  1. I'm in the middle of a long show on being a Carer. It contains a lot of sensative areas that I want to partially mask off. Has anyone done this & suggest software that doesn't cost the earth. I have Adobe Premier Elements, that has something called Candid Moments. Had a brief look but it didn't look like something I could understand. The subjects will move in the clps, so the masking needs to follow them. Rosy.
  2. Hi you can do it in PTE but it's a bit labourious. Rosy.
  3. Many times when shooting video there is a wobble of some sort in the middle of the clip. It would be handy if I could cut out the wobble in one stroke. Rosy.
  4. It's back!!! I assume Windows up-date re-installed it? Still having problems with BT Wi Fi dropping out Rosy.
  5. Take a look at HP's range. Had one of their laptops & Desktop 3 years now. Rosy.
  6. After the MS update, my desktop changed & internet connection kept dropping out. Just done an HP diagnostic check & it said MS had removed a programme called Realtec wireless Lan driver which I don't understand, it gave me the option to re-install it which I did, now mt desktop looks as it did before the update, have I boobed? Rosy PS I'm still on Windows 10. Rosy. LAN Drivers for Microsoft Windows 10 (DCHU")
  7. Hi Jill Let's see what he says. Rosy.
  8. Hi SeismicGuy I assume you know about the Lightbox type view where you can arrange slides to any order you want them to appear? If you don't, there is a very small icon along the bottom R/H edge of your pte show, the second slide below says click here, the first shows the view you get, to go back, click it again. Rosy.
  9. Like a fool I downloaded all the latest MS updates my Bullguard AV was telling me to. After 3 re-starts & jiggling about I finally opened my home page which was totally different than earlier today. The bottom info bar was minus 1/2 the items I had on it originally. Then when I opened the forum page & tried to post a warning, it came on with the text from my previous topic.. Eventually I was able to add the topic with no text & type in. When you reach 82 frights like this really un nerve one. So beware all you MS users. Not so Rosy.
  10. Hi Tom Had a few tries with the Sony & was surprised at the steadiness of the video when zoomed (very smooth) & at maximum 60x zoom. I haven't had a camera that was as smooth as this one. It lacks various features of more expensive cameras such as mike socket & other items, but I think I'll keep it this time. Got my refund for the gimbal. Back to the fracture clinic tomorrow. Cheers Rosy.
  11. I bought one of these back in 2018ish, a Sony CX405 60 X 9.2MP HDR. Took it on holiday, used it a couple of times then sold it. When Tom bought his new Go Pro that wet m buying buds, the camcorder was on the list. After sending back the Gimbal I was surprised to find the CX405 was back in stock. Suppose their stock of chips had been reserved for their high end stuff? Anyway, I ordered one from Amazon & it arrived Monday. I'd forgotton it had an internal charger, which I had on my first digital camera & failed after 2 years use making it virtually useless. Not wanting a re-occurrence I decided to order a charger & an extra battery as I had problems with my action camera with after market batteries. The best looking deal was from Sony for a battery & travel charger, why it's called a travel charger, I don't know as you still need a power supply from somewhere. The charger & battery arrived from Sony this morning, it wasn't much bigger than a memory stick. There was a 50 language pamphlet on do's & dont's but no instruction leaflet or connecting lead, pretter poor for a £55 item. Onto Sony's web site, downloaded the manual & found where it says the connecting lead you buy separately, luckily I have one & the new battery is on charge. The camcorder itself costs £199 from Amazon & is pocket size, see pic comparing it with my fingers. Hopefully, I'll get more use out of it than the gimbal. Rosy.
  12. Hi Almark If you drag the video clip into the bottom slide line, highlight it & open O&A, all the functions are there to edit it. I think that's what you mean? Rosy, see screen shots. Enlarge trim section to full screen X2 Edit by clicking square on trim video line.
  13. My visit to gimbals is now closed, couldn't download the DJI Mimo app to my phone, which was mentioned on other sites. Being collected tomorrow. Rosy.
  14. Hi Tom the definition on that one doesn't look as good as previous ones where you could count the hairs on your arms. Rosy.
  15. Slight progress, managed to pair the DJI OM5 to my phone with Bluetooth, Mimo is still illusive. Can download it to my PC as a zip file, but not to the phone. Get error message saying this programme may damage you phone, ignored that. app starts to download but then stalls? Rosy.
  16. Hi Tom I haven't been able to download the app MIMO to allow full control of the camera yet. Had a couple of goes but can't make it happen. Circumstances you know about are cutting my free time down + additional factors have come in. Will explain more by PM when I get chance. Any gimbal news I'll add to this thread. Cheers Rosy
  17. After seeing Tom's new Go Pro, it wet my spending buds. I didn't want to spend much as I had just invested in a new phone as my old one's battery was getting tired. We've made a short video Gimbals re-visited, it's on Youtube here Gimbals Re-Visited. Rosy.
  18. Hi Tom Looking good. I think to create more interest, attach the camera to your head & pan from side to side. Splashed the cash & spent the afternoon in Preston hospital, will PM you more. Rosy
  19. Hi Tom Definitely looks better on the GoPro. The difference in brightness maybe due to recording on different days? I'm sure you will crack it with dual simultaneous recordings. Just back from a mad 1/2 hour with my Panasonic DCG 100 strapped to the mobility scooter in the woods, will PM the results. Rosy.
  20. Update, just added some text to the slide with the clone stamped spot in O & A & the spot had disappeared. So Hopefully, problem solved, I hope. Rosy
  21. I'm doing some work with images that were recorded on VHSC tape in 1995. Then it was digitised in 2007, then the image was screen shot from an MP4 video. There was a spot on the middle of the subjects nose, where from? who knows. I opened it in Adobe Elements 19 & clone stamped the spot until it was acceptable. Then added it to the show I'm producing, looked ok, then opened it in the O & A screen to add some text & the spot had come back. Anyone got a clue what is happening. Three images included, 1 the original image with the spot, 2. Clone stamped to remove spot. 3 Clone stamped image opened in O & A with spot returned. Rosy.
  22. Hi Tom I suppose the best way to compare them visually is to have 2 monitors with the GP on one & the YT on the other. I don't have those facilities. Rosy.
  23. Hi Tom Watched your new video, I see it was on GoPro's Cloud? Be interesting to see if it looks the same on YouTube. Rosy.
