Hi Maureen Some good, getting into digital photography, discvering PTE, some not so good, falling out with the camera club, 4 month winters. Cheers Rosy.

Yes that works Hi Maureen, recognised a few of your pictures from our 5 years living in the Dales. Couldn't get the sound to work at first, then found I''d plugged the speaker cable in the wrong socket after our move. Regards Rosy.

Problems reinstaling PTE AV Studio [SOLVED]

Did you save your PTE password? Rosy -
Hi Macian Those pavement cobbles make me cringe, had more near accidents walking on them, especially when they are wet. We stayed at the Marina Hotel last time we were there. Cheers Rosy.

Hi Rosemary Tried to send you a message but I'm not sure it went, is your profile set to receive personal messages? Rosy.

Hi Finally got it, don't know why but I had to go through about 5 screens before I was able to download it. Didn't see Portimao where we were for 12 months in 2004/5. Lovely country though. Cheers Rosy PS Just dug one of my old shows out & screen shot this from Portimao.

How can I tell which version is which? Rosy.

Failed. Tried umpteen times, every time it tries to open one of my old shows, Gave up in the end. Rosy.
-
Hi Again MHW Are you downloading the correct version? Maureen added a MAC version later. Regards Rosy
-
Hi MHW It just says Mac on SSC so I didn't bother trying, he'll be on later to confirm one way or the other. Regards Rosy.
-
Hi Maclan. I see you've only uploaded a mac version. We lived on the Algarve for 12 months, would have been intersted in what you have shown. Rosy
-
Hi Maclan It's a long time since I uploaded to SSC as most of my shows now contain mostly video & the file size on SSC is restricted. File name is the mane of the show, add tag is just a name to follow the show with rather than the full name. Follow this file sends you info about comments on the show, About this file is just a short description of what the show is about. (I Hope) Rosy

Hi Maureen Nice to see you back in action. Rosy
-
Personally, I always put all my clips through the convert process. 75% of the time this reduces the file size which is necessary in a video show over 10 minutes. Rosy.

Thanks maclan. Rosy

Do your old shows run with the latest version of PTE? Have you got the latest version installed? Rosy. -
Hi Macian Thanks for your sympathy, one half of our partnership is OK ish but the other isn't & never will be. Vascular Dementia is a dreadful affliction that as of today cannot be cured. Regards Rosy.

For many reasons I am unable to complete this show. I compiled videos & stills of how far I had got with the Electrification of the Trekidoo into a shortened show. I put the trike up for sale on Ebay & got one tire kicker who came & just wanted to knock the price down, but I refused. Then I put it on Gumtree & a guy who is a member of an Asian charity in Preston came & looked, liked it saying they wanted it for a summer parade but had to get the committee's permission to buy it. Eventually I decided as I was donating 10% to the Alzeimers society with my Ebay add, I reduced the price & he agreed to buy it. He came this morning & collected it, we managed to get it in the back of a Citroen Picasso similar to ours we changed last year. Hopefull he will complete the electrification & have a successful parade. The unfinished show is on YouTube via this link Electrifying the Trekidoo. Rosy

I remember in my early digital photography days having a Flickr account which I loved & it was free. Then it was taken over I think by google & I lost 90% of the content I had on there. It was then taken over by Smugmug & I stuill use it very infrequently. It now looks like they are pulling the rug again. See Flickr Rosy.

Hi Gary "If I can cut out sections of the long video file and retain it as one file, please let me know. I just don't see how." Im sure you know what to do, As you describe, you can cut out the sections you want to retain without damaging the original. As I said, on a 1 hour clip it is laborious cutting out the sections you want to keep, then adding them to the show in the order you want. The original 1 hour video is always retained in its original length. BTW I always try to restrict my original videos to 30 seconds, one minute at the most, moving my shooting position after each one. Alternatively, speeding them up. I would think a 1 hour video from one spot would soon bore people to death. Rosy.
