  1. Kevin you have to have that box checked if you are synced -- want control of show and you have show navigation bar on advanced page in order to have it appear, and i seem to remember maybe something about mouse buttons -- maybe set to none try the first before you diddle with mouse buttons see http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums//index...+navigation+bar and you may have to update see the dates of the above the feature was added to one of the revisions ken
  2. Tom finally a show that doesnt take control on my system especially the pause button so i can study you angle of view and not have to get out my laser pointer to point out things right on ken
  3. Zydercojoe you have to make sure that your browser settings are set to not shut off your browser after X# of mins if there is nothing doing I can just imagine you sitting there and not daring to touch anything and then it quits so you should make sure your dial up and modem settings are correct if you are not sure phone your ISP for guidance. ken
  4. gallantphoto welcome to the forum one answer or part of it is here http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;en-us;327609 are you trying to run off the cd or did you xfer the exe to the other computer's hard drive this question has been answered many times on the forum -- use the search function and see if your answer is there maybe one quick solution is to burn the show to dvd puters are like cars -- no 2 run the same ken
  5. Hans see if you can raise RayPar remember the big wedding cd that he sent to some members -2002- see if he has got into dvd's -- a while back i think he did post about a new baby he had buttons and quite a few other enhancements long before most - he might be able to give you a few helping ideas you can icq the exe to me to enjoy:) ken
  6. ED see my entry re ATI at http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums//index...2027&hl=shimmer bit of theory behind the cause ken
  7. Hans long time no see if you burn it by importing it to DVDSANTA, when you insert the disc in the home player, the show starts as soon as it loads, and continues until you eject it. I cant say how your buttons will work, and i have yet to find the controls to stop snta being "on top" all the time see http://www.dvdsanta.com/ ken
  8. Ashu welcome to the forum. pan and zoom and the Ken Burns effect have been discussed may times -- at the present time pte will not do it on it's own use the search feature of the fourm and you will see what others have done ken
  9. I think you better have a look here http://www.videohelp.com/ before you go much further in your quest there are different types of disc's and i think your basic questions will all be answered here then we can get into the heavy duty stuff ken
  10. you have to have a dvd disk to make a dvd as well as a dvd burner ken
  11. mikkyboots saving slide show to a cd rom see if i got this right -- you want to save your show to a cd --possibly to show someone on their computer you have to save the exe to the cd not the pte file ken
  12. kdwolfe one of my dim lights got brighter you said you are using LE does it support dvd burning in some cases the software thant comes bundled with a burner will only burn vcd/svcd -- the want more money check the help file and see if sonic supports it When Igor issued the avi feature i had to upgrade my roxio easycd to be able to burn dvd's -- at the time i didnt have a dvd burner but i had to upgrade when i got a dvd burner to full suite -- they suck one in to buy all the bells and whistles ken
  13. there is no comparison between image quality on your monitor and your tv your monitor will be better if you have the computing power, make the show using better/bigger pictures - i have made shows using picts that are as big as fom 700 kb to 2 mb -- they show great on a 51" wide screen with aspect set at 4:3 and viewed at the proper distance my computer specs are mentioned in various threads ken
  14. welcome to the forum Bert position the cursor example of your text 123456789 between 4 and 5 and hit return between 6 and 7 hit return and so on till the layout is the way you want it then ok then view the slide and see how the layout looks ken
  15. steve you can likely get away with 90 - 95 % screen size -- this will generally get rid of borders and the resulting "vertical jaggies" when placing the comments text run your screen at 1024 x 768 -- draw vert and horizontal centre cheat marks on your monitor case and experiment for the sweet spot to place your comments-- your might have to diddle the placemaent so use dvd-rw disks to experiment to see how your show looks on the tv screen some experimentation takes time but the extra time will give you a better looking show good luck ken
  16. real slick -- did you have any chase you? ken
  17. vitesse1968 welcome to the forum many of us has stuggled with the comments -- but the solution was there all the time SEE http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums//index...t=ST&f=4&t=1906 ken

  20. Tony it took me +- 4 hrs to burn a 4.8 + gig mpeg yesterday the specs for my computer have been mentioned many time - the short specs -- xp home sp2 - 2.8 ghz - 1 gig swp and 1 gig ram elsewhere in the forum there are some of my other file sizes and times to convert using various methods I have the best luck with nero 6 platinum suite then windvd 6 suite -- if you are making dvd's it takes lots of time and computing power ken

  24. well you cant make an avi file using midi either because a midi is computer music and I dont know how we can explain the temp avi file any better than Igor explained it in one of the threads i gave you we were all in the same situation a year ago - we all started from scratch in the avi feature Ken
