consider AMD Ryzen CPU.

Barry, I think that this issue is solved now. Thumbnails are square again.
-
That's great!
-
In theory this issue may happens due to non-latin symbols in names of files used in a project. PTE should warn about it when you create a backup in a ZIP. Windows XP may have difficulties with unzipping such archive. However all modern ZIP utilities should be able to unpack such ZIP archives. Also unzip tool in Windows 8/10 always should work fine.

Barry, How fast the forum works now?
-
Barry, I will try to change size of thumbnails.

This behaviour was related with slide styles which may require a series of sequential slides for the correct result. Also a result of work of style may be a different number of slides after application (less or more). A lot of cases which we should care on. However I agree that you raise a good question. In future PTE 10 we fully reworked slide styles and probably we will do what you ask.

Great! I will include this change for the next official 9.0.21 soon.

Dave, Good example, I've understood

Tom, Try a new version: https://files.wnsoft.com/test/picturestoexe-setup.exe

Barry, We fixed this issue for PTE 10. I'd like to add this change for PTE 9 but it may require longer testing to make sure that everything is OK. Thanks for understanding. Dave, Can you explain in more details, please? Hi Bruno, I will tell in a new topic soon.
-
Hi Tom, Sorry for the late response. I confirm this problem. We'll fix it quickly.
-
Ray, Please send me your project in a ZIP archive (.pte project and all images, music). I will check it. Use Dropbox or Google Drive to upload and share the file. Do you observe same problem with other projects?
-
Barry, Tell me in more details what slide settings should be copied on your opinion? Only settings from Slide Options window, or with objects?

Include audio track as part of a Slide Style
Igor replied to wideangle's topic in Suggestions for Next Versions
Including of audio clips from the global audio timeline into a Slide style may cause unpredictable behaviour of PTE. Where to insert linked audio clips? Which track? I consider an idea of a "Sound" object which can be added as an object to a slide (in Objects and animation editor). So the sound will be firmly linked with a particular slide and thus include to a Slide style. However a lack of this idea - no waveform and no audio parameters. -
Barry, Thanks, it's a good suggestion.

Tom, Yes, we plan to use it. The only problem that Google didn't provide official sample code for C++ (or Pascal code which we use for PicturesToExe).
-
Hi Ron, Can you firmly reproduce this problem?
-
Kieron, We'll check updated Windows 10 (1809) next week with NVIDIA mobile dual graphics. We also recently received a confirmation from NVIDIA about earlier reported problem with slow performance. So I hope that they will prepare the solution soon.

Robert, If you have modern Geforce graphics (especially Geforce 1050, 1060, 1070, 1080 series), you may try to use Geforce Experience software and screen recording. It works in realtime with encoding to 1080p.

Barry, We located and fixed this problem for future PTE 10. It was a deep change in the code of PTE and I'm not certain if it would be safe to insert it for PTE 9. It may require careful testing to make sure that slide style will not be broken. If you and other members ask this change, we'll prepare an updated version 9.0.x and we will need your help with testing of slide styles.

Barry, I confirm this problem. Thanks,
