Hi Jeff, I only make the animation for the Vivaldi font. But it already needs a lot of time and patience.
-
Thanks Igor, great news. It will give me time to build the animation for all caps and special signs (&, @, etc...) It takes about half an hour per letter.

Glenys, Jeff, thank you for your comment. I tried to make the exe with 5.7, 6.04 and 6.5beta 1 with the same result. Auser, I do not claim to be the one who spark off the idea of handwriting. Actually, years before Visisketch, people already made this simulation of handwriting with softwares like Sony Vegas or After Effects. But those softwares produce a video (with Visisketch too). You can not use it with PTE (for the moment) and the size of the video file is really big, especially if you want it to be in HD. The only thing I do is to make it possible directly within PTE with the ability to make a short title / sentence in less than a couple of minutes. The definition provided by PTE is excellent and the size of the exe remains small. Actually, Ricardo Zarate send me an email three weeks ago to ask me if I could simulate the shaky writing of a granpa, an energic writing of a quick-tempered man and the writing of a housewife. That's his request that gave me the idea to simulate the handwriting. My main source of inspiration is not the Proshow forum that I visit very very rarely (as an ex-user of Producer, I was a member of this forum) but it is actually videos posted on YouTube, adversitings on TV or directly requests people send me. Is there something wrong with this ?

Thank you very much for your replies. It means there is a bug with PTE, as the problem (once again, in the exe only) doesn't occur only with my computers. I hope Igor can fix it quickly. I imagined the project as a puzzle to compose your own title, letter by letter. Each slide corresponds to the writing of a letter. I already made the animation for all the lower-case letters + caps T and W. Such a tool could be very nice to draw in a elegant way the title of your slideshow, especially for weddings.

I made a project to simulate handwriting. Everything runs perfectly in preview mode (in fullscreen mode). But if I run the exe, the result is not the same for some letters (each letter is drawned in a different slide). I tried to run the exe on an other computer and the problem remains the same. In the example below, the problem is with the letter T. The problem doesn't occur with the video posted on YouTube. You can watch it to see how it normally should look like : Please let me know how the exe runs on your computer and if you have the display problem too. Using the same project, if I add more letters, the problem of display (only for the exe) will be with an other letter. I made an intensive use of masks. It might be very jerky with older videocard. Igor, what do you think ??

Hi Graham, On the order page ( http://www.wnsoft.com/apr/order.htm ), you can read : I guess you will have to pay 28 x 24.99 = 699.72$ Unless Wnsoft is ready to sell students licences (lower price)...

Impressive list of new features ! It will need a lot of time to discover and enjoy. Thanks Igor & Team!

Hello Joe, Unfortunately I can't help you but I know Wnsoft is very busy right now with the release of the next version (beta 1) in a week. That's probably why you didn't received your key. The email you received from Wnsoft is certainly an automatic email notification. Trust me, this company is very serious, care about the customers and has usually a very good support. I know it's very irritating not knowing what's happening but I am quite sure Igor will give you some news very soon.

Please download the demo for a much better output quality. This templates is for 40 pictures (+1 pic for the stamp) but you can very easily add more pictures. You can use pictures in 4:3 or 3:2 format. The template is by default for 16:9 screen ratio but is perfectly compatible with every screen ratio (4:3, 5:4, 15:10, 15:9, etc...). The template is available here. Instructions en français ici.

Splitting the Screen for stereoscopic projection [SOLVED]
thedom replied to Randlov's topic in General Discussion
Hi Randlov, What you can do is to use the PTE feature : add mask. Add a mask for the left image and choose a rectangle shape. The size of the mask you will create will be 400x300 (corresponding to the ratio of your image 1600x1200). You have to add the left image as a child of the mask object. The image will be shown through this mask. You do not need a mask for the right image if you put it under the left image. It means the image object corresponding to your right picture will be underneath in the objects list. This way, you can zoom your pictures more than 100% and they will not overlapp. If you need, I can post a pte project tonight (in about 5 hours). -
The Eyjafjallajokull Volcano - Iceland
thedom replied to colin hill's topic in Slideshows & AV Shows
Thanks Colin for sharing, very impressive pictures ! I was even more interested by your slideshow that I will go to Iceland at the end of June... unless the volcano doesn't agree. -
Unfortunately, I am afraid it means we won't be able to see the background music waveform. I am right ?

Woow, there is certainly a lot of work in this 3D animation! The bells are stunning! Square objects are easy to make but bells, it's not piece of cake. I would be curious to know how much hours you spend to built it (and I use this verb on purpose ). I think even Igor didn't suspect such an animation would be made with PTE. Congratulations for this technical tour de force and your impressive skills with PTE... and architecture!

Thanks.

I like the concept a lot, very creative! The animation could be smoother and why not with a little bit of 3D animation that would be very appropriate. But it's already an excellent start. Thank you for sharing.

Here is an improved version of my first envelope demo. I rebuilt the project totally from scratch, except for the beginning which is quite the same with the stamp effect. I really put a lot of attention to details for more realism : 3D animation, sense of depth, shadows, effects of reflection... If you compare it to the original version, you will see the difference. And I added a letter for the author to put some notes about his slideshow.

Somebody else will correct me if I am wrong, but I think there is no project settings you can change to apply to your whole project. But what you can do if you have a lot of pictures is to open your .pte project with notepad (right click and choose "open with...") and replace all "FitMode=PlaceInto" with "FitMode=Cover". I really recommend to save the .pte file with a different name to have a backup if something goes wrong.

Igor, is it possible to include this suggestion for next version? I think it would really facilitate the ease of use of features like smooth movements for a lot of users and would be a time saver.

ability to integrate video clips into PTE shows
thedom replied to Ed Overstreet's topic in Suggestions for Next Versions
Hi Keith, thank you for the link. I tested it (with mpg and avi files) and it works perfecly well. The only problem is that it takes a lot of time to load the video, even with very short ones. -
Transitions/effects previous en next slide in Q&A
thedom replied to AnKo's topic in Suggestions for Next Versions
+1, I agree, it would be much more convenient. -
If you use "clone keypoint", it will add a keypoint with the same caracteristics as the one copied, whatever the number of keypoints already existing for this object. If you have only one keypoint for an object or add a keypoint after the last keypoint of this object, the result for using "add keypoint" will the same as if you use "clone keypoint" : The new keypoint will have the same parameters as the previous one : same pan/zoom/rotate/center/3d parameters. If you have more than one keypoint for an object and want to create a new keypoint between two existing keypoints, if you use "add keypoint", it will add a keypoint with intermediate values depending on where you add it on the timeline. By example, if you first keypoint ( A ) has zoom=0 and your second keypoint ( B ) has zoom=100, if you add a new keypoint between A and B at 1/4 distance from the distance between A and B, this keypoint will have zoom=25

Please download the demo for a much better output quality. This templates is for 50 pictures. You can use pictures in landscape AND portrait format, whatever their ratio (4:3, 3:2, 16:9). Actually, you can use whatever format you wish, even panorama or square pictures! The template is by default for 16:9 screen ratio but is perfectly compatible with every screen ratio (4:3, 5:4, 15:10, 15:9, etc...). The template is available here. Instructions en français ici.
