I think one of Barry Beckham's 'Five Minute Videos' may have the answer. Checkout No 057 - 'Select Your Own MP4 Video Cover'.

Stunning. How you can come up with such an Inspiration Show I can only admire at your ability. Truly brilliant with music that, for me, is just right. Thankyou. One to watch again and again.

I want to add to Berny's thanks to your Comparative Effects Visualisation. Really impressed and Programs that I had no knowledge about. Your video did actually make me checkout the three programs, and so, I then also appreciated your reply to Berny with your comments on the positive/negative aspect of each of the programs. Trouble with me is that I buy a Program with all good intention but then find I struggle to understand the basics. But thankyou also for your time and effort. I am still tempted.

Thankyou Alex, The penny has finally dropped. George

Alex. Must agree with 'jienese' although I should add that the two later 'video not there messages' that related to 'damaged film' and which were in the previous version look like they have been resolved. This one 'video missing message' appearance though seems to be within the very first seconds of the first slide. Looking at the 'Objects and Animation'for Slide One, okay in comparison to my ability to produce something like this, I am a right amateur, but there does not appear to be a place on the layers for such a movie as shown in the previous question image, 'Dirt andScratches'. And perhaps oddly it only appears in Slide One. Love this concept though. George

Alex, No problem. It could be me though, I don't know. I am away next week for a few days so would not be able to check it out/respond straight away, so definitely no panic. George

I have just been testing this style out with three old images of London. However it looks like that in about three instances that one can see on screen that the ‘video could not be found’ message. I have looked in the ‘Objects and Animation’ tab and whilst I cannot see what I am missing, I did look in awe at the numerous layers. Wow what detail. What a set up. Truly amazing. However back to my test project, the ‘Damaged Video’ link that seems to appear on screen three times, although I have checked each video layer in the Objects and Animation and each appearance does indeed link to the correct location of the Project File in my new folder. So I could see no reason for the ‘video not found message’. Looking at a slow playback it does seem that around just under 1 minute it looks like a ‘Dirts and Scratches ‘ video cannot be found (but I don’t seem to have such a video nor, looking at the Objects and Animation Editor, can I see anywhere where it should go.) And at around 5.24 mins and 10.26 it looks like ‘Damaged Film_1 is missing. Last night when saving this Test Project it warned me that ‘files were missing’ but I could not determine what they were nor even if I knew, where they should go. This morning though I have gone back to the original downloaded Project File, doing nothing and just with the original Pictures 1, 2 and 3 that were downloaded, did spot that same ‘video not found’ message. So I just wonder whether these messages are deliberate and in keeping with the style or I have had problems with the original download? Downloaded – Transitions Folder (that had two folders inside both containing Damaged Film_1.mov and filmstr.png) / Cheremshyna_Web.lock / Cheremshyna_Web.pte / Damaged Film_1.mov / Damaged Film _2.mov / filmstr.png / Pict_1.jpg / Pict_2.jpg / Pict_3.jpg / Your Choice Musik. PS. Thinking though about this Style idea, it might give the family a laugh by instead using early photos of me – Can imagine the response ...‘Wow did they have movie when you were little grandad?’. I must admit that I just happened to notice this posting and sure am glad that I did. What a brilliant idea thankyou. George PS - No idea whether this would work, but in the 'paid version' of https://www.unscreen.com/faq it may even be possible then to remove the background and so use the flag waving with your own background.

Rightly or wrongly, I have posted this separately from the Slideshow as it relates to my puzzle as to how I should be saving so that I can best utilise myself the style idea. With ‘Alex55’ recent posting within Slideshows ‘Cheremshyna’, I have finally got round to asking how others actually save these Styles? Under normal circumstances, and a Style with a ‘ptestyle’ format I would add it to my Slide Styles folder and then within PTE, Import. No problem. ‘Cheremshyna’ though is a PTE project file with eight other files if you include the music. With this type, what I have been doing is to create a new Folder within my PTE Projects folder, and put all these items opened from the zip file within. Is that how others do it or as is more likely, am I missing something far more easy?

Great idea. I have some images of a 19th century London that I think would go well with this style.
-
Nope, last Styles uploaded it looks were 2018. Shame, a good idea though.

There was, and looks like is, a 'one central place', well at least for quite a few Styles. I must admit that I had not looked for a while but Bert's posting made us recheck. Have a look at ..... https://ptearchive.com/pte/DaveGee/

Really really Clever. I like the idea of saving memories of a time long past. By coincidence, I recently ‘came across’ some sepia images of 19th Century London and have been toying with an idea of putting a audio visual together of Memories. So as you may imagine, your audio visual was of even more special interest. Interestingly too, I have used a colourisation program on these sepia Images of Old London and am quite impressed with the results. No doubt there are many such programs around, I have started using …… https://pixbim.com/colorize-photos Music. I also have that issue with finding suitable background music, but your choice, for me, was okay. It did not jar and was just there in the background. A really clever presentation of old memories.

I keep watching it. Fascinated in how you got that fan type street scene to work, and then BOOM! So simple. So effective. So thought provoking.

Love the film. Love the music. Love your Video. Thankyou. Aready watched your sequence three times. Thought your mix of the Movie & Orchestra worked really well. What also caught my eye was the font used for The Good, The Bad & The Ugly right at the beginning.

Many many thanks. That is great. I have had a project I wanted to do for weeks trying to find the right idea, and your Template just may be the perfect match. No doubt quite simple when you know how, but I certainly would also appreciate some advice on Template usage. If, for example I wanted to put together my own Intro and Outro, but utilise this Template in the middle. Is that possible? But then how? George -
Just downloaded. Thankyou. Quite cool.

Thanks Tom for that reminder. I also checked out Jean's link at the beginning and which I copy below. http://diapositif.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=42012 Awesome.

Not sure I fully understand your question. However on my PC within my Documents Folder, there is a ‘Pictures to Exe’ folder and this contains my Slide Styles, Transitions etc Folders. So when I download a new style, I immediately copy it into this Folder and at this stage would attempt to rename the Style if thought was necessary. Then when in PTE, I import the new style as normal, however the location always being the Slide Styles folder in my Documents. This way all my Styles (and Transitions) are located in the same place and so I know where they all are and can re- import them should some unforeseen disaster befall. It seems to work for me. Does this help?
