In case you're reading this during your vacation, STOP THINKING ABOUT YOUR "TODO" LIST !! Enjoy your vacation.

Yes, this is a typo, thanks Ken.

Thank you for downloading and watching this demo. Comments welcome. [ 40 pictures - 6 minutes and 10 seconds - 25.1Mb ] -

Peter, I am really impressed with your improvment. As you said, the most difficult part is to change parentage but it seems you finally could do it, congratulations. Just and advice : you should use smooth speed option for a perfect result. And may be the cube should be recomposed only at the end of the animation (and not at the beginning). I think Lin used an other technique to build his original 3D cube. May be I am wrong, but I think he explained in his tuorial the technique I used for my 3D cube template. But as he said, there are different ways to construct the cube. You will find some of them easier to undestand, depending on how your brain conceptualizes 3D... and how attentive you were during math lessons ! Anyway, I am waiting patiently for the final result.

Slide Show on Ladakh (vimeo video and file exe)
thedom replied to pisolomau's topic in Slideshows & AV Shows
I really enjoyed your show, really wonderful pictures, especially of portraits. It's very difficult to mix portrait and landscapes pictures (meaning orientation). But may be you should try to add backgrounds for slides with portrait pictures. And you could use smooth speed option to smooth pans & zooms. In my opinion, if you agree, you should share the exe too, your slideshow really deserves it. -
Thanks Mary. You are completely right, if you use different fonts (and backgrounds), instead of flowers (and colorful backgrounds), you can have completely different themes to match the spirit of your pictures. If you need more fonts and/or ideas, there are thousands and thousands of dingbat fonts on http://www.dafont.com. Happy templating...

Ed, I totally agree with you. Compact cameras and bridges already allow to record movies for years. Now, DSLR do the same. It becomes an actual reality. For the future of PTE, to ignore this fact would be in my opinion an error. But I imagine those two major features (audio mixing and video clip insertion) represent a lot of development, time and work. It would be great if they could be both implemented at the same time but I guess one of them will be first. I don't really care which one is first as long as they are available. But you raise a good point : I would prefer not to use an other application to edit the sound of my videos. If it's feasible, I would be ready to pay for the "video module" and the "sound module" of the "PicturesToExe suite". If somebeody doesn't want to include videos or to edit his soundtrack within PTE, he wouldn't have to pay for this features. But let's not forget that for the WnSoft team, PTE is their living. BTW, may be a hint about the next feature...

Igor, I don't want to sound provocative, but I wonder if there are still a lot of PTE users who have a video card older than 2003 ? May be I'm wrong. In this case, what would happen if you would add this functionnality and somebody with an old GC would try to apply a blur ? Would PTE crash or would the blur only be not applied ? Anyway, when do you think it will be the right time to add this feature ? Tom, it's possible to simulate the way you describe it. But it needs an external photo editor, a lot of time and work. The ability to simulate blur directly within PTE would allow a lot of artistic effects and a great creative flexibility.

Hi Brian, Did you ckeck the requirements (on top of the description page) ? You need to install the "Saru's Flower Ding" font. I guess this is what is missing.

Hello Dave, You can assign left and right mouse button to an action to control show. You can also allow or not the control of the slideshow to keyboard. You can find those options in Projects Options, Advanced tab : Control of Show.

Ken, Allan, thank you. Actually, the demo is not finished. I want to add some more details. The most important is that I want to decrease the pages on the right of the photo album as the pages go successively on the left side. At the end of the animation, the pages will all appear on the left (instead of on the right as it is now). I think I should release the templates in about 2 weeks. I will probably make a final version of this demo before the template.
-
Brian, I think Lin told you everything you need. The only advice I can give you is to actually use different names for your images for each template. Because if you merge several templates with same name for different images, you won't be allowed to use the "backup in zip" feature. Here is what I think is the more appropriate : Template called "tpl1" => name of images : tpl1-pic01, tpl1-pic02, etc... Template called "tpl2" => name of images : tpl2-pic01, tpl2-pic02, etc... I hope to see your creations soon.

Tom, I added the "3DCube Panorama" template in the "Inside The cube" package. Please send me your email address by PM (I am not sure to have the right one) in order for me to send you the template.

This template is highly customizable. It is available for 4:3 and 16:9 screen format for 4:3 and 3:2 pictures format. You can purchase it HERE on TheDom Shop. To see what this animation looks like, please download the demo (exe file) for a much better quality compared to the video. [ 22 pictures - 2 minutes and 5 seconds - 14.79Mb ] -

Hahaha, I was sure ! Do you think it will be your christmas present or will you purchase it before (or after ) ? I am really excited about mine. I think I should receive it in less than 10 days.
-
Hello Petere, This is certainly a problem of codec (you can read http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10324) Open your sound file with a sound editor (Audacity by example) and export it as an mp3 file. Use this new MP3 in PicturesToexe, it should be ok.

Too late, I just ordered the canon eos 7d and the tamron 18-270mm about... 5 minutes ago ! It's really true. I already read this article on photozone.de but thank you anyway. Actually, I think I read almost everything I could find on the internet about this DSLR and this lens.
-
Thank you for downloading and watching this demo. Comments welcome. [ 5 pictures - 1 minutes and 10 seconds - 7Mb ] -

Jim, John, thank you very much for letting me know what lenses you use. I think I will buy the Tamron 18-270 first and will purchase others later, especially a lens for macro. Igor, will you buy this DSLR too ?

Can we say that beeing able to modify the observation point is like having a camera object that you can put wherever you want ? By example, you can put the camera on the grass to simulate what a bug can see ? Or, on the opposite, put it at the top of a building to show what you can see from up there ?
-
Wow, so many new features ! Now, Wnsoft team, go in vacation !
-
Very interesting idea because observation point in the middle of the screen can be a severe limitation right now. If it can be implemented without beeing complex (and even hidden for users who do not need this parameter), I add my vote.

Justin, I understand why the link doesn't work (at least for me). You provided http:///www.youtube.com/watch?v=khM7UWIMxmQ (3 times the character "/") instead of Anyway, your show is in 4:3. If you disable Pan & Scan when you publish on YouTube through PTE, I am sure it will be not be cropped.
-
I am not sure if it will change anything but you can try to install the last driver available for your graphic card.
-
Hello Justin, I couldn't watch your show because it seems the link you provided is broken. But you can make aspect ratio slideshow different from 4:3 (like 15:10, 16:9, etc...) without images beeing cropped (top and bottom) if you disable Pan & Scan when you publish it on YouTube. in PTE : Create > Publish on YouTube > click on the ¨Pan & Scan enabled" button and select "Pan & Scan disabled". Hope it helps.
