the software did not make a bad partition why dont you get the University Computing services to help get you out of the mess -- --quite likely P2e is in the damaged portion of the drive and you are just making things worse -- i would seriously consider taking the drive to somebody that can ghost it to a new drive -- next thing you will have lost your term papers ken

can you not just remove the folder reboot in safe mode and delete the folders then reinstall ken

VR in case you decide to add comments see comment placement http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums//index...&t=2253&hl=push there are a couple urls in the thread that will help you further ken

VR welcome to the forum did you click the box to show full screen Project options/scree/ fit to screen + try the 100% setting --if you are still losing too much - cut this value back in small increments but i would not go less than 90% as you bring up another problem - verticalon the right edge will shimmer - wiggle use forum search for shimmer -- your original prob will likely be brought up in one of the many threads ken
-
Speedy welcome to the forum if you installed your license properly - double clicked the reg file it is now in your registry so make sure you have saved the original file c/w the covering letter when you purchased it - put on a couple floppies -- make sure you can read the floppies and uninstall reinstall the program the support team are in Russia so there may be a time difference ken

Garris i just tested the reply function to http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums//index...2899&hl=shimmer http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums//index...2991&hl=shimmer and both would let me make a reply. by chance do you have a popup blocker or similar software installed that may be affecting the reply function -- if so try disabling -- i sometimes have to disable my altavista popup blocker to get things to move -- these security things are for the good of all but can be a big pain when they act when they shouldn't ken

Larry if you have xp try a system restore to date before you moved system i had that problem with my win 98 system and somehow virtual desktop had got turned on maybe try a google for "no desktop icons" ken

Gordon I suggest you float a loan from Barclay's -- the Chairman Matthew W Barrett, worked for a spell in the colonies and is well aware of the poor and destitute so i quite imagine he will understand your position. Then on the night of the show put your Nepal Pith helmet at the door for donations from your mates -- i trust they are a giving bunch and can be expected to dig deep, i just hope they are trustworthy -- but just in case i would empty the Pith before the lights go out. Barclay's have been critized in the past for closing some branches in order to make the business more profitable for the shareholders, but do not let the sway you from applying for the loan, just tell Matt the Canadians recommended his bank. jevans i would think if you used any of the betas of 4.4 as igor is calling them -- the settings would be expected to be mixed up when using sy(p) in its current state that is for 4.3 ken

jeanie if they are mp3 sound clips you can open each clip individually outside the program with a music player such as Irfanview or Audacity and read how long they play ken

Jim i hope that is true -- we have been trying to find an answer for the trial statement that came out with version 11 for +- 6 mos. now -- version 10 still works on my systems so not planning on upgrading until i hear something firm -- dont like to shout wolf but hate those popups that say you have two days left in the trial then you SOL ken
-
db power amp may no longer be free the web page is very confusing http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm 100% Free (mp3 encoder on trial license), No nags, popups, hidden spyware or bundleware. trial license -- this is the confusion and I have been unable to find a direct contact to the author -- just thru their forum if you can locate a version 10 it does not have any mention of trial but version 11 does ken

Igor please put them in a pinned location ken

well if you go back a year and a half +- a lot of people wanted to make dvd's -- Igor complied and gave us the option -- now i dont make a show for the computor -- i make it for the dvd player -- i dont have a projector and neither do any of my family but they do have dvd players and tv's -- and when checking/testing it is pretty hard sell to run an exe on a a series of computers at a electronics store -- but it is an easy sell to run a vcd/svcd/dvd --- they hope to sell a product one of our members that we dont hear from any more used to say " think outside the box" ken

Garris using the search for shimmer, i came up with this thread http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums//index...2899&hl=shimmer there are several links within the thread that will possibly give you a better understanding of the problem Personally the latest shows i made from friends and family were the images as taken with their digital cameras not resized or adj other than rotating them as necessary and the resaving at 100% compression thus keeping the original picture size and the shows were quite large- one show was +- 320 meg -- picts ranged in size 2048/1536 pixels and between 700kb to 2.5 mb - when burned to a dvd and played in home player to a tv i felt the pictures had more depth + i saved the time reqd to diddle/resize them --- but you have to have a lot of computer power to make the exe. I have not yet tried to import the temp avi directly into my authoring programs -- one of the other members and myself are working together trying to resolve the best procedure to achieve optimum results -- but he is edging towards full size pictures as well ken

jevans you really should be telling the forum which beta you are using 4.4 beta 8 is latest and igor has been making changes with each bete with the sync functions and i have been wrong before but i thought i read that SY(P) has to be rewritten for 4.4 quote Jean-Claude Posted: Mar 11 2005, 05:18 AM New Member Group: Members Posts: 4 Member No.: 1832 Joined: 5-November 04 QUOTE (ronwil @ Mar 10 2005, 02:59 PM) I have just tried one of my recent PTE's on SY(P) and the "Page rolling down from the top" is shown as "Unknown effect in PTE 4.20". But no tantrums. Ron [uK] The current version of Sy(P) is in accordance with PTE 4.30. At the moment I work on a new version in order to make it compatible with PTE 4.40. Igor recently (thanks to him) let me know the last specifications. Next version will also include - merging and splitting PTE projects - modification of slideshow main parameters - possibility of adding external remarks (different from comments) to each pictures ... and some others goodies ken
