  2. Brian welcome to the forum set your screen display at 1024/768 in you are in North America -- NTSC -- if PAL i cant help make your show at 95% screen size +- and see where things line up you should avoid borders on your slides till you get a handle on screen size setting -- vertical edges are prone to wiggles when viewed on the tv use forum search for shimmer http://archive.ncsa.uiuc.edu/SCMS/training...tails/ntsc.html http://archive.ncsa.uiuc.edu/SCMS/training...on-imagery.html states One of the most important factors to consider in any image processing is resolution. For NTSC video the maximum resolution of an image is 640 x 480 pixels. To avoid cutting off the edges of an image a 15% margin should be used, or dimensions smaller than 640 x 480 (see Animation Recording). For medium resolution slides images should not exceed 1280 x 1024 pixels. Images smaller than this will not entirely fill the slide frame (see Film Recording). http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=video+...le+Search&meta= http://stuffo.howstuffworks.com/video-format.htm ken

  5. rename the pte back to exe and run it then do screen shots of every picture search forum for screenshots the subject has been covered many times -- in fact the last time it really came up a member criticized us for telling a member to do screen shots to recover your pictures i would save them as jpgs at 100% quality in case you have to trim the picts --- if you do not have too many save them as tiffs or bmps first do your timming of borders - -correct colour then save as jpegs boxig has an utility to make the process a bit easier ken

Another point is that i have your name so that i can properly index it -- initials or short forms are not sufficient thanks for your cooperation ken

  12. well i just gioogled and it does not look promising for the average person see http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&q=copy+p...ect+cds&spell=1 one has to deal with honest people years ago i was approached to video hockey tournament's -- i told the organizers i would supply manpower to run cameras, install coax cable in their arena and run a feed to a room where they could make tapes and sell them for X$ per hour -- they thought that was expensive -- i explained that the potential to sell tapes was very slim -- possibly 2 tapes per game -- one to the winner and one to the loser cause i was not so naive to think they would not make copies for other members on the team -=- once i explained the logistics they decided thathey couldn't make any money either -- figure skaters on the on the other hand were more honest when we would tape their carnivals and competitions ken

  16. Maureen i neglected to add "more" ahead of user friendly i am not saying it is not user friendly while in Italy you better pop in and see Guido ken
  17. the reason Bill wants things zipped is to pass the files easily thru various security schemes - isp's -- mail proggies etc ken
  18. well i hope the code thing is user selectable -- i work with other users to try and resolve shows/problems -- we freely interchange all picts, music, pte, exe's when trying to sort out problems ideas etc and if there is an embedded code how are we going to do this IMHO the more little things you put in to protect us from ourselves make the program more vulnerable to not working make registration more user friendly i asked a year ago to make the program recognize the folder i was working in so i dont have to do a bunch of things to find music -- i put everything in the folder when i start a show -- no action as yet that is making the program "smart and user friendly" we discussed making a section for "other" software discussion -- no action ken
  19. AND what does one do when they misplace the code --- how many times do we hear " i lost my reg code" or i rearranged my files now p2e gives me a message it cant find files when i start a show ????? ken
  20. Roger i tried to stop it in the bud, but it is like a bad weed -- hard to kill ) we have discussed Proshow so many times before but it keeps coming back to disrupt the flow of p2e issues ken
  21. K try making the same show with a different mp3 for starters or try changing transitions to straight fade -- i ran into a problem with a show using push transition - switched to fade and problem went away ken
  22. when you make the show, set it so it only plays for x # of days -project options/advanced screen - then when you give out the exe on a cd i think it will only work for that period of time but if you burn it to dvd i think you are out of luck I have never tried either but have read about the different methods and copying many times and have added my comments many times -- most recent was http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums//index...9&hl=thumbnails do a search of the forum -- this has been discussed many times -- ken
  23. YOU SHOULD REALLY BE ASKING ON THE PROSHOW FORUM oh dear i dont know whether they have a forum ken
  24. where there is a will there is a way ken
  25. IMHO it is not as user friendly as WinDvd it will not run at my preferred screen resolution of 800/600 - it demands 1024/768 to make discs -i have problems seeing the screen- when it starts to do a dvd the encoding/ burning starts right away so if you happen to see a mistake you have made, you either accept your mistake or throw away your disk - expensive mistake if one is burning dual layer disc's I wrote them with my concerns, got theusal form letter thankng me and then they sold the company to Sonic. but if you are friendly with the software go for it -- when we first were given the opportunity to make dvd's with p2e, i made a ton of vcd,and svcd's using roxio 5 and 6 until i got a dvd burner. Other members also use it and we dont hear of the problems with Roxio as we do with other Programs. ken
