Hypnotic ! I really like it. You should have insomnia more often... ;-) Are you ready to share your PTE project online, I would like to add global animations and change the background. Or can you send it to thedom @ thedom.fr ?

Hi Lin, I get a "page not found" error for the 3 links

Hi Maureen, How beautiful your pictures are! I would really like to have control of the show to pause or even rewind for those of them.... If it was possible ;-) I noticed you never permit this control. Any reason why ? I think the duration of the show was perfect. Nice music. But instead of only (superb) landscapes pictures, I could easily imagine a mix with photos of details (I think there is only two, one of snow and one of rock). Just a suggestion with my personal taste.

Tom, thank you for thé information. It seems there is more tolerance on France because it's not blocked for me. I will switch to an other music later (I'm away for the week, on vaccation in the french Alpes right now). Kieron, thank you for your encourgament. I'm working on a project, something new to present pictures. I was working on the proof of concept, something quick and dirty and it seems to work. I have to polish it now. I think you will like it... At least I hope. Mary, thank you for your comment and letting me know what you think.

1min 56sec - 27.41 MB - HD 1920x1080 - 20 slides - 53 pictures Please download the slideshow (exe file) on my website for a much better output quality. But if you don't have time, you can watch the YouTube video

Thanks Peter. I'm glad to be back, I missed this forum. I don't want to be rude, but as it is now, I don't see the point of the CRTL+E function. I still prefer to use the key frame time parameter that gives the ability to move the keypoint in real time. But I suspect it's still a feature in development and I'm sure Igor and his team will find "the" solution to move keypoints. The CTRL+SHIFT+P function is really great. If it could be associated to keykpoints, it would be perfect;-) PTE is in continuous improvement ! :-)

Thanks Jeff! I added your instructions in the article. For those of you who don't know what we're talking about, here is the link : http://thedom.fr/index.php?option=com_jdownloads&Itemid=54&view=viewdownload&catid=6&cid=248

You can use this template if you want an introduction and a final with date and time. The template includes a slide you can use to make chapters in your slideshow. I think it would be very nice for a trip or an event like a wedding Please download the demo (exe file) for a much better output quality. The template is available here. Instructions en français ici.

Wow, great !!! I have to try this feature! It's an option I was dreaming of for a long time. Thanks Igor :-)

Hello, I think you are referring to this slideshow http://www.picturest...vec-son-pinceau I am afraid there is not really A method, it's "only" a very intensive use of masks and a looooot of work. But maybe JPD found a way to industrialize it with his famous excel files... Hi Dom - the link doesn't work for me - but I put another link to the discussion below for you: http://www.picturest...h__1#entry63459 Lin

Hello Noel, You can change the "background" at the end of the animation and use an other texture or a photography : - select the “End” slide and open the "Objects and Animation" window. - Select the “handwriting-texture” image object (in the objects list) - in the Properties tab, click on the folder icon (top right) and browse your hard drive to select an other image. I hope it helps. :-)

The second method needs more work, is more difficult, requires to be very precise but you will have a much better result with lower spec computers (no jerk).

Hi Mike, I don't think so but it's an excellent challenge to make one in 3D ! If I have time, I will try something next week-end. Unless guys like Lin, Fred, Jean-cyprien... already make one before.

Problems using the Dom Template for a 3D Cube
thedom replied to carolphoto's topic in General Discussion
Carol, Peter is right, please use the support section of my website next time : http://thedom.fr/index.php?option=com_agora&task=forum&id=3&Itemid=55 Could you solve your problem with Lin's explanation ? -
Thank you and congratulations! Output quality is one of the biggest advantage of this software and one of my biggest concern... And I am sure I am not the only one.
-
Peter, thank you for your tests. But I would like to add that is is not specific to video feature with V7. It is the same for complex slideshows, especially the ones with mask containers. If your graphic card is a little bit old, you will have better result with video than with exe forf smoothness... But not for the size and output quality.

Best day of the week! Thanks to the Wnsoft team!!

Niiiice !!! Igor, just for information, is a version of PTE for iPad feasible and in your plan ?
-
It's a very good selection of photos, I really liked your slideshow but to be honest, I found sometimes frustrating to have no idea of what/where it is. I am really impressed with your monochrome work !! Could you give advices to have such a big contrast ? Is it something you tune in photoshop ?

ON HURTIGRUTEN - IN SEARCH OF THE LIGHT
thedom replied to Lakelandlass's topic in Slideshows & AV Shows
There is a diversity, a perfect balance in the choice of your excellent photos. A real pleasure during eight minutes ! I liked the Ken Burns effects but may be they could be lighter. I found the music a little bit depressing for my taste. At least at the beginning of the show, I couldn't prevent myself to think that I wouldn't like to live there. Too bad you disabled manual control of the show. I am curious to know why you made such choice. Anyway, thank you very much for sharing this excellent slideshow. -
I totaly agree with Peter ! The main complain I read about PTE is its interface that a lot of reviewer think it's stark and complex. I don't think so but it's probably because I'm used to it (I use this software for a long time now). But to be the most impartial as possible, let's be honest, it's not very sexy and appealing. As Peter said, it's a little bit old fashioned. I'm quite sure an interface with BIG ICONS would fit new users tastes. And it would give a more modern look to the software that really needs it. Once again, I don't speak for myself but for newcomers. And when people choose a software, the design is VERY important. For a user/marketing point of view, a new look for the interface could contribute to expand the clients base. I think Wnsoft has generally to think about the future and its commercial strategy.
