Geoff, I guess you only have to create your own folder with your own buttons and background in \VideoBuilder\Templates. I think you can copy an existing template (copy the folder) and create one easily. There is an .ini file (option 4/3 and 16/9). Do not forget to change the parameters if needed. May be Igor or Pavel can write a short tutorial ... ?

Here is a sequence you can directly include as it is at the beginning of your slideshow for a "show off" / movie effect. I'm not sure to understand when you speak about only two fonts which can be used. I just re-installed windows XP, I didn’t installed fonts and I have already about 100 fonts by default. I really would like those pre-animated effects, which can be applied to text - but to other objects as well ? - without spending hours to build them myself. It’s like transition slide effects: most of them can be done manually but it’s a lot of work. If I remember correctly (I couldn't find the post), Igor already told us he will implement a kind of shaking effect for pictures. That’s exactly the kind of effect I am looking for. But there are a lot of others which can be interesting and useful too. And if you want to distribute your slideshow, you can include the font (with subfolders) in the archive and the end user has only to unzip it on C:/. I’m not sure it’s such a big problem, is it ? But of course if Wnsoft can include the font directly in the exe, the dream becomes true.

I think it's a very good idea. Of course each one can write comments and "grade" the shows how he wish but it would be interesting that we use the same headings. We could add several headings like "Interest of the show" and "Subjective appreciation". But the goal is to have a limited list of headings. I guess others will discuss the topic. It will interesting at the end of the discussion to edit your post. Anyway, unless others do not agree, I pinned your topic as a suggestion to "grade" shows.

Honestly, I can't imagine how you still can make money with a life licence. I think you're one of the last developpers to have this policy. I hope PTE users realize how generous it is.

The possibilities are endless ! But the best utility is in my opinion for fantastic compositions. Your collage_masks demo is in my opinion the best illustration. Most of your effects (magnifying glass by example) are absolutely impossible to do in PTE right now. I really hope this feature can be added in PTE in the near future...

I don't know if it has already been discussed (I don't have time any more to read each post as I did before ) but it appears to me that the speed option feature could be slightly changed : I think it would be nice if the speed option would be applied by default on each section - whatever the option choosed (linear, smooth, accelerate, deccelerate, custom) and whatever the number of keypoints the objects has. Each section would be separated by default and the speed option choosed in the O/A window applied to each section. It would prevent a lot of clicks to seperate each section and to apply speed options. The user would only enter the "setting up speed options" window only to glue sections and apply different settings to those sections. What do you think ?

Somebody (no signature) posted a comment on my site about the Carousel Template : Actually, now that he mentionned it, I think he's right about clockwise/anti-clockwise rotation. That's why I included in the archive an other template for clockwise rotation (v1.1). Link unchanged.

Excuse my ignorance but I would like to know if it's possible to create a custom size AVI file (800 x 600 by example) on my HD without having to burn it on a DVD ? I used the "create DVD" feature to create a MPEG2 file but the resolution is not big enough for what I need. Thanks for your help.

What I would like the most in PTE is the use of true masks : Those masks would be a new kind of object in PTE. Images are displayed through the mask which is associated to them (mask = father object). The display of the images is constrained inside the masks. It would allow to make very quickly and very easily nice (animated or not) compositions. Keep the classical list of slides but to have the ability to switch to an other kind of view : multiple tracks, something that would look like what is done in Video Editor like Premiere by example.

I love the ability to be able to do what you want with text but it takes a lot of time to make complex effects. It would be nice to have ready-to-use animated effects for text.
