  1. "which is also beautiful, and of the sort that YouTube supposedly likes -- but Youtube just garbles the sound. Been thru all the FAQs etc on the Youtube site and from their point of view I am doing everything right. So why doesn't it work? " something not kosher here it plays for him ok at one site but not the other it is garbled at both sites for me i have been to youtube many times and have never had a bad sounding file am using vixy.net to convert it to avi -- no sound and http://keepvid.com/ it will be mp4 -- sound is better but the background music is so loud i cant make out what the lady is saying but it is not garbled ken
  2. i flushed my cache and then went to http://thelemonprincess.blogspot.com/ played the small and the big same results - garbled extracted flv's from temp folder - still garbled i r moused the show and allowed adobe to store maximum data on system - still garbled ken
  3. and the flv's retrieved from my temp internet folder are just as garbled and as a test this file from youtube plays/sounds perfect ken
  4. at the dailymotion your link http://tinyurl.com/4e67lx is just as garbled as on youtube - in fact it is very chopppy on the video as well ken
  5. the main music rack is clear on both files but there sounds like whispers in the background when converted to mpg the second track and played with wmp11 it is louder - the first line "babul writer~" and then it fades away to the garbled whisper so it seems the main instrumental track takes the glory from the speech track ken

  12. SEE http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index....ost&p=39192 QUOTE Yes, my mpg2 slideshows play well on Macs. BUT, apparently, they don't play with QuickTime or RealMediaPlayer but with VLC. Same thing for me (and other friends) under Windows : Windows Media Player doesn't work. Again, VLC is the solution; it gives a much better quality anyway and is OpenSource. KEN

  20. MAYBE WHAT WE NEED is a few test shows that have proved successfull some for desk tops some for laptops when posted they should include the system that they would/would not run on properly once posted i would upload the compilation to mediafire, then when we are asked we can refer people to this source of info this could also include the sort of thing that Barry posted the other day re pict size Lin, Tom, Barry, Igor etc, should have some in their collections with PTE evolving as it is the sooner we get this going the better the link could be placed in http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showforum=8 under Tutorials and Articles Important Topics ken

  24. Brian http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index....ost&p=53829 quote" Hey Ken, Thanks for the reply. I don't have another program and have not made DVD's to play on a regular DVD player before. I think I'm going to go and buy the complete new version of the software.... I hope that works. Maybe I can get reimbursed for the $20 that I paid for the upgrade. I really love pics2exe, but I wish there was a help number I could call and acutally talk to someone. Posting on the forum and getting replies that haven't worked for two days is so frustrating!!!" people think that making dvd's is a piece of cake -- in some instances it is but other times it is very frustrating with all the dvd's i have made, i still have problems at times am in the process of learning how my new desktop dvd player burner works - am trying to set up recording from a separate vcr -- paricular tape is how to prevent strokes -- good thing dvd's are cheap -- hope it doesnt bring on another stroke:( ken
