  11. a quick search with google for ken burns bio revealed this http://shopping.yahoo.com/p:Ken%20Burns:18...:page=biography Burns wanted his films to "live," and to that end adopted the technique of cutting rapidly from one still picture to another in a fluid, linear fashion. He then pepped up the visuals with "first hand" narration gleaned from contemporary writings and recited by top stage and screen actors. Burns' first successful venture was the award-winning documentary The Brooklyn Bridge, which ran on public television in 1981. While he was Oscar-nominated for his 1985 theatrical release ~ k

  24. so how many versions of French are there we in Canada have Quebec French which i am told is different from France French then we have UK English that we in Canada call Canadian English -- but our friends to the south have American English and they have spelling mistakes like you can't believe when compared to UK/Canadian English and the UK have have dialects -- Welsh for example -- Ronnie will have to translate and send to Igor how many versions/dialects are there in the Holland Belgium area -- where is the true language spoken -- in the centre of each country ? or at each capital city where your government is located ? IMHO I think you are splitting hairs ken
  25. following is a quote from Lockergnome re sizing in powerpoint -- it may be applicable to the topic ken PowerPoint presentations can become very large when you are inserting images into the slides. One option you have to get around this problem is to manually convert all the graphics to a more compressed file type such as a JPG. An even easier method is to have PowerPoint take care of this for you. Once you have your presentation open, click View, point to Toolbars, and place a check beside Pictures. The Picture toolbar will appear in your presentation. On this toolbar there is a button called Compress Pictures. If you click on this button, the Compress Pictures dialog box will appear. Under the Apply to section, you can select which pictures you want to compress. You can compress selected pictures or you can compress all pictures in the presentation. You can also change the resolution of the pictures. The resolution for Web/Screen is 96dpi and 200 dpi for the Print option. You can also have the cropped areas of pictured deleted (in case you didn’t know, the cropped area of pictures is usually just hidden, not deleted). Lockergnome's Windows
