  1. Chris welcome to the forum. from the main pte screen project options main tab - check box control of show advanced tab show navigation bar -- select what you want it to show -- there is a pause feature and i believe you must check always show mouse cursor and i beliecve if you do not check the box to show nav bar, the normal arrow buttons, pause etc apply btw there are no daft questions -- tis better to ask than dig yourself into a hole you cant get out of ken
  2. Well i had not played with the light table since it was instituted so i installed beta 9 2 problems have apppeared to me the help file will not work same is installed/unpacked here D:\P2E Shows\v4.30 beta #9 prog D:\P2E Shows\4.3 beta 3 program -- help file works fine relocated beta 9 to D:\v4.30 beta #9 help file still no good -Igor- right panel will not display same problem as a year ago -- but the relocation did not help putting the help file here D:\ it works renaming the folder to pte_v4.30_b_9 and placing here D:\pte_v4.30_b_9 the help file works and placing it back to D:\P2E Shows\pte_v4.30_b_9 help file works think it was the # sign beta 9 -- when i right click on a picture in the light table to open it -- irfanview opens it ok but i get an "access violation at address 00404732 in module'4_30 beta 9 apr.exe'. Read of address 00677062. i click ok and the error goes away picture open and pte does not close as it does for Al system i opened a different show and the error messages did not come up when r clicking to open a pict fun and games have begun clean install xp home- pent4-2.8ghz-gig of ram ken
  3. Al while you were on vacation this file association thing came up - - i gave some suggestions to Ron to make the change and he had good luck windows explorer tools/folder options/file types open with I am always shaky when i get in this area so basically you are on your own -- years ago i screwed up bigtime messing with file associations, so now irfanview is default for icons and jpgs and windows system does the rest - at least nowdays most programs give on the option of association when installing them Maybe go back a couple weeks in the search to see if you can find the exact thread for the details good luck ken
  4. Bart's site is up again see http://www.multimediamatrix.org/ ken

  7. the other day while checking out the specs oF WINDVD PLATINUM 6, i came across a term i was not familiar with. WMV HD did a google and came to this site http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsme...ntShowcase.aspx High Definition Quality with Windows Media Video 9 Professional there are some clips here and some test features to test your system and recommendations if you wanted to build a new system as i had just had one built i wanted to see if mine would play the clips - -i had gone cheap on the video board as i am not into games and my ati 9000 all in wonder only has 64 mb of on board ram they recommended a min of 128, my techie came around and he said to try it anyway -- i have a gig of ram and a gig swp file and a 2.8 ghz processor, so i downloaded a small dolphin file - 720p (85 MB) - all i could say was WOW - the quality was great and my wmp 9 /system handled it. so i started downloading a whole bunch - took the small and the big files -- 2.6 gigs in all i unzipped and put them in a folder and using the nero 6 suite was going to do a dvd -- it crashed and i did not see the error message. so i separated out the small and big and was going to try a vcd - - hung up on Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind so i tried to play it with wmp9 and it requires a license -- once it got a license from the web it played, but i did not want to waste time and took it out of the folder and proceeded to make a vcd with the smaller 720p files - turned out great -- music and voice great -- so decided to try dvd again less Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind . when i was putting it together one of the dolphin files did not show an image - was a closed envelope so i deleted it and proceeded to make the dvd. and it is a keeper. so if you want to test your system components, your methods etc using hi quality feedstock have a look at the MS site -- IMHO it is time well spent ken
  8. Fred it is 8.6 megs and there is a curtain i didn't see it couls send if you had a peer to peer like icq etc ken

  10. Fred , the show i was thinking of was made by Rudi Reinbold Munich, January 1st, 2003 RudiRe, Munich, Germany and the curtains i thought were there were not but it was creative show and received much praise Rudi may be able to help you in your quest RudiReinbold@aol.com hope this is some help ken Start the JUKEBOX by doubleclicking the Jukebox.exe. After that, it will take about thirty seconds until the JUKEBOX has fully loaded and will start, maybe a bit more or less, depending upon your specific computer setup. The faster your CPU and the more RAM you have, the faster the JUKEBOX will load. IMPORTANT: Only doubleclick the JUKEBOX.EXE once. Otherwise, several instances get loaded, which puts quite some burden upon your computer and it will take even longer to load. While loading, it seems, as if nothing happens. So don't get impatient. It loads. You shouldn't be doing anything else with your computer, while the Jukebox is loading. After loading, you will have 50 compositions from SCOTT JOPLIN at hand, which you can select in an interactive, jukeboxlike surface, together with infos about Scott Joplin and much more................ Have fun, Rudi Reinbold Munich, January 1st, 2003 RudiRe, Munich, Germany
  11. Fred the readme info from a kids song disk i have from Win 3/win95 days -- it uses a curtain effect like what was used at the movie theatres back in the '50's maybe you might pick up a disk at a flea market/yard sale does not really like winxp format -- runs in dos mode i think:( -- i have no idea how you would extract the the curtains --- 3-4 years ago the were some shows posted that had some unique opening effects -- will have to go thru my archive's-- members names that are getting my thought process going - Hans, NoBeefstu and a german fella - Rudy? had a juke box effect -- Maybe Guido or other old members might chime in here ken Dr.T's Sing-A-Long Series Copyright © 1993 - 1995 by Dr.T's Music Software, Inc. 12. well Cindy to run the exe you need a computer -- so your quest will be to find a projector with a computer your next thing to look at is, burn the show to dvd and check with your friendly electronics store and ask if they have a projector that you can connect a home type dvd player to that is likely the simplest thing ken
  13. Sam i'm not about to click it but thanks for pointing it out this proggie has got more things -- an average guy would never find them all:) ken
  14. there are numerous entries for sources for royalty free music in the forum database --- use the search feature as well Barry Beckman at http://www.beckhamdigital.co.uk/ http://www.beckhamdigital.co.uk/royaltyfreemusic.htm shows royalty free music quite a number of forum members use music recommended by Barry you must remember that "free" mp3's are un licenced and you are liable for for prosecution by the the Music police in the UK and by the music industry all over the world ken

  16. Alan well i have been thru the "help" problem the program must bu unzipped and installed in a "standalone " folder for the help function to display it's contents -- for example my original install is located here C:\Program Files\PicturesToExe extract the zip to that folder and run the setup to that folder i do things differently tho' and install each new version on my "D" drive in a folder showing what version it is -example D:\P2E Shows\4_3 beta 4 program i then make a new properly named shortcut to that version if by chance there is a big problem with that beta i can easily revert back to a working version -- i got into trouble when i made another folder within that folder for the program -- the help file would not display its contents. then i keep track of specific threads related to the latest program here D:\P2E Shows\4_3 beta 4 notes when i start to make a new show -- i do as Chuck says -- i create a folder c/w ALL music pictures icons special notes links to info from web etc in that folder, and if i remove the folder to cd i note on the cd what drive it is from -- with the advances that Igor is making with the program, you may wish to do your "removed shows" again with the new features krn

  23. well i do it to get rid of a vertical border or picture edge so i dont see the waviness when i burn to dvd and play it on tv it is an experimental thing -- you have to play with these things to make your self satisfied it took an awful lot of playing with picts and disks to reach a happy medium Carol Thomas rooski11 came up the resizing back last dec early jan when she was playing shows on a widescreen tv but if i remember right it had something to do with retaining original pict size -- we also had to come up with proper text placement -- we were losing text when played on the tv a lot of fiddling and changing methods came about when we started to make a show for tv viewing a search of this section http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums//index...ite=screen+size revealed lots of hits using screen size as the key words ken
  24. Dennis I have checked a 26:35 and a 30:56 min show with no problem -- both shows made with the 4.3 beta 3 the 26:35 min uses a continuous mp3 - joined with Audacity and the 30 min 56 secs show uses 10 separate mp3 both are synchronized automatically with control of the show option checked have you tried to make the show again with the same picts settings and music with the same beta? ken
