  1. elijahnow and others... Much as I hate to "advertise" other software on anothers vendor's forum, I am surprised if no one has heard about "Hot Potatoes" other than me! Igor, please accept my apology for this "advertisement" You can find it at the link below! http://www.halfbakedsoftware.com/index.htm Bart
  2. Harry.. First of all...you do not have to yell or get upset! Go to your windows directory and you will find several sub directories In your case....Under Win98 it should be under system That is where you need to unzip comctl32.dll to! Under WinXp it should be under system32 It is very simple..it might asked for you to overwrite comctl32.dll, if so overwrite it, but I would rename the old one first just in case you have a conflict with the newer version! If you need more help on this, I will help you or others will help you also! About Nero..I have been using it since day one and I am pleased with their constant updating to make it one of the best or the best CD burning software! (This is my opinion, while others have theirs) Good Luck, Bart
  3. Stef.. What is the name of the presentation? I cannot find it!! Or am I getting blind? Thanks, Bart
  4. Ray.. I went to "Wally World" and they have big screen tvs also! If you get one, you can always ship another one at my home!! I perfer the LCD!! Good luck and let us know Bart
  5. Janie.. Try this too..sometimes this works with memory problems in Win98(SE) add or change this to the system.ini and let windows manage the Virtual Memory! [vcache] MinFileCache=0 MaxFileCache=16384 [386enh] ConservativeSwapfileUsage=1 MinSPs=8 Also have a utility for Win98 that displays CPU, physical memory, and swap file usage from CoolBeans if you are interested in it! (Much as I hate to "advertise" other software on other sites) The link is : http://www.barcin.net/downloads/sysinf02.zip (847 kb) Hope these will help you Bart
  6. Looks like you have a "little" problem Sir!! Look at the following link and it might help you out: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...B;en-us;q132668 If not, I will "scratch thy bald head harder!" Bart
  7. Igor.. I think this is not a "too hard" request from all of us!! It will make it simple to navigate within! btw.. Hello everyone! Bart
  8. Ken.. Thanks for the publicity!!! I need all I can get! Bart
  9. Bob.. I thinks Guido means this!! Correct me if I am wrong Guido icons in list preview
  10. Hello.. I want to try and clear up a issue about some of you are having trouble with music. For instance..if you have Windows 98 and want to install Window XP(home or Pro), Window ME(the most lame OS to date) there is two files that are very demanding for Window OS's to "see" what is going on within any 32 bit software. The files are: msgsrv32.exe or msgsrv32.dll These files are installed when you install a clean Windows OS. When you upgrade to another Windows OS, these files will not be overwritten and then this might be your problem! You have and older version of these file trying to run with the newer OS! Some problems that are related to msgsrv32.exe or msgsrv32.dll: Resource conflict or issue TSR's or other running programs Sound driver or sound card issues Onboard sound or video issue MIDI device or codec issues MP3 codec issues Memory manager being used Bad hardware The blue screen you see on Windows 95 and 98 Bottom line: Never "upgrade" (B Gates makes this possible, because these come out before the full version..so the public can go get a "hands on"and try)...get the full version of an OS and do a clean install and ALWAYS have a copy of your programs/softwares so you can have them running smoothly with the new OS. Another is codecs.. If you have alot of these, they tend to conflict with each other! Try to keep your codecs to a minimum and the ones you really need! Good luck and hope this helps!! Bart This is my opinion and others might have theirs
  11. Granot Here is a tag you can use if people are having trouble viewing your site and dealing with cache <meta http-equiv="Cache-Control" content="no-cache"> Put in between your head tags on your site!! Hope this helps! Bart
  12. Igor... Now is the time to slow down...AGAIN Wonderful job and P2E has come a long way and improving on the "fast lane." Thanks again for a prgram we can trust!! Bart
  13. You can use the object editor and preview it there also by using the preview function in the upper left corner. Setting it to the desire resolution of the screen. Hope this helps you!! Bart
  14. Jay.. Thanks for the kind words at our portal!! I have added a comment or two there myself! Thanks again, Bart
  15. Sir LumenLux... Try this link http://www.sermoncast.net/mp3devices.asp Hope this helps Bart
  16. yes.. NeoBook is good, but why pay for a high cost "e-book" program when you can find programs that can actually make ebooks cheaper! I have used NeoBook in the past (3 years+) and I think it is just a "cosmetic" e-book generator! Bart
  17. Clive.. Can you delete your 2nd post about autorun and lets keep it in 1 place? (provided no one has answered it or Igor might can move it) It gets cofusing when there are several topics of the same subject throughout the forum! The root of a CD is the base..the files like autorun.inf is by itself! Not in a directory! It is like what Granot mentioned in the above post!! Bart
  18. It goes something like this..I think!! "Wine and Dine is fine" "Cheese and PicturestoExe is (getting) better with age" Bart
  19. Jules.. Some internet hosts do not like to have "exes" uploaded to their servers due to various factors (viruses, trojans, etc)! Check with your host and see! The best way is to zip it and then upload it. Also, if you are thinking about your presentation being played if someone clicks on the "exe"..if will not! HTML (PHP and ASP) works in strange ways! Word of advice.. Some people do not like to download them because of what I mentioned above! Hope this helps! Bart
  20. Sharon... The file needs to be "autorun.inf" not txt Just trying to help out Bart
  21. Igor.. Your hard work is well awarded! Thanks
  22. Here..I am not trying to hurt Harry either!! But that is why I have forum on my site also and in the past as well as now..all members here are welcome to join in there! Also..if you remember my forum is a "Back-up" in case of this one goes down like it did in the past! Bart
  23. I am not trying to start any agrument(s) here but Rick do you say the above.. and then on another forum you mention this so-called secret software?? Here is the quote from that forum: I, myself and maybe others are curious...ehhh? Bart
  24. Eddie.. I have been a member of this forum and the past one for over 3 years and I totally agree with your statements! This is Igor's "bread and butter!" I know it hurts deep inside for Igor, but only the Developer of this fine software will tell his TRUE feelings about this! Bart
  25. Hello.. If Igor and staff starts using categories/sub-topics today... it will take awhile to get all topics, categories, etc. organized and maintained! Trust me, I have been there and it is a pain in the @&*$! This forum has over 1,100 topics, entries, etc. and the old forum had more and I hope Igor has the patience to do this..I didn't when mine "got out of hand" and that is why I started over. Since then, I have got it organized and the member/guest or I can bring up a topic/discussion without a problem within my forum(s). Also..I have noticed there are several repeats of the same subject(s) or topic(s) and this also is frustrating and you do not know what to do next! Maybe Igor's priorities is making a better software and let it's members/guests do what is best in the forum..I can't answer that..only he can! Enough said Bart
