ED i got a gig of ram my graphics card http://www.ati.com/products/radeon9000/aiw9000pro/index.html but i got a 2.8 mghz processor so i have no problem viewing the show Patrick was not in favour of the "peace" show from the start and he aint got the horsepower to run the show with his current system and if i remember right you were complaining early on re the direction the project was going you have to visit the forum daily , read ALL postings in every section not just the one's that strike your fancy btw you are listed in the credits ken
-
Patrick if i remember right you copuld not play LumenLuxe's last show with your main system. Ed - show runs smooth on my system -- the budda sequence is a variety of fades i believe I guess anybody that is having triouble with the show will not have the processing power for the pan and fade of ver 5.0 ken

It was like pulling teeth but we accomplished it . A big vote of thanks for all who worked on "Peace" ken

little bit late Barry Maureen has already put show together maybe you could have a look at this one tho seeing as you are back from your vacation http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3971 we tried to cover for you but one can only do so much -- forum members should get a deep discount for directing people to your site for training videos, sources of music etc:) ken
-
ted i will leave that up to more knowlegeable people but if you are trying to share your exe show with the rest of the forum see http://beechbrook.com/pte/ http://beechbrook.com/upload/ but Bill's site seems to have reached it's limit at present -- some people need to volunteer to take their shows down and let other new ones be posted you could always write Bill cottage@beechbrook.com and ask him when he expects to have free space. ken
-
Ralph. the cottage is not closed , Bill has been accepting files, he just does not leave them up "forever" ken

Ted get this proggie http://avicodec.duby.info/ it will tell you where every codec is installed on your system ken
-
using google i located this see http://www.updatexp.com/windows-xp-codecs.html but the codec you downloaded should have an installer if you installed it the drivers are likely in the system32 folder pte, nero etc that make programs will look at the system and ID all the codec's on your system as necessary where did you get it from you should not have" a program " on your desktop as desktops have been known to crash see http://www.annoyances.org/exec/show/article07-006 ken
-
April you lost me -=- the link i gave you is after Guido's entry re copying/pasting what you should be not be doing is trying to run it from the cd - -you should copy and paste it to the other system's hard drive from the cd then try running it on the other system this problem has been mentioned many times ken
-
when i download a codec package it generally has it's own installer and in siome cases it is installed in the system program file s section did you install it what is on your desktop -- is that what you down loaded see http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3943 for some details re screen/picture settings ken

April see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copy-and-paste http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=...fulltext=Search ken

"Is the high-density mosaic effect (which I use except first 2 and last 1 slide) a real heavy demand on processor or graphics card? Could that be," Robert -- ithought you were trying to simulate snow and i thought you were being quite creative with the effect as i said before there was no hiccups on my system and i was 25% of my bandwidth at the same time as the show was running ken some of my specs Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 (build 2600) Processor a Main Circuit Board b 2.80 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4 16 kilobyte primary memory cache 1024 kilobyte secondary memory cache Board: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. Lin perfect - smooth start and show started at 10% 23.8 mb file+- strawberries were tasty but i stayed away from the jalapeno's -- left them for Robert "the old bear hunter" ken
-
Patrick smooth on my system - no jerkiness Robert good stuff:) ken
-
Sheila It is not a good practice to try running from the cd - depending on the file size affects the performance -- you are better off copying to the desktop and running from there, and delete it weh done if you so wish ken btw welcome to the forum
-
Lin show was a bit jerky at start then smoothed out - second time around it plays perfect and is up to your usual standards of quality - have retieved same from temp int folder and will play it direct from hard drive later ken
-
did you play it from the disk drive or the hard drive on the other system ken
