  1. Laura Anne part of a quote i made earlier today off list i use 4.48 to start the basics of a show then open it with ver5 and save it under a different name then i have the ver 4 pte and ver 5 pte working out of the same folder if i want to rev. the ver 4 show i open the original ver pte with ver 4 if i want to edit the ver 5 show i open the ver 5 renamed pte with ver 5 the pte file is likely the smallest part of your show so you can have many versions of a show in your working folder saved with different names - then you can diddle them at your pleasure till you are satisfied the thing to remeber that ver 5 is not complete so keep this link at your fingertips if you find something may not work http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index....0&hl=navbar ken
  2. see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memorex http://www.osta.org/technology/dvdqa/dvdqa13.htm http://www.dvddemystified.com/dvdfaq.html http://www.dvd-replica.com/DVD/gprm.php http://www.videohelp.com/dvdmedia Mitsumi used to have a great name for cd-r's so when i seen a deal on 200 mitsumi dvd-r with white printable surface i jumped at them -- i took them back just as fast as i was getting errors or no workee burns Right now i am working thru 2 100 spindles Verbatim and Philips dvd-r standard surface that are up to 16x burn speed -- my lg burner does them at 2x and my benq burner at 4x have read on forums this may be due to the fact i need to update the onboard drive smarts but do not want to upset things. so what may work on one burner may not on others benq non printable prepped surface disks + or - r are the best overall that i have found ken

Thanks Carroll" Caroll, if for some reason you do not get Michael's zip file you would save it as pte.txt first then r mouse pte.txt rename to pte.reg then do as Michael says you "double click" on the file pte.reg ken
  5. save it as pte.reg ken
  6. Patience is the ability to endure waiting, delay, or provocation without becoming annoyed or upset, or to persevere calmly when faced with difficulties. i guess this is Igor's thaksgiving gift to us -- and here i thought it was going to be the ver 5 with all the bells and whistles all enabled going back to prayer mode now ken

  13. but some of us that have been using the upload services you mention have had problems in the past and a 100 mb upload that is not available to some is a kind of a waste of bandwidth !! ken
  14. Fried "but I haven't taken the plunge as of now" if you can make a web page and or take picts like you have shown us there is no reason why you are holding back on making a dvd quoting Larry the Cable Guy "GET'ER DONE" IMHO your shows are just fine as they are ken

  17. sorry Dave but my ver 5 beta 6 help file works because many moons ago Igor straightened me out re windows protocol it must not be in a different folder the previous location that i used as an example is for version 3.65 i have 13 other versions installed on a different drive, all in their own folder so if somebody asks i can go back to the various versions and try to help them out.f For version 5 Igor has had to change how things are installed due to the new protocol dictated by MS VISTA ken

  25. "they want popular music with their slideshows" THE obvious solution then is to buy them the popular music cd from "TIME LIFE" and include the cost in your musicless shows and they can play the music till the cows come home ken
