  1. Hi Gary To me it looks like the camera is on a gimbal of some sort? Rosy.
  2. Hi Gary I remember that one from way back, was the GP hand held or fixed to car? Looks like it was hand held as there is one point where you hit a bump, the car rocks but the picture doesn't? Rosy.
  3. Hi again Spent an hour or two putting together a vibration test video from various past shows using different cameras. I created an Mp4 of the collated clips using PTE, with settings at the attached screen shot. It's on Vimeo so the quality is not as good as YouTube. Vibration Test. Rosy.
  4. Hi Guys Interesting experiment! Gary on your video I noticed vibration when you went across the Zebra crossing, plus the smaller picture size would cut down visible vibration effect, whereas Tom's is full screen. Be interesting to see Tom's results from his GP10 Black. Rosy
  5. Hi Gary & Tom Gary What type of suspension have you got on your bike, have you a close up picture of it, are the roads urban suburban or country trails? Tom difficult to compare without knowing the quality of the road surface. Rosy.
  6. Hi Tom Hope you're getting a good deal for the bundle? Rosy.
  7. Hi Tom I assume you will be getting the version with the tripod / hand grip which has the built in remote control? Rosy.
  8. Hi Tom Before going to the expence of the GP10, take a look at the SJ6 Legend advertised on SJ's site at $129. I bought mine from there in 2018, used it in the petrol Fiat Panda for many miles, always gave good video on the move. Latest one has a higher spec'. Rosy SJ6 Legend.
  9. Hi Miet I don't use styles myself, but to go to basics, when you click the link on DG's post, do you get the box appearing top right in the image below? If you don't, what version of Windows are you using? Rosy
  10. Suggest you explaim more about how you are shortening the video, you can't shorten it by reducing the original time. Rosy.
  11. Hi Not really sure how you are trying to do this? Have you tried shortening the video clip using the trim function, see screen shot. Rosy
  12. Thanks Rosemary The M6 at Preston was the original motorway in the UK, then known as the Preston bypass, which you probably know. We did the trip regularly from Oldham to Largs in Scotland when we had property there. Regards Rosy.
  13. Thanks JRR We'll be watching the Canadian GP recording this evening. Rosy.
  14. We thought as a follow up to our Oliver Cromwell show we would use the video portion to show the estate as it is without the horses & cannons. Rosy Cheeks. Our Fulwood Home.
  15. Thanks Rosemary. I think this will be our last move,. However, we are still trying to sort the medical services we received in Hesketh Bank, but it seems Preston City council have a different rule book. Cheers Rosy.
  16. During the move from the bungalow to an apartment, we discovered it was built on the site of the Battle of Preston, one of the final battles of the "English Civil War". Rosy. "In Cromwells Footsteps"
  17. This morning, went back to basics, cleared the clips we had converted, which we think were causing causing the programme to jam someway. ( I wasn't able to alter opacity & some other items.) So we shut down, re-started the PC & managed to put together a show. It wasn't as complicated as I wanted, but patience prevented us from attempting any further modifications. Some may be wondering how we made the tour of the estate video. We bought a suction mount from Ebay & attached it to the bonnet of the car & fed an extension to the camera tripod mout through the side window. "In Cromwell's Footsteps" is in the new shows thread. Rosy.
  18. I'm afraid we still aren't getting this. Just videod a 7 minute clip with the intention of cutting out the dross & using 3 clips which I want to overlay onto another separate master clip. First I tried the original conversion/trim method for the first clip, this worked, then tried adding the new original master to the end of the slide list, taking it into the O&A screen & trimming out a second 90 second clip. When I had done this the trimmed clip (3) was grayed out in the file list & shows as a thumb nail in the show folder. When played it starts from the begining of the master clip, not the trim start, as happened in my original post, not at the new trim start 3 minutes into the master clip. Have attached S/Shots of the problem.
  19. Been thinking about what Dave suggested, one of the reasons for using the video converter as I did originally, was, it usually reduced the file size of the clip. Most of my stuff contains over 50% video clips & exceeds 10 minutes run time. Does this now mean by not converting, my shows be much larger, also if nothing has changed why was I getting the problem described in my original post when using the converter. Rosy..
  20. Thanks Dave. Tried the way you suggested & it worked ok. Hopefully, problem solved. Thanks Rosy.
  21. Thanks Dave got that, my final version will be an MP4 on Youtube. So has something changed from how things used to operate, eg dragging the triangles to where you want the start & finish points? If I do as you say, what happens to the original clip, can I still use other parts of the original? Rosy.
  22. We're putting a new show together composed of home produced clips & stills & screen caputure clips from Youtube using Camtasia. I've done this 100 times before but am having problems with the process now. Basically we select a video from Youtube, capture it as an MP4 with Camtasia, trim & convert it in PTE. What is happening, the trimmed clip doesn't appear but the original one does. The original clip is 3.25m & the trimmed clip should be arouns 3.08m. The trimmed clip shows the correct length in the shows folder, but not in the show files. See attached screen shots. Rosy
  23. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. Not sure about that, I use Apache Open Office Org as my office software, that has a similar history system which I find difficult to interpret. My Adobe software just goes back 1 step, which I can relate to. Rosy.
  24. Hi Rosemary "I Wish!!! I believe memory plays a big part in what you use in PTE, it's the new twiddley bits that baffle me. Cheers Rosy.
  25. Sounds like you are using manual save? I have auto save every 15 minutes set. I know it's too late now but I well remember back in the old days when Ken's favourite saying when someone had a problem "Jesus Saves"!
