  10. THIS FREEBIE will help you out if you are not sure what you have on your system http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html#tips The Belarc Advisor builds a detailed profile of your installed software and hardware, missing Microsoft hotfixes, anti-virus status, CIS (Center for Internet Security) benchmarks, and displays the results in your Web browser. All of your PC profile information is kept private on your PC and is not sent to any web server. Operating Systems: Runs on Windows 95/98/Me, NT 4, Windows 2000, XP and Windows Server 2003. ken
  11. great job Lin now make a how to tutorial for us greenhorns:) ken
  12. if you install the beta over or in the default folder you kind of up the proverbial creek but if you install theis program http://www.baxbex.com/openexpert.html and you have multiple versions of p2e installed in separate folders you train this program to open the version you want so if you have the beta installed in the default folder re install v4.48 in a separate folder install the openexpert program and train it with r mouse action to open version you wish they also have a shell application that gives Irfanview more smarts IrfanView ShellExtension 1.02 quote Before you download new version and new examples of slide-shows please attentively read the next text: 1) It's a very earlier beta and it temporarily doesn't include many features and functions existed in previous versions. Currently it contains only Fade and Circle transition effects and not synchronized background music which starts a little earlier than first slide. If you didn't find some function, it means that it's not implemented yet, because this version of PicturesToExe was fully re-written. ken
  13. Gooood stuff:) looks great on the tv -- no wiggles or shimmers ken

  18. Dan many dvd players will not play svcd's but will play vcd's and dvd's many moons [win98 era] ago graphic card mfg's -- in their bundle of software would throw in a vcd disk to show you what their card would do see http://www.videohelp.com/vcd and see if your player is compatible http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers of my 8 dvd players, only 3 of them will play svcd in the early days of p2e being able to make the avi/vid file it was very frustrating in the learning process to not be able to play the svcd one made mixed disk see http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4136 but if you are going to try a dvd you must use a dvd disk ken
  19. Ruth if you are not running ver4.48 you should because long time ago Igor updated a version that will look after "folder moving" of course all the picts music icons etc of the show must be the said folder that is to be moved - then the program will accept/find the new path to the components. ken

  24. this is what myseldf and others are trying to get across to people one has to create the show then if one so desires to burn it one has to select something that is going to make the avi then one has to click make dvd -- in whatever program one wants to use to make the dvd direct it to do the job the problem seems to be that people do not want to read the instructions and/ or buy the proper software to do the job when we had the first oppurtinity to make an avi , i couldnt even get the help file open so i winged it and made vcd's and svcd's until i got a dvd burner - and until Igor advised me of windows protocol violation that i had committed i was not able to open the help file ken
