my brother has had a mac since commodore 64 days and he continually rubs my nose in it as to what it will do vs windows - he has a recent version -- dont know what cause i ignore him my techie had an old mac and thought it was a clunker my techie bought a new mac couple months ago to develop software with - "hate to admit it Ken but she is the greatest" it has its quirks but he can live with it -- his problem is learning a totally new way of doing things ken

-
Swede do you have any idea how big the dvd is going to be? if you made an avi less than 100 mb's and put it up to mediafire, they could download it from there ken

If my memory serves me right [ and others have ageed] when 5 came along it was supposed to retain the simpleness of the predecessor -- BASIC functions -- there were so many simple things that could be done, now a newcommer and old guys have to jump thru hoops to do the simple tasks -- the fun has left the building my backup system with 16mb video card failed when Igor first put test shows up made with early beta 5's my main system had a 64 mb card but i have changed it to a 256 -- now the motherboard -- 5yrs old in June will not support the newer boards that i want the only show that i really had a problem with was Peters kaleidoscope and it was intermittant - some days it would run and somedays not the bottom line is have deep pockets and devote all your time to keeping abreast of the enhancements and how to work them ken
-
Dave my previous thoughts stay the same if you have shows made prior to ver 5 keep 4.49 -- for it's simplicity of use alone -- and can be used for a training tool keep the last ver 5.5 that works for you use 5.6 as experimental until it proves itself ken
-
Peter but then they wouldn't have anything to whine about and that would take all the fun of pointing out shortfalls of the program ken
