  1. try this bulk resizer free Easy Thumbnails http://www.fookes.com/ezthumbs/index.php?3.0 make settings as you wish i use it all the time easy Thumbnails see my basic settings -- the algorithm recommended by igor ken
  2. save originals as is into another folder then copy and paste the contents into another folder and then if you have the monitor at [1920 x 1080] save some at [1920 x 1080] 100% quality and make a small show -- dont worry about tunes at this point - run the show and see how it looks ken
  3. dont downsize you picts -- if you have saved them [1920 x 1080] leave them there and see what happens when you make a quick show ken
  4. did you double click both reg keys again? see attached ken
  5. IF THAT IS COMFORTABLE FOR YOU then try it for a bit DaveG has been mentioning that size quite a bit recently ken
  6. did you try the key finder program to verify you are registered? http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index....showtopic=10273 ken
  7. take them to your local photoshop who does this work -- from my own experience it is very time consuming as well the cost of the scanner this group is dedicated to the type of Scanners Ron mentions http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/ScanHi-...?yguid=79486596 they may be able to give you advice also http://www.f32.net/Associates/Barleigh.html think they are in the UK ken
  8. Nix did you try the key fider program to verify you are registered? http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index....showtopic=10273 and why are double posting use the reply or fast reply rather than the quote function ken
  9. UNPINNED AS PER DAVE KEN
  10. Peter Dave requested it be removed - i held back due to the other answers in the thread -- it is Daves decision ken
  11. DAVE GOULD, the author of this thread feels it is no longer relevant and would like to have it removed ASAP OBJECTIONS? KEN
  12. This thread was a mild one - basically everybody loved Maureen's picts -- but the music, some felt did not fit this thread below was the thread to end all threads - and it was all about "peace" lot of people we don't hear from any more or very seldom see http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index....amp;#entry25053 i watched the show several times this morn on both my monitor and the tv -- still a great compilation ken
  13. Barry a few of us have been using 1920/1080 format for quite some time -- anticipating the use of ws tv as the norm ken
  14. Barry asked "Ken I havn't a clue what you mean about high res hiding sins, please can you explain? How does a low res protect your eyes. Eyes are amuscle like any in the body and when they get tired they tell you when to stop. If you mean to be able to see icons because of poor site, then that is different. However, you can use a 1024*768 screen to produce any size show you want, as you know." with hi res the images on the screen are smaller -- text spreadsheets picts etc therefore flaws in picts etc are not easily seen - and my eyes strain too much to see -- we have this discussion many times when you recommend we change the screen resolution to what you want - as it is your shows generally do not fill my screen because i refuse to change my res to suit you another example letters written on laptops - the text default is small and i can hardly read it comfortably ken
  15. NO I dont run the native resoution - i have to respect my eyes - i run 1024/768 19" SAMSUNG 932B Max Resolution 1280 x 1024 / 75.0 Hz will have to get a bigger monitor to run higher res or use the 37" tv NOT ken
  16. IMHO using the high resolutions can hide many sins ken
  17. JEB http://www.1000islandsinfo.com/ http://www.lake-district.gov.uk/ the first shot at the lake-district web site was of the mountains -- i thought i was in British Columbia Canada ken
  18. it is all in the ears of the listener ) ken
  19. I commented on Maureens piece off list -- my comment was "very peaceful", she replied "that is how i intended it" or words to that effect. now this from a Scottish writer http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2009/jul/26/s...lans-membership maybe the pipes like the clans are not in fashion anymore the pictures could have been from anywhere but because a few recognize the area they feel that the music is wrong http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billabong so Maureen could have been in Australia and took the pictures then the appropriate music should have been along the lines of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waltzing_Matilda ken
  20. if you already paid for it and installed the the deluxe version c/w the registration you will not have to pay again for 2 years just download it and install it ken

  24. a couple years ago in the early days of p/z i made a show of my daughter's house expansion using picts she put up on a web page and picts i took -- i made an avi the old way, converted to a divx with one of my programs -- i cant remember which proggie -- oldtimers disease -- i did this more to satisfy Hawk because he was experimenting with divx and i had to have something to tell him. I never appreciated the show until i got my ws hd tv cw with the samsung 1080p UP player connected to the tv via the hdmi cable -- prior to this i had been quite satisfied playing it via the svhs out feed of my ati 9600 card to the standard 4:3 crt tv the colour/pictures / etc are right on at 10-12 ft viewing -- when 1ft away there is the expected pixelation the info on the screen when playing the divx file with the dvd player says 1080P and screen is full in "JUST" aspect setting http://www.panasonic.ca/english/audiovideo/lcd/tc37lz85.asp see specs with attached ken
  25. LIN GOT ME INTO USING http://www.kantaris.org/ Kantaris is a new media player based on code from Videolan client (VLC) and Bass audio library. Kantaris has a graphical user interface similar to that of Windows Media Player. Version 0.5.8 works with Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Windows 7. but IMHO gui is far superior and seems to have more smarts ken
