    David the pte extension is the file that is made when you do your fist save as -- it contains the settings pict order etc for the program assume your fist show is called david when do a saveas david a pte file is created david.pte you must now do a create as david and a file named david.exe will be created the exe is your show the pict to exe program will open the pte or you can use a text editor to open it if yo want to see the settings ken
  2. dagrace welcome to the forum I start out with a fresh folder properly named - then copy and paste all picts into that folder,and when the time comes then i put copy's of all music, icons, urls text motes etc in that folder. then bascially follow your steps other than story board -- i have it in my mind what i want as you get used to the program you will develop a pattern do not be afraid to save as and create as under different names to reflect your changes -- you may want to experiment with fades text etc and is so easy to do a save as create as then compare your different versions i would label the picts first then resize with same editor -saves time- a lot of members use Irfanview which is very user friendly pict size 0f 80 - 150kb jpgs seems to be the optimum size and mp3's seem to work best good luck ken

Catlem welcome to the forum try a new cable from camera to usb switch usb ports download to a friends computer ?? if yes put the picts on a cd while there to CYA try reading cd at home talk to computer shop the usb bus could be bad do you have anything else/or friend that can plug into your usb bus ken
  6. what program are you using to lower the size I and a lot of other members have good luck using Irfanview -- i generally use a compression ratio of 80 % quality for jpgs ken
  7. using adaptec software select create a data disk you will be using the exe of your show so you have to find the exe then get it into the lower right area dragging it there will get it in the window make sure you have a blank un formatted disk in the cd burner drive an select burn good luck ken

  11. Gerard have tried several times to get Venise, entre apparences et réalités" auteurs : P. & N. Salquèbre Double regard sur Venise au double visage... (fichier : venise_800.exe - 18 Mo) and no luck with it -- will not download no problems with the rest ken

One of the sync people will have to answer that -- i just set sync and forget it years ago one of my Mentors that did slideshows with Kodak Carousels said "Ken, leave a slide on any longer than 4 secs is too much" so i add music till it works out did you ever notice the default for slide duration the Igor builds into the program??? works for me and the grandkids ken

  17. try opening the pte with 4.2 resave as and create as using a new name then see if the new exe will run ken

Cindy i went to your site looking for "dancing Dreams" -- did not find the music i did a google search and came up with the site i mentioned http://www.oceaneyes.net/dancingdreams.html i was unable to find the music Dancing dreams so i played your show - -at the end you put the music on the screen -- it was not dancing dreams -- some other guy -- unable to do a screen capture or pause show to write down the name of the music author/song not a very successful challenge other than the name "Dancing Dream's" is from the "Nutcracker Suite" ballet by Tchaikovsky so much for trying to help Ken
