  1. Lin yes it is missing on my ie 6 is there on my firefox 3.5.2 i sent answer also from firefox it may work on ie 7 but no time to start other system until the chatter on newsgroups quiets down re ie 8 acting up i wont install it my feelings is i think ie8 works fine on vista systems but not on older setups will try on safari 4.0.3 [531.9.1 also no fast reply bar real nice to have the same deck of cards for the players MY MISTAKE FAST REPLY IS AVAILABLE ON MY SAFARI ken
  2. this from firefox below fast reply bar is a box with faint letters click inside the box to enter text am too polite to say what i am thinking :angry: ken
  3. I would appreciate a screen shot showing where fast reply is - i have yet to find it with or without my glasses from the help Fast Reply Where it has been enabled, there will be a fast reply button on each topic. Clicking this will open up a posting box on the topic view screen, cutting down on the time required to load the main posting screen. Click the fast reply button to expand the reply box and type the post inside of there. Although the fast reply box is not expanded by default, you can choose the option to have it expanded by default, from the board settings section of your control panel. Pressing the 'More Options' button will take you to the normal posting screen. I cannot locate Pressing the 'More Options' ken
  4. Brian glad you noticed as well -- i think that the new layout has a lot of adobe flash/java embedded in it and i have updated the adobe component but it is still slow reactiing and takes forever if on copies / pastes a sentence to something else -- this with my ie 6 -- tried it with my firefox latest version 3.5.2 and no hesitation so must be my ie6 browser ken
  5. Dave - Eric's show full screen on my 1024/768 19" 4:3 monitor btw i always resize my picts to 1920/1080 and let pte look after things - ken
  6. JEB if you do a search for boxig you will find his latest version also dom had a thread re same piece of software Lins time zone is +- 8hrs difference than yours ken
  7. Eric the only thing missing (besides the collies) was the smell of fried onions -- will have to put a bug in Igors ear -- he seems to be able to do almost anything -"SMELL TO EXE" brought back memories - had an 8N Ferguson/Ford great job KEN
  8. works here in the colonies ken
  9. Pushu see http://www.iobit.com/advancedwindowscareper.html# i think the free one ken
  10. Guess i jumped the gun - too excited that we finally got places to put threads - sorry about that ken
  11. Eric http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00mfkvt/Countryfile_30_08_2009/ Currently BBC iPlayer TV programmes are available to play in the UK only, but all BBC iPlayer Radio programmes are available to you. Why? If you are in the UK and see this message please read this advice. Go to Radio channels home page Just thought that collie/sheep shots would have an acceptable background - after all hollywood made a movie http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112431/ Comedy, Drama, Family, Fantasy $63,659,000 ken
  12. ERIC were you able to get any of the collies working? are you happy with your new lens? ken
  13. But Barry with all the "background noise" in these type of shows, it would be very difficult to "dick around" each picture with adobe whereas with a landscape scene you experts have a field day so IMHO Eric's shots are "true" ken
  14. SEE http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8954 you might also try the Kantaris Player http://www.kantaris.org/ i have had good luck with Igor's recommendation and i use Kantaris to play my divx etc files ken
  15. if you resize the picts keep the original 5mb picts in a separate folder and are you using mp3 music -- wav files are very large - they will make your show quite large am going out for a bit now ) ken
  16. i can only guess the original exe plays fine on the computer you made it with if you are trying to run it directly off the cd - you do not likely have enough computing power -- a normal thing that we have faced with for years copy and and paste the exe from the cd to your desktop and it will likely be fine my slideshow is about 637Mb - lot of "meat to grind" ken
  17. Igor said a while back that the pdf was to be updated -- write to him and ask him, 'tho presently he is a bit busy ken
  18. if you save as the pte -- with a proper name i think if you hit the create button at bottom of the list is exe it will save create as with the name you gave the pte - and into the same loacation as the pte then you can load the exe to a flash drive or just burn it to a cd as a file with your ordinary burning software see page 16 of the pdf help file ken
  19. MIKE we seem to have lost the ability on how we view each thread am going to try to attach a screenshot of what we have lost -- maybe somebody can tell us where they have gone in the interim, try top right of a thread - =1"]View New Content and see if that helps you ken
  20. I'M ONE OF THE OLD DUDES AND I LET IT RUN IT'S COURSE IMHO the difference between this one and Peter's was the speed and music -- it had PUNCH old dude ken
  21. wideangle from the history file PicturesToExe v4.40 (March 28, 2005) ------------------------------------ + Improved file transference of a project into another disk or PC. (Copy the main folder of your project (which may contain embedded folders with pictures or music) and PicturesToExe will find new file paths.) ken
  22. Dave the scrolling text could have been slower and text larger for us old guys great shots and music ken
  23. Xaver -- according to this http://translate.google.ca/translate?hl=en&sl=fr&u=http://fr.wiktionary.org/wiki/l%25C3%25A8che-botte&ei=EaaXSsuEM5W3lAeMx4CzBQ&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=5&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3DL%25C3%25A8che-bottes%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26sa%3DG why dont you just quit stirring the pot? ken
  24. Dave I dont know how it works but i think membership status depends on how many times you post we have quite a few members that rarely if ever have posted ken
