SEEING AS IT IS FIRST TIME occurence and you say the bug has been around for some time why not fix it in the next version ken

It is Igor's thread but he should have put it in the proper section as Lin suggested - the thead/discussion has gone too far to be separated at this time but it should be moved to the "suggestions for" section the resolution subject has been a thorn in the program for years -- it really bothered the "experts" but the normal people never seemed to complain. but if buttons can be made to start the show in 4.49, then switch to 5.5+ standard then 5.5+ expert all the while when a save as command is given it saves it under the version it was made with and indicated as such in the name of the pte this should make everybody happy and we wont have to change our screen res to view Barry's shows anymore ken

Peter et al Mediafire the copy to clipboard box on the upload pages gives a full blown url like you posted the copy to clip board box on the download page gives an abbreviated url and they seem to have changed the upload page a bit since yesterday -- it asked me which folder i wanted to upload to - never had that happen before or i might have missed it ken

I am not advocating hacking but i feel there has been enough said on this subject ken

in an earlier entry i said that this piece of software was mentioned over a year ago and there was no hoopla -- now there is because AVG is detecting it as a trojan - -no other software is saying it is bad - as yet:) so who has had their pictures hacked a few years ago it was brought up about security of the exe etc -- the thought went away thankfully as far as i am concerned Igor has more important things to resolve -- the next thing the exe will not work because somebody has some program that says it is a boo boo -- then Igor will have to spend more time resolving that issue -- look how much time he has to spend to resolve problems with the forum or false indicators by a anti virus program what it all boils down to if you dont want anything hacked dont put it on the web for the general public to view. Lets move on ken

2nd question no you do not have to uninstall 448 - ver 5.5 installs to a separate directory In fact you can still start to build a show with 448 and then open the pte with 5.5 save it with a different name there is ver 4.49 availablewhich you should get first and install it ken

I have been looking at the wrong place all along -- have been looking at the blank spaces glad you cleared it up Dave When i used to use it i never changed what Xaver is changing -- as i said earlier i used to include version of program or test # etc in the blanks ya learn sumthin' new every day ken

Just to clear things up i downloaded the MultiExtractor 2.80b and scanned it avg detected trojans screenshot attached AVG did not print out in red letters as i stated but i have seen these red letters before when scans reveal trojans etc. ken

avg displays those red letters when it finds an abnormal state ken

I refreshed my memory and was going to add a couple screenshots and yes Barry is right -- if you make changes to the comments tab slots, they do not change in the start up screen as a side point if you use a picture for background you do not see any of the data you may have typed in via main/customize startup window you just have 3 buttons at the bottom added the screenshots ken

the pte proper should be in the folder -- so first thing is to find where it is -- not the s/c then start the pict to exe program and direct it to open the pte that is in the folder save the new pte with a new name. shut down the program then double click the new pte report results ken

make a zip plus a template make sure you see where they are put try them out as an extra precaution burn the 2 folders to a cd make sure everything runs ken
