Barry, Thanks for reply - have no problem with being able to do batch conversion - for some reason I do not like jpg, so would most likely go with png. Igor, Will watch this space with interest. Thanks again.

Hi Lin, Thanks for reply and information. I have a large number of tiffs built over over the years so I would have to convert all of them.... Dave

I understand that PTE does not currently allow the use of the tiff file format. May I enquire if there are any plans to do so in the future? Many thanks.

Igor, I am pleased to say that I have managed to get a mp4 version to run on my Android. Leaving the laptop overnight and starting fresh with hardware acceleration off (medium quality) seemed to work ok. Thanks.

DG, I appreciate sentiment of staying logged in - not only do I exit the browser every time I am finished with it, I even switch off the PC if away for an hour or more.... Igor, happy to wait for your work to complete.

Igor, I have managed to make a mp4 from "HD & 4K" as 1920x1080, medium quality, 30fps without using hardware acceleration and this resulted in a massive file size of 1.9Gb and this plays back both on PC and Android (VLC). The zip file is close to 1Gb which will take me a long time to upload on a 1Mbs upload! Will try a shorter version...

Thanks DG!!! I have had to log in to see your comment..... other emails coming through to my address okay.... Still confused! Dave

Igor, Will check as suggested later today. Selected the mobile option as hoped for smaller file size....

I am trying to publish a 470 image file which is using a 3 sec AB fade transition without any motion / movement etc. Each image has been sized at 1920x1080 and saved as high quality jpeg prior to insertion into the show. When trying to publish 1280x720, medium quality, 30fps (Video for mobile devices) the resulting files cannot be played on Android 9 (Cosmo communicator) using VLC player. I have rendered file with and without hardware acceleration to no avail - the screen remains black. I have also rendered a 1920x1080 version and this will not play back on my PC with the attached image. Using v10.0.0 build 4. In both cases earlier versions (with only 200 or so images) played okay. Is there a file limit in PTE / mp4? Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks.

Igor, Thanks for getting back to me - can advise no emails still received. I await the server update.

Hi Igor, Thanks for getting back to me. On checking the second link, both topics I have posted in I am shown as "have email sent for notifications" yet nothing arrives. On the first link, there is a warning box about Firefox blocking notifications but do not see what that has to do with not receiving emails? Especially as I always close my browser when finished a session. I have also checked the "email" tab for the notifications / updates I require. Some options are greyed out so am unable to change these. Still confused as to why nothing is coming through via email.

Having just joined the forum and asked my first question (which was answered in excellent fashion) I find that I am not getting email notifications when the topic received a reply. I "think" I have ticked everything to say I should receive emails (and checked my email address) but nothing is coming through to my mailbox or spam folders. The one thing I have not checked is any of the "social media" options as I don't have any (boring, I know!). I do have "notify me of replies" checked. Is there anything I should do to get these notifications? I don't have the browser running 24/7 as I close it down every time I am finished with it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Dave

Tonton, Many thanks for taking the time and trouble to put together your informative video. It makes sense of what Lin, Wideangle and Jill had said. Very much appreciated. Again thanks to all who have helped me on this issue. Dave

Thanks Jill, It sounds so easy - just wait until I try it! Thanks for help. Dave

Hi Lin, All slides for this "show" are 16:9 landscape so will name the "style" accordingly! I have been in and changed the colour on a couple of the slides where the visibility is low as you surmise. I have previously used text with a white edge / stroke to help the black colour stand out when on a darker background - will wait until I know PTE a little better before I try to be this clever! Many thanks again. Dave

Lin, Wideangle, Many thanks for replies, I will try to "create" a style tomorrow when I next get a chance. Sorry if not clear about "basic styles" - I can only say that I have not knowingly applied any styles to to the show. I have merely added the slides ... One day i may learn more about PTE! Thanks again. Cheers, Dave

Please bear with this question as I am a newcomer to PTE - a refugee from Producer!. I am making my first slide show which is a very basic sequence of images from the last nine years of a local sing along and will have some 200 slides of the various artists. I wish to include the exif date of capture on each slide and have been able to do this via "select all" and getting the text field from the "comments" box. So far, so good. This text appears to default to the top centre of the image and is in white. I wish to have the text in black and at an angle of 45 degrees in the top left corner of each image. I am able to do this via "objects and transitions" for a single slide. If I select more than one slide, the "objects.." option is not available. While I can go into each slide and manually set position , rotation and colour is there a way to do this for all slides? The only exception would be the title slide. Hopefully I have missed something very obvious to allow this to happen..... I am not using any styles / transitions other than the very basic ones.... Any help would be appreciated. OK - RTFM - has allowed me to get the required text into the top left of each slide, however I am still struggling to rotate it to 45 degrees for all slides without doing it automatically....

Many thanks for this video - as a newcomer to PTE it gives me a good idea of what I could achieve.....
