"How to produce high quality video CD/DVDs" well Leonard, it was not in the proper section "How to create video" that section was instituted in 2003 when Igor first allowed us to make vcd,svcd and a very few members -- dvd's I try not to answer threads that are not properly posted in the proper area-- it makes things so much easier when searching things out within the forum - I have developed my own faq file over the years and it is very difficult keeping things orderly ken

See a NEW popularity survey of your video screen resolution settings Hi END TV sets have evolved to the point of taking computer signals, memory cards etc and putining them on the screen -- and the images are great -- without having a monitor and one of the big sets side by side or in the same room to compare, it is hard to say which is best -- likely the monitor due to the size -- but one does not have a problem reading normal text on a normal tv -- tv stations format for the tv - graphics boards have been available for many years that take a tv signal input - standard and svhs and put on the monitor screen --- but if the signal is not strong the results are the same as would be on the tv - garbage in garbage out ken

this program changes so rapidly that it is nearly impossible to write a proper manual what is imperative tho' is to read all threads [RAT] in all sections not just the ones that appeal to your interests when ver 5 beta came out members had wrote manuals within a day that would get one started as well as Igor wrote one with the the beta that is still a valid document as members learn how to do things they advise the forum ronwil had a show up in less than 15 days quote May 8 2006, 04:31 AM Having completed now the conversion of an analogue sequence into PTE v 4.47 for a memorial presentation tomorrow afternoon, I have started to experiment with v.5.0 beta#2. However, I am finding it difficult making any progress as we appear to be woefuly short of instructions. Lin has provided a useful introductory tutorial so that one can get the feel of the new programme, but all the demo sequences appear to have been made by members with far more knowledge than seems to be available "in print". For instance my panoramas operate only from "right to left", my zooms only "in" and how do you make an add-on image, such as a title, operate independently of the main image. Am I to assume that those of you who have been successful in mastering this beta find it similar in its application to other software which you may have used. I appreciate that this is a beta and I know I am in my dotage, but I do like to keep abreast of developments. Ron [uK] ken
