start with a new cd start your cd authoring software select create a data disc direct the cd burning software to where the exe is add it to the cd burning software start the burn process ken

always save as the file name -- this creates the pte file wich contains all the smarts as to what the program is to do create as the file name makes the exe which is the working version of the pte -- all your picts and music put together as directed by the pte ken

is the file on the cd a .pte or a .exe you have to have the exe not the pte ken

dont know where my additional entry went but see How to play AVI http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/how_to_play_avi.cfm describes some of the steps to root out the problem and from my log today made a default avi and put in builder box completed all functions -- took 4h22min disk = 581 mb -- includes audio_ts and video_ts + 37 jpgs played continuously in dvd player tv set up wmp 10 will not play dvd OR VTS01_1VOB http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsme...amp;id=C00D11CD powerdvd , WINDVD, DIVX 6, NERO SHOW TIME will play VTS01_1VOB will maybe try to make one with nero with mpg and or video_ts and see how it plays nero made a data disk with the mpg and video_ts plays on dvd tv, and plays with wmp 10 mpg plays with wmp 10 dvd disk size is 1.01 gb ken

4H30M +- FOR 9 MIN SHOW if you are going to mess with video you need lots of puter horsepower and lots of time ken

robertg welcome to the forum I personally collect backgounds from web pages and when needed, i include an assortment in working folder then PROJECT OPTIONS/SCREEN/SOLID COLOUR and i select the one i want one source is http://www.grsites.com/textures/ but if you google for wallpaper you will get lots of hits web pages are usually pretty neat because gennerally the designer wants to grab your eye ken

Rainer for starters try making a basic default show 4:3 type i finally had success doing that with my own stuff and with Al's files -- using the builder and same is fine on a standard crt type tv just a thought tho --in Sept i took a p/z show to a place that had a plasma tv and show ws terrible -- took same show to my AV store and played it there - 100" screen via dvd/projector and it was letter perfect - asked why -- they said the other place not likely had it set up correctly so i would check all settings on your set up ken
