  1. Trudy as well as Brian's advice see http://www.guru.to.it/en/tips/regkey_en.htm to help you and if you are using outlook express you will have to uncheck a box to allow attachments if you send me your address i will send you a screen shot of the box to uncheck also you may have to disable something in your anti virus program so also include it also try to copy and paste the zip file to the desktop and try opening it there -- do not try opening from your mail program and lastly -- have you ever experienced this before with zip files ken

  5. walusa welcome to the forum see http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums//index...t=ST&f=4&t=1906 http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums//index...t=20entry9957 you will have to experiment with the proper placement of text -- once you get it figured out you will have a starting point for the next show i always have set that i was going to make a dvd when making the temp avi and when stting up the show i have to have screen resolution at 1024/768 to get things aligned properly i have cheat marks on the edge of monitor case to help guide me and dont forget to allow for the scroll bar on the right of screen when centering things ken
  6. Jim great job and thanks to all your fellow Birders for their pictures sounds and help in your show. you guys in Ottawa got it all -- beautiful birds, scenery and of course all the people under investigation for shafting the Canadian people ken

  8. i could not find this page in my original post -- it is the one that set me straight http://www.scantips.com/basics06.html so if people that have digital cameras -- can we not use Wayne"s idea - ie take large pictures and let p2e resize them and thus get optimum results? we should think outside the monitor and plan for putting the show on dvd/tv people have their monitors set for their liking, but as a rule they do not generally adjust their tv set ( until it gets old) ken
  9. Flying Scotsman see www.scantips.com http://www.telacommunications.com/nutshell.../pixelation.htm http://www.windowsphotostory.com/Guides/NoPixelZoom/ when i first started to scan i found that if i scanned an 8x10 pict at 300dpi,as a tif, gave it a 1 or 2 sharpen then resized the picture to 1024 / 768 and saved it as a jpg. the jaggies were minimized when my picts/show were on a dvd for tv also see http://satellite.ehabich.info/explanation.html The latest cloud data are compiled by Hari Nair from GOES, METEOSAT, and GMS satellite imagery. The thumbnail on the left gives an idea of the format. The image is resampled to a higher resolution to minimize the pixelation on the Planetary close-ups. ken
  10. stonemason closest thing i have found is http://www.johnhannah.net/career.html http://www.johnhannah.net/voice.html Classic FM 100 Favorite Poems John Hannah is one of a number of contributors to this collection of 100 of the best-loved poems in Britain. He reads one poem in the collection - "She walks in beauty" by Lord Byron. found lots of hits for Leisure by William Henry Davies -- but just the words ken

  15. Harry give us a hint as to the date and was it from the "cottage" btw i have copies of all the web pages from the cottage saved to hd and was unable to find 911 so you are going to have to give a real good hint spoke too soon it was on page 1 dec 2002 that i saved -- that is where i have stated to save from and had just saved when Bill took down the cottage 9/11 A Year Later File Size: 4.8M By: mailto:masrawy522@hotmail.com Download Count: 85 have also located some flash show's but they are too big to mail also see http://attacked911.tripod.com/ for music and a swf show -it is +- 7mb but you could retrieve it from your temp int folder harry i have the 9/11 a year later but it is just music and pictures -- no flowers being spread -- no singing ken
  16. Ron i use the free versions of Lavasoft's AdAware SE personal version, SpyBot Search and destroy and WinPatrol winpatrol and SpyBot are running in the background and are in my XP Home startup both warn whether you want to allow something to be put in SpyBot sets a restore point when removing something -- and when you first run it i run screen shots of the gremlins it has detected -- one must know what you are going to remove it is most effective in some cases Adaware quaratines or removes so you can get the stuff back i also run the MS desktop/web search plugin as well as altavista's browser plugin which also has a pop up blocker -- normally i have Altavista disabled and rely on the Popup blocker in MS's Desktop plugin. i also keep s/c's to http://doxdesk.com/parasite/ and http://aumha.org/win5/a/noads2.php http://aumha.org/a/quickfix.htm the doxdesk site describes how to get rid of certain trojans the doxdesk site was the original and James A. Eshelman has copied the script from doxdesk because doxdesk is sometimes down as he describes on his site i was told about another piece of software today that a fella had to install "XoftSpy" that is about all i can tell you other than it is a personal decision and you have to know what is doing what -- windows media player among others want to look for things thus they are classed as gremlin you have read some of the exploits by Granot and others have gone thru, perhaps Brian" CONFLOW " will jump in as he walked Granot out of his mess ken
  17. Naomi we all have been there done that so do not think you are alone from what i can make out your burning software is HP's http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/generic...ocname=buy60352 next time you burn any disk when you start the program --not p2e -- read the help/about to clear things up as to exactly what you are burning with and post it in this thread also edit your posted belarc results to remove serial #'s -- you never know who reads these forums or what they do with the information they read happy burning ken
  18. and if you want to position the comments see http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums//index...t=0entry21326 ken
  19. if you email the exe they can only play it on a computer i would suggest you get a local expert to show you what you have or go here and get a free program that will analyze your system and tell you what you have if you still do not know, then send the belarc results to me and i will tell you http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html
  20. Naomi welcome to the forum you are first going to have to tell us what cd authoring program you have you have already told us you do not have a dvd burner but you say you got something to a cd what proggie did you use if you do not have a dvd burner the minimum you will be able to make is a vcd which will not be as sharp as was on your monitor but will be satisfactory -- years ago graphic card companies used to include a vcd with their software to show what their graphic card was capable of -- i still have one that ATI issued - "the eagle has landed - the journey of Apollo II" plays beautiful on the tv with my home dvd player now if your family members have computor's you will be able to burn the show's exe to a cd and they will be able to play it a further word of advice -- if you go the exe route to cd, have them copy and paste it from the cd to the desk top - it will run better give us more info on your system -- hardware and software ken
